Chapter 8

"Well I don't know a lot about this but I feel this commoner should be treated with a lot of caution. The look of seriousness I saw in Chrollos eyes shows the extent of this issue at hand" she replied to King Gilliard who just left the balcony to return back to his mattress to cuddle his wife.

        " I am so glad I made the choice of marrying such a smart woman" He kissed her forehead as they both laid down on the King size mattress.          "Chrollo, I now understand why you are trying to find out about Regis's ability but what if he doesn't live up to this much that you're expecting from him" Luchigan asked Chrollo as they were both walking through the hallway that led out of the King's chambers.  

    "That really shouldn't be your concern now, you should be focused on the knighthood ceremony that's quick approaching. I know you are tired of Gertrude babysitting you and the only way you can stop it is if and only if you upgrade from a level B knight to a level A knight. Bran is already a golden knight and I'm currently a level A knight but if I could get through my adversary during the knighthood ceremony then I would be a golden knight just like Bran. You have to try and control your crest instead of allowing it to control you Luchi. When it comes to the commoner Regis, there's nothing to worry about him because I'm sensing something special from that boy." Chrollo said to Luchigan as he placed his hands on the shoulders of his younger brother who was about the same height as him.  

    "When is this knighthood ceremony?" He asked Chrollo." You are of royal blood Luchi, you should know things like this and you need to start taking them serious. Well it's in a week time so that's more than enough time for both of us to prepare. I have a better idea, why don't we train together together tomorrow?"  

   "Well now I remember, I am totally not chanced tomorrow so we could train all day. But first when are we breaking the news to the little peasant about the decision that father made?" Luchigan asked Chrollo as they both climbed their horses and rode away from the palace.

     "As you can see Luchi, this is the road to the prison that we are riding on. We are going straight to him now to tell him to prepare because the battle between him and the fire cyclops is in a week time." They both continued riding their horses straight to the prison to go break the news to Regis.       They finally got to the prison and they both got off their horses as they allowed them to feed on the fresh grass that was being blown by the smooth wind. The knights that was in charge of the guarding the prison quickly knelt down and bowed down to the Princes of King Gilliard of Cistra Kingdom.

      The knighthood ceremony occurs anally in the kingdom of Cistra and it hosted by the Kings of the four kingdoms that makes up Ventra. Ventra was made up of four Kingdoms which are Cistra, Zitra, Mentra and Phitra. It is a ceremony where new Knights were recruited and the previous knights were promoted to the next level if they happen to pass the test that awaits them. Cistra was the strongest of the four kingdoms and they always produce the best of Knights all to the pleasure of the Great King Gilliard.

      In the Knighthood ceremony, Knights from a kingdom battles with other knights from the other kingdom and whosoever emerges the winner gets a level up in the knighthood hierarchy. Bran is the only seed of the king that wouldn't be participating in the tournament because he is at the highest level of knighthood which is the golden knight.       Only few knights attain that level just like Gertrude the guardian of Luchigan and some other Elite knights of the kingdom of Cistra. Then we have the level A knights which Chrollo the second son of King Gilliard was under. If he could win the battle in the knighthood ceremony then he would be promoted to the golden knights. Luchigan was still a level B knights and he haven't gotten past that level for over three years now because he wasn't fully able to control his crest and that always jeopardize his knighthood ceremony battles. The rules of the ceremony states that anyone that is possesed by his crest during battle is not allowed to move on to the next level of knighthood eve if they win their battles.  

      The other rankings of knights that was left was the level c, level D and the amateur. The newbies gets recruited to the amateur rank and they spend about four years in each of the levels of knighthood before they can participate in the knighthood ceremony to get a level up. Chrollo and Luchigan finally got inside they prison and they found Regis whistling with his two hands placed behind his head and both his legs crossed against each other as they were resting on the wall and he was lying down on the floor.

      " I see you brought your sister along, Prince Chrollo " Regis Chuckled.  

   Chrollo couldn't hold that in either because it was really a good joke and he burst into laughter. Luchigan had this striking resemblance of a lady because of his baby smooth face and his long blonde curls.

      "Why don't I deep my sword into your mouth so we could see how funny that would be huh" Luchi said as he was about pulling out his sword.       Chrollo had to push the sword back in " try to control your temper Luchi" Chrollo said to him. "Luchi??? What in the heavens is that?" Regis burst into laughter again. " I will kill you before the fire cyclops kills you, you little piece of horse shit" Luchigan replied as he was getting angry and annoyed by any word that was ultered from the mouth of Regis.
