"What are you talking about?" Liuet's eyes farrowed, the spike running faster through his vines.
Ariel drew a step closer towards him and stared at him in the eyes. "You think that I don't know?"
"I was just a stepping stone for you to become rich by selling your kidney. The doctor told me everything about it."
Lut was engrossed in his confusion trying to make sense of what she was saying while the pain increased even more.
How Richard here provided the money to buy over your kidney and you readily agreed to that." She frowned.
Luiet could not believe his hearings. After all the pain that he had to go through, his efforts were seen as a waste.
"Lair, how dare you come up with such a lie." Luiet shot up at Richard but the pain soon pulled him back.
He was finding it difficult that someone would come up with such a lie to separate him from his girlfriend.
And to think that he looked so Innocent pissed him more. Wishing that he could tear off that face of his.
"Stop being so dramatic, already stink and have some sort of delicacy for once in your life." Ariel glared.
"With or without this, I would have broken up with you already." She replied and walked over to Richard, giving him a passionate kiss on the lips.
There was pain in his eyes that the one that he loved most was not going to believe her rather than another person
"Are you even going to believe a stranger over me? After all the years that we have known each other?" He blotted out.
"Strangers?" Richard scoffed.
"I knew her right from day one. Three years ago, your delusion lost her virginity to me, so you see, we are only coming out to make our relationship open." Richard replied with a smirk.
"If we were so blinded that you didn't even realize who the true stranger was. You!" He burst out into laughter.
Every part of Lut's being was torn into shreds. Everything that he had believed was all lies. He was still lost in his stare, unable to speak.
For a while, Luiet was dumbstruck, unable to speak. He turned over to Ariel, the grief too heavy for him to bear.
'No... It could not be true... That the world that he had always believed and held onto was a lie.'
"Tell me it's not true Ariel.." He yelled not caring about the pain that he felt anymore but still trying to hold it back as much as he could.
Ariel's words were cold and she chuckled. "It was funny how you kept fooling yourself around me, thinking that we had a future together."
"The truth has always been before you but you were just way too blinded. The truth is, we never had a relationship. With your basket shoes and three-quarter shorts that never turn old. Jeez!" She emphasized and everyone there burst out into laughter at his detriment.
Her words were like a cold stab through his chest. His grief had now grown to the extent that he could no longer express it.
"Did you ever love me?"
"I'm carrying someone's child in me. I don't have time to spare for scumbags." She replied.
Luiet's pains increased as he stared at Richard with a smirk on his face. All these while, everyone had taken him for a coward.
He drew off from the spot and punched Richard in the face as he slammed back to the floor gritting his teeth.
A sorrowful smile twinkled on his lips, "I am sure that you know what's that for." He chuckled.
Everyone was stunned.
"Has he gone mad?"
"Look, Richard is even bleeding."
"Wow! This is one hell of a problem! We have to get out of this place as soon as possible."
"Has he gone mad? I am sure that he has a death wish that is certainly going to be fulfilled today."
OP
An air of commotion broke up through the crowd and some were already making their way out of the scene, knowing what exactly was going to happen next.
Richard blew up with fury, his face glowing hot red as he felt his mouth with his hands and could feel the warm sensation of his blood.
"You fool. I am going to make sure that you pay for this and I will send you to hell." He growled at Lut who only chuckled, not frightened even for a single moment.
He scoffed.
"Do your worst." He growled back angrily stamping on Richard's Nerves multiple times
'What exactly was the essence of living now?
"Whether by Richard or not, I am going to die anyway."
Richard brought out his cell phone and soon, a group of three armed gangs stormed the place, and the students pulled backward.
Richard's father was the Invincible king of the underworld and no one would dare to get on his nerves.
They all shook their heads out of pity. Everyone knew that he was as good as dead already...
"That's the punk that dared to touch me." Richard pointed out the Luiet...
The brutal men came to him with Richard in front as he smirked at Luiet for the very first time.
"Good luck on your journey to hell, and say hello to the devil for me." He added.
The brutes were about to strengthen him with a baton when a hand with a familiar aura crawled around him.
Emotions washed up through Liuet's face.
Arizona had run to search for his brother after she read the letter hidden in his backpack. She was broken, searching for her brother everywhere.
He has given up his life for another only for her to find this video trending in the hospital.
"How could you?" Arizona yelled at Ariel who paid deaf ears to her cries, and her heart stood as cold as a rock.
"After he gave up his life to save yours, this is really what you decide to pay him with." She yelled.
