Chapter 9 The fight

“Boss everything is ready, the time is due.”  A member of the organization said pulling him out of his thoughts. 

“Ok, let’s go.” He stood up and followed the member to the ring box. He would never let anybody take over the organization. These people were all there when they old man was alive , he must has a good reason why he didn’t give the ring to any of them. He would anything to protect this ring even if he has to protect it with his life. He sworn in his heart and went to where the fight will take place. 

“He is too arrogant. He didn’t even bother to rehearse or train. He took this thing as a child play.” The first elder said with hostile in his eyes. 

“Mmmm you are right,  he is too arrogant, let’s see how he is going to stay in this organization after he loses this fight,” hmm the second elder looked at him with a scornful eyes.

 

How can a total stranger be our leader, it will be over my dead body.” He thought to himself. 

The two parties  were prepared for the fight.  The first elder’s son, who was called Romeo, didn’t attend the meeting. He sees himself as the leader of the group, there was no need to bow to an ex-convict. 

“Ha! So you are the wretched prisoner who wants to take what doesn’t belong to him?” Romeo said with hatred in his eyes.

Zane acted like he didn’t see him, he continued to fold his sleeves without paying attention to him. 

Romeo became very angry when Zane ignored him, he swore to kill him when he wins the fight. He need to teach this fool a lesson. 

“Well continue to be arrogant, you would know how to be humble when you lose this fight.” He continue to rant behind him. 

“Really, and what if I win,” Zane stopped and suddenly asked.

“If you win, I will follow your word and do everything you say.” Romeo said with his head high. He knows his strength and he believes in himself. There is no way he would loose this fight. 

“You would have no choice if I win, I don’t care about you ; but make sure you will remember what you said.”  Zane said with no emotion in his voice and went ahead. 

“ Romeo stood for a while and clenched his fist. His eyes were red as blood. His aura was filled with an intent aura. He would crash this boy today, no he would kill him today, so he won’t have the chance to fight him over the ring, in case he changes his mind one day, he grin evilly after this thought came to his mind. 

The fight has began. All the members were all present. Some were supporting Zane , whilst others supported Romeo. The people supporting Zane were fewer than Romeo. 

Ladies and gentlemen, as you see today, this fight will determine who is going to be our leader.  The game is fair and just. The rule is to die or one must be able to make his opponent's back touch on the floor. Now let the fight began. 

“ Come forward, little boy, I am given you the chance to punch me or else you wouldn’t get the chance to do that, Romeo said mockingly.

The members all burst into laughter when they heard him. 

Zane wasn’t affected by their mockery voice. He stood there with his hands on his waste. He was waiting for Romeo to make a move, he felt too lazy to take a step. 

Come, come on, Romeo made a signal indicating Zane should come on but Zane still stood at one place. 

“Is he a fool or a coward, why isn’t he moving, if I was given such an opportunity ,I wouldn’t have wasted it. No one has been able to beat Romeo aside the former Lord.” One member said impatiently. 

“ Such a coward person how did he expect to be our leader, tsk tsk, he doesn’t know what he has gotten himself to, one member shook his head. He was feeling pity for Zane. 

“ I suspect he is being cool, maybe he is waiting for Romeo to make a fool out of himself. Have you ever seen the ring being on the wrong finger before?” One of the members analyze the situation.

“You might be right, maybe he didn’t want to do this. Any way this fight would be interesting and I wouldn’t want to miss any of those movement, the other member said excitedly. He really didn’t want to miss it.

Romeo was getting impatient, he felt stupid when Zane didn’t take a step. His anger rose and he felt humiliated. “ This bastard, it’s a privilege to give him the chance, who does he think he is? “ he thought to himself.
