Alvin looked at himself in the mirror of the VIP bathroom in the private lounge where the manager took him to and was immediately surprised. After taking a bath and changing into the clothes which the manager had brought for him, he looked like a different person. His deep russet colored eyes matched his burgundy colored suit to create a powerful combination that awed even himself.

He strapped the grand Seiko brand watch on his wrist, and completed his exotic look. Indeed, the clothes make the man. The Alvin before him was one he had never seen before, his attire suited him perfectly, making him look like a billionaire CEO. And this was in a situation where he warned the manager to be conservative with money. Now imagine if he bought really expensive items worth millions, like Rolex Daytona. How would he look then? Indeed poverty is a bastard. No wonder everyone treats a broke man like trash.

He sighed and loosened one more button on his shirt, showing a clear view of his sexy Adam's apple, alongside a part of his chest which made him look incredibly sexy.

“Alvin, being wealthy really suits you. You should work even harder from now on.” He whispered, and sighed.

“Of course. Thank goodness you know. A handsome man who is not just wealthy but also powerful and influential. That's what I will call a full package. Whenever you finally reveal your new self, I will be eager to see the look of regret on your ex-wife's face. But you know what? You deserved that divorce. Women are naturally inclined towards having the finer things of life without working hard, that's why most of them prefer leaning on well to do men. But your previous self was unambitious, content with working in a bar shop and doing deliveries. Your previous self was non confrontational, which is not a nice trait for men. When the old man arranged a position for you and the rest of the family refused, why did you listen to Sonya’s nagging and miss the position or a high ranked executive? Alright, you don't have the strength for trouble and you don't want to drag what does not belong to you. Fine. But why didn't you try other companies? With your summa cum laude and masters degree, many companies would be scrambling to hire you. So, why did you give up so soon?”

The system’s voice seemed like it was scolding Alvin, making him immediately take a defensive stance.

“That's because…” He quickly began. But before he could come up with a rebuttal, the system cut him off again.

“What? It was because she blacklisted you. Is that what you want to say? Are you an idiot? It was because you were a coward. And you were afraid of causing problems in the family, letting everyone stomp over you. You disappointed that poor old man who had so much hope in you. You disappointed him way too much. How many groups is the Carter corporation big enough to control? In this city, there's at least seven corporations who don't bother to give face to Carters because they're way too big, bigger than the Carters. People like the KS group, do they need to pay attention to Carters? The young master of KS fired quite a few executives numerous times, and each time, he personally held a fair interview to personally select their replacements. As talented as you are, why didn't you go? What about the rest of the groups? You could have insisted on not handing over your salary, buy a decent suit, iron it and consistently go for interviews. With your intelligence, you would get hired. But no, you obediently fit into the box that a mere mortal shoved you into, living like a mongrel despite the fact that you're destined for greatness.”

“System, stop.” Alvin muttered, not wanting to listen to the system's criticisms anymore.

“The truth is always painful but you need to hear it anyway. You almost ruined your life because of your non-confrontational lifestyle. Probably because you're used to being poor and lowering your head before others. But right now, all that has to change. You are the face of the system, you can't continue lowering your head like a dog. You're a dragon now. Okay, I know you want to hide behind ‘my dream is to be a pop star nonsense’ to make excuses. But I'm in your mind now, I understand you more than you understand yourself. You could have managed the corporate job while earning money to chase your dreams. But you actually accepted the cruel fate that those bastards pushed you into, even though you were destined for greatness. Assuming the system was not aligned to your fate, you would have died. No woman wants an easily defeated man. You had that divorce coming, master.”

At this point, Alvin was practically boiling with anger. The system had stimulated him to boiling point.

“Master? Is that the way to talk to your master?” Alvin asked coldly.

“It's useless being angry. The only thing they did wrong is that they're innately wicked, greedy and selfish, especially your wife. She totally let down the meaning of the word ‘wife’ by not leaving you a way out. Stealing your music to please her lover while cheating, tricking you out of your hard earned money in the name of paying producers, even though she has more than you do. And most importantly, resorting to murder after wronging you, and not showing any sign of repentance, condemned them. This action validates your revenge, not that she wanted a divorce. But it's actually great. You're now the master of the system, women of her class are not qualified to stand beside you. Assuming she was faithful, ditching her would be impossible. Everything works together to bring you to your destiny. Or rather to the point of duty. It won't be an easy road.”

“Just shut up already.” Alvin snapped and left the bathroom, making his way back to the longue where he was meant to wait for Leah to finish shopping.

