The two ladies stared at each other for quite a while, their brows farrowing the deeper that they stared.
"I know that this isn't my section, Aurora but I had to act. Did you expect me to allow a thug go around the place when you were being just too lazy to act?" She inquired with a deeper stare.
Lut could already see that Aurora's hands were clenched into a clean ball, trying as hard as she could to control the anger that was gradually rising up in her..
"I was busy with the report. Do you realize how professional your work is? What if he is a real customer? Do you know how furious the director would be?
You know that no one came in here without their access card. There are motion sensors all around and you know it. If he has anything on him, he is going to be caught immediately." She replied.
Lut could tell that even though she was trying her best to act as calm as she could, the anger was still rising up in the inside of her, making her want to blow up.
But the other lady called Tina wasn't one that was going to listen to her, even for a single moment as she eventually went further to say.
"He gained access to this place. Just take a good look at him. He is looking so plain that I highly doubt that he will be able to feed himself." She replied..
For a split second, there was a sudden pause. And there was no speech from Aurora, she only started. And when she eventually spoke, the words that proceeded from her were sounding more like whispers.
"So this is what this is about? The fact that he isn't looking his best makes you feel that you will be able to do anything that you want?" She glared.
She walked towards her until they could both feel each other's breath.
"You know that this is more than that. I have been in the same position with you for so long and it's high time for you to be under my feet." She replied.
There was a strange stare in her eyes for quite a while. She knew that talking to someone like Tina wasn't going to do her any good so she rather turned around in another direction towards the guards and muttered before he turned around back towards the stranger and said.
"You know that you cannot gain access to this place right? So why don't you present the card and end this already?" She inquired with a little tint of frustration in her voice as she spoke.
Lut could feel his anger gradually creeping through the outlines of his spine.
"I already told them that I am here with Director Edward." Was the reply that he gave.
And once again, everyone in the room burst out into laughter almost in an instant.
Director Edward was one of the co-founders of the place and thus, everyone there knew him even though the running of the place was placed in the hands of someone else.
"Just take a good look at yourself. Do you even believe the words that you just spoke?" One of the guards muttered.
"Do you even feel that you have the right to be standing before someone like Director Edward?" Another one of them said..
A small crowd of people were steadily walking in and stopped to watch what was eventually happening in the place as they continued to stare at him more like a mad man.
"I know a lot of people that tell lies but this is the worst I have ever seen."
"Director Edward stopped so low to even get to talk to someone like him. That's something that I can't even imagine in my longest lifetime." Another word stripped into his ears.
Lut frowned as he stared at the beautiful lady that was standing before him with her face filled with so much frustration as he went ahead to say.
"I am not lying? You can contact him if you feel that I am."
"It looks like you don't know how much a phone bill costs." Tina replied while the other was trying to keep her professionalism.
For split moments, she was trying to believe that the young man was telling the truth but that was until they said these words.
Now she didn't even realize what she was going to do at the moment. Her eyes shifted away from him as she still wanted to do more findings on it before turning around towards the guards once again and muttering out to them in a somewhat pleading tone.
"This is my section and I don't think that it's right to take someone away. I will do more investigation and if I found out that he is lying then we would take it up from there."
Their faces were filled with scorn and it was evident that Tina had done much more than just calling them over.
"We can't do that. The safety of the company is a top priority." They replied.
"You are trying to act like you are the professional here so that you would get the credit for something that I didn't myself.
But too bad, that is not going to work out for you today. Watch as I get you sacked from the place and send your scrolling back to the harsh realities of the street in search of a job." She laughed at her before turning around towards the guards and also said.
"What are you still waiting for guys? We have proof that he is either a thug or robber."
"And you. If you try to struggle, you are only going to make things much worse for yourself." She threatened.
His hands were cuffed and they were already ready to take him away, not even giving him the chance to say anything more.
They were about to walk off from the place when steps could already be heard forging ahead towards their direction.
The scent was powerful. One that forced everyone to turn in the direction of the sound.
Two men walked in their direction. They were finely dressed in almost identical suits produced by an exclusive brand in the city.
The manner of their steps was one that ascertained their social class and also the way that they carried themselves in
The two men where we'll know to everyone that were gathered there. Their head shaking in pity for the stranger that had been handcuffed.
With Mr. Edward and Frank, the director of the underwater hotel, they were sure that he was going straight right up to jail.
Meanwhile for Tina, she had a broad smile on her face. She could not believe that this was happening. The director and the co-owner were all there to witness her act of diligence.
She quickly fixed herself, making sure that she was proper to receive the two iconic men. As they walked, the people in their paths bowed.
And so did Tina..
"What's happening here?" Director Edward was the first person to speak and Tina quickly got up with a smile on her face.
"Director Edward. As a diligent worker and a committed worker too, I noticed some strange movement but unlike some of my colleagues that decided I turn a blind eye to the fact, I knew that I could never do such.
