"Tell me little guy," the bird said, stepping closer to Butch, ''can you find your mother? Or do I have to share you with my siblings''

The muscles in Butch's tightened as multiple bird appeared on the tree's around him. He couldn't escape this, he was already surrounded in every direct by creatures far stronger and faster than him not mentioning their ability to vanish.

He swallowed hard, taking another glance at every bird. Their beaks were long and sharp, they all had dark green feathers.

His escape had proven meaningless and now he had been corned by birds a shame that could shatter his mind, if his mind wasn't consumed by the threat of death.

He trembled every path he looked to offer no refuge and with every step the bird took death felt certain.

The bird frowned, stepping closer toward's the trembling spider.

''I'll take that as no,'' It said with a sigh and a certain glee in its eyes as its beak opened, threatening to eat Butch.

''I CAN FIND HER!'' Butch screamed while the bird's drool touched his head, his word were meaningless but right now he needed anything to save his life even if it was a lie. It was better to cling to a lie than to...

"Really" The bird said, licking the drool off its beak and with a smile asked, "when will you find her?"

The world seemed to blurr for Butch as his mouth dried, how could he find? Where would he look? And would they believe him? These questions echoed in his mind as he looked at the bird that struggled to wipe drooling from its mouth.

"Gulp" he gulped before parting his lips, ''In 30 days.''

The bird's eyes narrowed as it licked it's beak again, not to wipe its drool but telling Butch that it would rather eat him than wait 30 days.

It took a step closer, it's beak parting.

"Ten days that's the best I can do," Butch said in a rushed tone but the bird stopped squinting its eyes as if asking for more.

'I have to buy time until my level is high enough to kill it,' Butch thought as he said. ''Right now, my level is too low to track their pheromones.''

His memories lead him to the ant's, if the ant's could find each other by scent why couldn't spiders do it.

''Once I level up a few times, I'll find them for you,'' he said, lowering his head to show submission.

The bird smiled. "Good, you have five days."

Butch eyes widened, no matter how fast he moved he could never level up to the birds level in five day.

'I have to escape.' he thought as the bird continued, ''until then some of my siblings will keeping an eyes on you."

The bird voice deeped as it leaned closer, "If you try to escape, I'll.."

It didn't bother to finish it's statement as it licked the blue web wrapped around Butch severed leg and Butch could only gritt his teeth hoping for it all to end.

"I'll see you in five day's," It said with a smile, spreading its wings and took off into the sky.

The chirping returned to the air, the other birds left the tree's spreading their wings through the sky beneath the white sun.

"Ha," Butch sighed in relief while his body crumbled onto the ground but this wasn't time to rest, he feel their gazes from all directions.

'I have to level up,' He thought, standing up with an exhusted body.

He tried to turn but his body wobbled, the adrenaline was gone and with one his leg his balance was questionable.

He frowned, 'I can't hunt ants like this. I won't be able to out run them.'

Butch wobbled between the tall grass leaves returning to where he killed his first ant.

'It should around here,' He thought looking around and faintly smiled seeing the grass stump from his fight.

'Their nest should be in that direction,' he turned to direction the ants had constantly appeared from but he didn't bother to go to that direction, with one leg missing he couldn't afford to be careless.

He pointed his back to the grass leaf next to him and shoot his web toward it.

The web sticked, he turned his gaze to the other leaved and extended the thread coming from his back as he walked around, he could see a few ants in the area but avoided them.

The thread moved between the leaves forming a perimeter and Butch could feel vibrations as the grass leaves brushed against it.

'That should be wide enough,' He thought finally connecting the end of his web to the leaf that had the start of the threat.

Again he shoot another web and walked in a circle, he repeated this several time's until his webs were visible and formed a wall with multiple gaps between it.

'That should be good enough,' he sat down guarding the web but couldn't help but glance to the tree's.

'Three' He sighed, the was nothing he do about them for now, then.

The thread's shock and Butch smiled seeing the swarm of ants trying to remove his web wall.

He moved away from the web and wobbled to a tree as fast as he could.

'Damn it' a part of him groaned, his speed had greatly diminished and brute force was no longer an option among his cards.

"Huff..huff.." He struggled to breath as he finally reached the tree.

'It seems it won't that difficult,' He bitterly smiled, moving up the tree trunk, even with one limb missing he could still walk up vertical objects.

His gaze turned to the black swarm moving between the grass leaves and inside his web perimeter, He watched as the ants destroyed his work and smiled as they finished.

Once the last web was removed the ants returned to their nest unaware of the little malicious spider sitting on a tree that had been looking for their nest, hoping to kill their queen.

Nebula asked as she slithered with an unmatched pace between the trees.''No, but we need to find a place to hide,'' Butch said.Nebula slithered to a bush and stopped beneath it's shade."What are you doing?" Butch asked looking through the gaps in the bush at the sky, not even a cloud could be seen."Sss where should sss go?" Nebula asked and for the first time since they left the blue tent Butch turned his gaze away from the sky towards her.'The main problem isn't the birds but the orcs.