Ariel's brow twitched.
"Just another brainhole loser. I wonder how such people still exist." She spat on the floor, throwing away all the relationships that they had formed with each other through the years.
Arizona could not believe that it was Ariel who just shot those words out of her mouth.
If she hadn't been present and someone had told her, she would have not hesitated to give the person a firm slap across the face.
"Get off the way already a loser," Richard growled at her while Luiet was sweating with pain.
"I am not going to allow you to touch my brother. If you want to do that, then you have to get past me first." She replied.
"Awww, how cute." Richard sounded romantic and everyone burst out into laughter.
"Guess someone has chosen to see the devil first." He muttered in a really cute manner...
"I don't need to see the devil when I have seen you already." She growled at him with so much confidence in her voice.
The words angered Richard. He grabbed her away from Luiet slapping her severally on the face while she bled.
With the last stroke of strength that he had in him, Lieut yelled. "Noo..." As her sister collapsed to the floor a strand of tear escaped from his eyes.
He shot off from the floor and jerked towards Richard. Then a baton landed on a sensitive part of his head, sending him off miles away.
Lieut's eyes paired right with that of his sister's. He could feel Grim Reaper casting his shadows over him as he locked eyes with Arizona.
"If only second chances existed..."
"But was it going to make any difference?" He blinked twice and passed out.

Under the radar
“Oh, I understand you well, sir. But getting in touch with this transport company will do us a lot of favors.” She paused, looking around for heads nodding in agreement, and when she saw it, she continued speaking. “The consortium is a huge institution, and I know that at one point or the other, we're going to need multiple means of transportation. This is where they come in.” It was just a contribution, but Lut felt worried. Why was it looking as though she had sabotaged the meeting? He couldn't wait to end it. Claudia always succeeded in making him so nervous no matter how hard he tried to hide it. “That's a brilliant contribution, Claudia. I like that. Oh,” Lut added, smiling and raising his hands as though it was clasped in prayer. “Forgive me for not introducing her sooner. Everyone, this is Claudia, our new intern. She's working under Aurora for the moment, so you're going to be seeing a lot of her and hearing a lot of those b
Work force workshop
Because director Edward had given her the permission to be under Aurora, Claudia had followed her to the hall where executives had their meetings. Seeing her there made Lutenant uncomfortable, but he didn't show it. Instead, he tried to focus on the team members that Aurora had chosen. They were all good workers. Ranging from Mr Green, to Doctor Gregory, Alicia, Aurora herself, and Mr Bedford. Lutenant had worked with them previously on the Deja Vu project, and could attest to how hardworking and creative they were. He needed people like them by his side if he wanted the new company he had just purchased to move forward. “Thank you all for coming here. I'll try my best to be as brief as possible because in an hour or two, we'll be on our way to the outskirts where y'all will take your first tour around the company we have just bought.” He paused, looking at each and everyone of them. He knew Claudia's eyes w
Fractured bliss
“Well, Darren usually handles all this kind of stuff, you know. But come with me, if he sent you my way, then it's for a reason.”“Oh, I'd surely love to work with you, miss Aurora. I need your guidance and that helping hand.”Despite the fact that she was pleased to hear herself being described in that manner, she decided not to show it. She smiled shyly, and at that moment, the elevator stopped.“Here we are. I'm sure you know that I am Mr Lutenant's personal assistant, and that I handle most of his work for him, especially when he's busy. So for the moment, you're going to just watch me, and take notes.”She opened the door to the first office before Lutenant's own, which served as her office. It actually looked like a hallway or a passage before Lutenant's office, but she didn't mind. To Aurora, the size of an office or the extra space would never determine her output. She loved her job, and wanted nothing more than to prove that she could always be counted upon when needed.“Well,

“Oh, it's fine. I wouldn't have done most of it without Aurora, by the way. You're her boss, right? I saw you guys dancing earlier on. She's a keeper, you know? Quite harsh and strict, but she knows what she wants. Ain't that right, boys?”Lut smiled, even though he was slightly tirritated. He knew it was a men's thing to talk about women, but wasn't he about to get married? Some things were best left unsaid. The two men, who were taller versions of Carl to him, grinned, and shook his hand.Just then, Natalie and Aurora approached the circle, smiling.“Our best guests are about to leave, babe.”“Oh, yes,” Carl said with a huge smile. “Lutenant here was just telling me.”“I owe you a gift, Natalie.” Lut said as the group made their way to the door to see him and Aurora off.“Oh, thank you. I'll be expecting it. Don't miss too much, Rora. I know you won't see food like mine in a long while, which means you can start coming down here to eat if you miss my cooking so much.”The group bur