And so, I had to call the attention of the security to do their job. You don't have to worried me sir."
She was still smiling lost in the realms of her world that she didn't even notice when a slap rang Throughout the course of her face.
"Have you gone mad?" His face was flaming red with anger as he thundered at her.

Making amends
She could cover her bills if Lutenant bluntly refused to. She glanced at him, but he was totally ignoring them, his eyes on his phone, as though their discussion didn't exist. She could feel the unspoken anger even though he hadn't said anything. “Well, we'll have to use the bus first. It will take us down to the consortium, where we'll get our cars and go down to the restaurant. Have you grabbed your things?” “Yes, I have. Everything is in this bag.” Claudia muttered, touching the bag that was slung over her shoulder. The bus approached the group of three, parking at a distance ahead of them. For the first time since Claudia had interrupted their discussion, Lut spoke. “Are we ready?” Nodding, Aurora found herself wondering if Lutenant's anger towards her was because of her persistent need to push herself forward, or if there was something else attached. * For the first time in days, Richard made it to
After hours
By the time the sun had set and the rest of the team members who had come to the outskirts had begun to leave for their various homes, Aurora was hungry and aching so badly for her bed. She smiled at Lutenant, who seemed to the brightest one of them all, how he was still smiling even after such a long day was baffling. To her, it was what made him their superior. Because she couldn't even imagine herself smiling after such a tiring day. “So, what do you say? What is your suggestion? Which buildings do we start working on first?” Aurora almost told him that she performed better as a worker when her stomach was filled and she had eaten, but decided to clamp down on her words by smiling instead before replying. “Definitely the administrative building. It looks okay, but a little painting needs to be done. We're going to be having a lot of clients come in, right? If that is the case we need to make it look very good, comfortable for ever
Bail or betrayal
Her social life back in college was good. It was just that life grew serious after a while, and she retreated into her shell. But she always tried to have fun whenever she could.“We're hoping there are no damages whatsoever to this company, right, Mr Frederickson? Tricking us has its consequences, you know.”It was one of the lawyers, a stern faced man called Terry speaking.Mr Fredrickson shook his head.“I would never do that. I support whatever Lutenant is about to do here and respect him and his company way too much. I can't do that.”“Good. If that is the case, you can sign the final document releasing the company which was once yours to its new owner.”The scribbling was done in a few minutes.Aurora watched Lut stand to his feet, a spring in his step. She could literally see the happiness on his face and his every movement.“Thank you for this, Mr Fredrickson. I cherish this opportunity to lead your company, and trust me when I say I will do my best to maintain the standard yo
The take over
Moving in the bus alongside two lawyers from Jimmy's law firm, which was the firm that his company always patronized, Lutenant James felt ready for what was the final lap of the company he had just purchased. He wasn't happy. In fact, he was elated. He had seen what he was about to do grow from an idea to reality. And without doubt, he was going to do everything in his power to make sure that the company got the status that he was aiming for.Next to him was Aurora, who was gradually sipping her iced tea.Staring at her lips briefly, he knew that trying to forget that he had kissed her during Natalie's housewarming party was never going to happen. The kiss was at the back of his mind, reoccurring, time and time again no matter how hard he tried to avoid it. It seemed inevitable.“You've looked at my tea so much that I'm beginning to worry you might want a taste.”He laughed, running a hand through his hair.“I admit that I should've brought something along with me, even water at most.
Under the radar
“Oh, I understand you well, sir. But getting in touch with this transport company will do us a lot of favors.” She paused, looking around for heads nodding in agreement, and when she saw it, she continued speaking. “The consortium is a huge institution, and I know that at one point or the other, we're going to need multiple means of transportation. This is where they come in.” It was just a contribution, but Lut felt worried. Why was it looking as though she had sabotaged the meeting? He couldn't wait to end it. Claudia always succeeded in making him so nervous no matter how hard he tried to hide it. “That's a brilliant contribution, Claudia. I like that. Oh,” Lut added, smiling and raising his hands as though it was clasped in prayer. “Forgive me for not introducing her sooner. Everyone, this is Claudia, our new intern. She's working under Aurora for the moment, so you're going to be seeing a lot of her and hearing a lot of those b
Work force workshop
Because director Edward had given her the permission to be under Aurora, Claudia had followed her to the hall where executives had their meetings. Seeing her there made Lutenant uncomfortable, but he didn't show it. Instead, he tried to focus on the team members that Aurora had chosen. They were all good workers. Ranging from Mr Green, to Doctor Gregory, Alicia, Aurora herself, and Mr Bedford. Lutenant had worked with them previously on the Deja Vu project, and could attest to how hardworking and creative they were. He needed people like them by his side if he wanted the new company he had just purchased to move forward. “Thank you all for coming here. I'll try my best to be as brief as possible because in an hour or two, we'll be on our way to the outskirts where y'all will take your first tour around the company we have just bought.” He paused, looking at each and everyone of them. He knew Claudia's eyes w
