Luts eyes parted open. He took a quick pick at his surroundings and noticed that he could not tell where he was.
He was somehow confused for quite a while. He was still looking around for quite a while, trying hard to figure out how he had gotten there in the first place.
Memories flooded through his head. Memories that he would never want to remember again and he took a larger gulp.
'Could it be that I am dead?' He asked himself in his mind.
'But this place isn't looking like heaven. Or was that also a lie?.' He thought once again, his head pacing through the outlines of the room where he found himself.
There was a machine making very annoying beeping sounds. The place looked quite expensive and extravagant too.
He tried to get up from the bed but then, a surge of pain welled up throughout his spine making him fall back to the bed.
It was at this bed that he noticed that he was at the hospital. But he wasn't even worried about himself, rather he was worried about his sister.
First, she had found out about the kidney transplant already, and apart from that, taking him to such a large facility, there was no way that they would be able to pay for it.
His heart raced faster regretting putting her in such a sister, especially for someone Like Ariel who wasn't even worth his time.
Soon enough, the noise that he had made while he was trying to get up from the bed had attracted attention.
The door soon parted open and her sister walked in. He was grateful to see that his sister was fine.
"I'm sorry sister for not being there for you and hiding everything away from you." He quickly apologized...
"You don't have to be a young master." She quickly responded with her head bowed. He didn't think too much about it until he eventually saw her bowing before him.
"What are you doing?" He inquired with knitted brows.
"I'm only paying homage to you young master." She replied and it dawned on him the way that she had been moving all this while..
Was she that angry?
He regretted every single thing now and wished that he never knew Ariel in the first place. Now his sister was treating him more like an outcast.
"I know that I have wronged your sister. I should have told you about it." But it wasn't looking like she was joking.
"You don't have to apologize to me young master." She responded by pulling backwards a little bit..
He put on the little baby look, one that was enough to melt her heart at any time and was sure she was going to give up with the acting pretty soon.
But rather, she was stiff right on the spot without a trace of emotion making his heart numb. More like a robot. The truth Washing over him like a bucket of icy water.
It wasn't a joke.
The words suddenly threw him off balance and his heart seemed to move right from its place.
"Young master!" The words resounded in his head multiple times
He pinched himself hard thinking that he was dreaming but the sight before him was so true. The racing of his heart shot up.
It was until this point that Lut noticed that something was wrong. When she first walked into the place, she was stiff.
And now she was referring to him as a young master? Multiple thoughts ran through his head for quite a while.
But soon enough, he threw the thoughts away from his head. It was a mistake and that could be the only explanation for it.
"Tell me that you are teasing me sis." He said with his heart shaking right in place.
"I won't dare young master." She said once again.
This time, it was no longer sounding like a joke since from the looks that were hovering on her face, she was looking really serious.
"I know I did something really bad but you should stop calling me that. Please." He said. His sister was the last person that he had in the world now.
"Mia, you should leave now. I want to have a few words with him." A voice came from the door and a man who was dressed in a classic suit walked right into the place.
And once again, she bowed before she went ahead to say.
"Oka master. I will do as you have said." She bowed once again before she left the hall.
For a while, Lut was confused as to what was going on around him. Could it be that he had hit his head so hard on the wall that he was beginning to see images in his head?
Using his sharp nails, he pinched himself hard until he was beginning to bleed. But it didn't matter to him. He only wanted the images that were before him to disappear.
The middle-aged man noticed what he was doing and quickly stepped on him.
"You should stop doing that Lut. It's time for you to know the truth." He said but his words weren't making him less confused than he was already.
What truth was he suddenly talking about?
Could it be that his sister had begged money from him and he had taken her in as his slave? If this was the case, he was never going to forgive himself.
He quickly reached Forward. If he had been able to fall on his knees and apologize, he would have done that quite a while ago.
"My sister has nothing to do with this. I am the one that got myself into trouble. If you need to take it out on anyone, it should be me. He added once again.
He was in so much panic that he didn't notice the smile that was hovering on the face of the man.
"I know what I am about to say is going to be more of a shock to you. But it would be better if you knew about it now, she is not your sister." The middle-aged man was finally able to muster up all the courage that he had in him and said.
At first, rumbles of shock ran through the spine of Lut and his lips were still far apart as he continued to stare at the space that was right before him.
Finally, he was able to get over the shocks and he soon burst out into laughter.
"Sis. Mia isn't my sister?" He laughed even harder.
But the man didn't seem like he was joking.
"I'm a serious lut." He said.
Lut was trying to be respectful, trying as much as he could to subdue the anger that was beginning to rise deep in the inside of him
This was the person that he had known all his life, right after the death of his mother and their Father left them. How would he say such a thing?
"I am sorry sir but you must be mistaken. We are the most related person that you would ever know." He replied.
He wanted to leave and go find his sister but then, before they could even get to do that, the door split open and Mia walked Forward.
Lut face lit up immediately after he saw her. And he wished that he could give her a warm hug but already knew that would not be possible so he decided to cut the case and go straight to his point.
"Sister Mia. Did you hear what this man is saying? He said that you are not my sister. Isn't that absurd?" He blotted out.
But his sister gave him the biggest shock of his life when he finally went ahead to say.
"He is telling the truth and you should listen to him. I am not your sister and I am only a maid. He is your father." She announced, snapping Lut deep into the world of his shocks.