A breath away
“Thank you everyone for coming once again. You've made something as common as a housewarming party a memorable one for me. I won't forget this, ever.”Aurora watched the entire mini speech with a special kind of warmth in her heart. She had never seen Natalie so happy.“One, two, three!”The crowd counted with the couple as the knife came down. There was scattered clapping, and then it was then readjusted into a beautiful round of applause.Grabbing a flute from an attendant who was walking by, Carl raised the flute.“Everyone, grab a glass please.”“Aurora? Can you help us make a toast?”Aurora had not seen that coming. Naturally shy, she raised an eyebrow and felt her skin burn under the gaze of the entirety of everyone who was in the room. However, she made her way to the front of the crowd, then raised her flute.“To a life of happiness, endless celebrations and every good thing in the world. To Natalie and Carl!”“To Natalie and Carl!”There were clinks as flute brushed flute. Sh
House warming bliss
The roar was deafening. Two pops followed, and in a minute, she was drenched with alcohol. Aurora smiled in satisfaction, enjoying the shock and surprise on her best friend's face.Carl slipped out of the crowd in a moment, holding a card that said boldly, “Welcome to our home, Natalie. I will always love you.”Natalie burst into tears on seeing the card, and immediately fell into his arms. The crowd burst into a series of cooing, and Aurora stole a flute of champagne from an attendant’s tray, chugging it down and satisfying her thirst.“When…when did you do all of this, Carl? How did you plan this?” She looked at the crowd and the decorations, her hand scratching the back of her neck in confusion.“I wouldn't have done it without the help of your best friend here, Aurora. She helped me. We did it together. You have a wonderful friend, babe. She's a keeper.”“You knew?” Natalie asked her, as she struggled to wipe the tears from her eyes.“Of course I did. Can you imagine Carl doing al
The ultimate welcome
“Whatever. I'm dirty and sweaty already. How about I just sit in the dining room and you serve me, alright? I'll take my bath later.” Natalie grinned, leaving her in the sitting room. “You know, sometimes I wonder what you would've done without me. Just look at you, tired as hell, coming home to a beautiful meal you would've paid for at a restaurant. You owe me big time.” Aurora groaned audibly. “Can you just cut the boasting part and forward to the part where I eat and say thanks? You can boast after that, okay?” Natalie's laughter was loud. Aurora dropped her hand bag in the sitting room, snatching her phone. In the dining room, she texted Carl immediately, urging him to call Natalie in a few minutes. She nearly let the phone fall from her hands when she saw her best friend enter with a tray of the food. It was one of her favourites. Lamb chops, biscuits and an apple pie next to it. There was a salad w
The squad
Boss and personal assistant left the office building, walking stride by stride. Aurora, her phone in her hand, was trying to reach Carl. He was the one who had done the arrangements, and she would've helped out if she didn't have to go down to the Fredrickson's company and help Lutenant get the contract he was gushing over so much. She waited next to her old model Benz, waiting for Carl to pick up. When he didn't answer after the first ring, she turned to Lut, who was waiting for her and shrugged. “He hasn't picked?” “Yes. Makes me wonder what is wrong with him. Who makes plans and doesn't keep to his own part of the deal? If he knows how tired I am, he'll pick up.” Lut smiled. “Call him again.” His voice was calm, the exact opposite of what hers was. Nodding, she did just as he had requested. And to her shock, Carl picked up on the first ring. “Aurora!” He called her name as if he was out of breath.
Sealing the deal
The executive meeting hadn't gone well, or maybe someone had brought an offer larger than the amount he had proposed. He didn't know which one it was yet. “The executive meeting didn't end too well. The highest bidder plays a huge role, Lut. I'm afraid we chose someone else.” Lutenant smiled. He looked out of the window, forgetting what he had planned to say for an instant if things didn't go his way. “Lut? Are you still there?” “Yes sir. It's alright, Mr Fredrickson. I understand you perfectly. There are other companies in the industry. We'll have to look into it.” He glanced at his father, who raised an eyebrow, still smiling despite the fact that he had heard his son's answer and knew that the deal was lost. “Come on, Lut, I'm kidding! Did you even believe that I'll sell to someone else? You've been the highest bidder so far. The rest have all come in under hundred. And even if you weren't, I would've still sold to you.
