Chapter 51 Get rid of the pest now

Vivian leaned on the door, thinking of what Charles just said. In part, she knew he was telling the truth, but if there's anything she regrets, it's betraying the love of her life, Zane, for riches. She knows very well that he is handsomely rich now; if only she had been patient for a little bit longer, she would have been by his side enjoying life with him now.

She sighed and moved back to her dining room to eat. She took her spoon, but just as she was about to start eating, she lost her appetite and threw the food into the waste can. Charles just ruined her day for her by his presence.

She stomped her foot on the floor and headed to her room. She made up her mind to pay Zane a visit the next day; maybe her stars will shine and he will pity her and take her back at least, if not as a girlfriend, at least as a friend. She sighed one last time and went into the bathroom to do her business.

She came out minutes later and wore her nightgown; she laid in bed and sleep took over.
