The heavy silver revolver sat on the white tablecloth.

Griffin stared at the weapon. The metal reflected the bright light from the crystal chandelier. His heart hammered violently against his ribs. He kept his face completely blank.

Chairman Roth smiled. His cold blue eyes watched every single movement Griffin made.

Nico was shivering on the hard marble floor. The boy’s face was covered in dark purple bruises. Blood dripped slowly from his split lip. He looked up at the man he knew as his boss.