Under the radar
“Oh, I understand you well, sir. But getting in touch with this transport company will do us a lot of favors.” She paused, looking around for heads nodding in agreement, and when she saw it, she continued speaking. “The consortium is a huge institution, and I know that at one point or the other, we're going to need multiple means of transportation. This is where they come in.” It was just a contribution, but Lut felt worried. Why was it looking as though she had sabotaged the meeting? He couldn't wait to end it. Claudia always succeeded in making him so nervous no matter how hard he tried to hide it. “That's a brilliant contribution, Claudia. I like that. Oh,” Lut added, smiling and raising his hands as though it was clasped in prayer. “Forgive me for not introducing her sooner. Everyone, this is Claudia, our new intern. She's working under Aurora for the moment, so you're going to be seeing a lot of her and hearing a lot of those b
Work force workshop
Because director Edward had given her the permission to be under Aurora, Claudia had followed her to the hall where executives had their meetings. Seeing her there made Lutenant uncomfortable, but he didn't show it. Instead, he tried to focus on the team members that Aurora had chosen. They were all good workers. Ranging from Mr Green, to Doctor Gregory, Alicia, Aurora herself, and Mr Bedford. Lutenant had worked with them previously on the Deja Vu project, and could attest to how hardworking and creative they were. He needed people like them by his side if he wanted the new company he had just purchased to move forward. “Thank you all for coming here. I'll try my best to be as brief as possible because in an hour or two, we'll be on our way to the outskirts where y'all will take your first tour around the company we have just bought.” He paused, looking at each and everyone of them. He knew Claudia's eyes w
Fractured bliss
“Well, Darren usually handles all this kind of stuff, you know. But come with me, if he sent you my way, then it's for a reason.”“Oh, I'd surely love to work with you, miss Aurora. I need your guidance and that helping hand.”Despite the fact that she was pleased to hear herself being described in that manner, she decided not to show it. She smiled shyly, and at that moment, the elevator stopped.“Here we are. I'm sure you know that I am Mr Lutenant's personal assistant, and that I handle most of his work for him, especially when he's busy. So for the moment, you're going to just watch me, and take notes.”She opened the door to the first office before Lutenant's own, which served as her office. It actually looked like a hallway or a passage before Lutenant's office, but she didn't mind. To Aurora, the size of an office or the extra space would never determine her output. She loved her job, and wanted nothing more than to prove that she could always be counted upon when needed.“Well,

“Oh, it's fine. I wouldn't have done most of it without Aurora, by the way. You're her boss, right? I saw you guys dancing earlier on. She's a keeper, you know? Quite harsh and strict, but she knows what she wants. Ain't that right, boys?”Lut smiled, even though he was slightly tirritated. He knew it was a men's thing to talk about women, but wasn't he about to get married? Some things were best left unsaid. The two men, who were taller versions of Carl to him, grinned, and shook his hand.Just then, Natalie and Aurora approached the circle, smiling.“Our best guests are about to leave, babe.”“Oh, yes,” Carl said with a huge smile. “Lutenant here was just telling me.”“I owe you a gift, Natalie.” Lut said as the group made their way to the door to see him and Aurora off.“Oh, thank you. I'll be expecting it. Don't miss too much, Rora. I know you won't see food like mine in a long while, which means you can start coming down here to eat if you miss my cooking so much.”The group bur

“Thank you everyone for coming once again. You've made something as common as a housewarming party a memorable one for me. I won't forget this, ever.”Aurora watched the entire mini speech with a special kind of warmth in her heart. She had never seen Natalie so happy.“One, two, three!”The crowd counted with the couple as the knife came down. There was scattered clapping, and then it was then readjusted into a beautiful round of applause.Grabbing a flute from an attendant who was walking by, Carl raised the flute.“Everyone, grab a glass please.”“Aurora? Can you help us make a toast?”Aurora had not seen that coming. Naturally shy, she raised an eyebrow and felt her skin burn under the gaze of the entirety of everyone who was in the room. However, she made her way to the front of the crowd, then raised her flute.“To a life of happiness, endless celebrations and every good thing in the world. To Natalie and Carl!”“To Natalie and Carl!”There were clinks as flute brushed flute. Sh

The roar was deafening. Two pops followed, and in a minute, she was drenched with alcohol. Aurora smiled in satisfaction, enjoying the shock and surprise on her best friend's face.Carl slipped out of the crowd in a moment, holding a card that said boldly, “Welcome to our home, Natalie. I will always love you.”Natalie burst into tears on seeing the card, and immediately fell into his arms. The crowd burst into a series of cooing, and Aurora stole a flute of champagne from an attendant’s tray, chugging it down and satisfying her thirst.“When…when did you do all of this, Carl? How did you plan this?” She looked at the crowd and the decorations, her hand scratching the back of her neck in confusion.“I wouldn't have done it without the help of your best friend here, Aurora. She helped me. We did it together. You have a wonderful friend, babe. She's a keeper.”“You knew?” Natalie asked her, as she struggled to wipe the tears from her eyes.“Of course I did.