Murong Wuque’s purple-blue eyes went wide with panic, his heart beating a mile a minute. Alvin was quickly fading away. His hands trembled uncontrollably as he checked Alvin's pulse once again. It was getting weaker and weaker, his life force fading. Murong Wuque summoned a burst of divine power and immediately ran the warm energy all over his body. However, the entire thing disappeared in mere seconds with nothing to show for it. His lips pursed together. That much divine power should at least stabilise Alvin’s vitals and keep his life force from draining too fast. But, it seemed to have had no effect whatsoever. No, it was deeper than that. Something appeared to have been sucking everything away. His gaze narrowed, suspicion and dread visible in them. He scooped the naked Alvin out of the herbal bath and moved to the dressing room. In the middle of the dressing room was a plush table whose top was upholstered. The soft fabric made it comfortable to lie down on. He carefully

Alvin wasn't responding. Murong Wuque's heart began to pound erratically, each frantic beat crashing against his ribs until it sounded less like a heartbeat and more like a bass drum echoing through his chest.Fear swept through him, draining every lingering ounce of pleasure he'd felt moments ago, escaping faster than hot air from a deflated balloon.Confusion flickered across his face. If Alvin was losing it, if he was slipping away, why hadn't the soul bond warned him?He was lying right on top of him. How had he not noticed? He tried to jump out of the bed, but a sharp pain deep in the middle of his butt stopped him short. His body seized as he gritted his teeth, squeezing his eyes shut for the briefest moment. He didn't have time for this. Alvin couldn't afford even a heartbeat's delay.Murong Wuque practically zoomed into the bathroom and hurriedly ran a hot bath. Then he rushed back to the room. Black lines had begun creeping from Alvin's belly, climbing steadily up to his ches

Alvin leaned down, placing little kisses along his spine. “Murong Wuque, I love you so much. I can't live without you.” He whispered against his skin, breathless. Murong Wuque almost laughed from the irony. He was tearing him apart with the worst kind of pain. Yet, he loves him? Alvin pulled out and flipped him on his back. With a few pushes, he adjusted his position and completely sheathed himself in the still wet and warm tight hole. Murong Wuque was panting, face red, sweat covering every inch of his body. Sunlight was already streaming into the room, falling against Murong Wuque’s face through the tiny slit in the improperly closed blinds. The light and the flush of his face made him look even more like the tragic beauty. Above him, he felt Alvin's mouth kissing all over his chest and shoulder. Suddenly, Alvin’s teeth sank into his neck. This time, he didn't scream from the pain. He only inhaled sharply, feeling the sharp teeth draw blood. Like a vampire, Alvin be

DUBCON. Reader discretion advised. Alvin didn't wait anymore, couldn't wait. He moved between Murong Wuque's thighs and took a long sniff of his dragon rod. A huge smile crossed Alvin's face and he placed little kisses down the monstrous length. He shut his eyes with ecstasy, tongue licking all over the engorged balls. “Mine. All mine.” He muttered. Murong Wuque felt his tongue trail up his length from the root, till he came to the tip. His breath caught and Alvin took the tip into mouth, his tongue running over the slit. “Alvin stop now.” Murong Wuque’s pitch was husky, and he tried to nudge him away using his knees. Alvin pretended not to hear, forcing Murong Wuque's knees down. His head continued to bob up and down, engaging every trick in his encyclopedia of pleasuring his Iceman. He moaned against Wuque, and his palm roved against Wuque's abs, teasing him. Alvin leaned up. Even after thirty minutes, Murong Wuque wasn't climaxing. Alvin pulled away and lo

WARNING: DUBCON. Kindly skip this chapter if you can't stomach forced sex. Alvin was like a man possessed. His hand left Murong Wuque’s pants to hold his head in place, ravaging him with all the hunger and anger he had kept repressed for weeks. Murong Wuque’s eyes reddened, tears gathering in them. He never thought in his wildest dream that he would one day be a victim. Sure, he can use magic to fling Alvin off. But Alvin was visibly sick. Using extreme force against him will leave him mortally wounded, or worse, dead. Despite everything, he couldn't bring himself to truly harm Alvin. He could only try to beg and persuade him to stop. He tightened his grip on his neck and tried to push him again. Murong Wuque's fingers brushed against Alvin's pulse. His heart stuttered and nearly went still. Something resembling panic flashed in his eyes. Alvin was poisoned. And the herbs he used to neutralize it was affecting his brain, leaving him unable to restrain his true thoughts and desir

His first instinct was to wrap his arms around the suffocating weight. No it wasn't suffocating. It was cold, and achingly familiar fitting perfectly into his arms like he had always belonged there. The tightness in Murong Wuque’s chest worsened exponentially. His mind raced. ‘Did he lose consciousness? Did the blood loss and soaking too long in water make him derilious?’“An ka…” The words froze in his throat. Alvin was no longer that person to him. But old habits died hard. “Alvin, what's wrong with you?”There was no answer. The only indicator the person was alive was the steady rise and fall of his breath against Murong Wuque’s chest. Murong Wuque instinctively breathed in the familiar scent. His body trembled with the effort of holding back. All he wanted was to bury his head in the nook of Alvin's neck and inhale. Then spank him for saying such hurtful words to him. Alvin wasn't moving. Nor did he answer. Murong Wuque clenched the bedsheets tightly, his teeth grounding aga
