The blacklist.
While they were all confused Brian smiled
with his legs crossed, he took out his and directly called Bill Collins the corporation's president.
His tone was full of arrogance as he ordered Bill to meet him in the lobby downstairs within three minutes.
Brian's action made manager Henry Powell and the two front desk staff freeze in shock they looked at one another dumbfoundedly.
They looked at Brain and how he was dressed, and marveled at his audacity.
Then one of the women began to snicker. Soon the three of them started laughing at Brian.
Henry was overjoyed at the foolishness of the young man and he couldn't control his laughter.
"You want to sell the boss a hundred properties?" I'll tell you what if you successfully sell the boss a hundred properties as you said, I'll kneel and lick your shoes in front of everyone".
Brain's eyes widened in shock seeing how he was being underrated by everyone.
"Lick my shoe? That's extreme"
Brian took a look at how torn and shabby his shoe looked. "Well it's worth it, you should lick it just fine," he smiled.
Suddenly a team of security guards rushed in, Henry was in no mood to waste any more words on Brian. He impatiently waved his hands to the security. " Take him away," he said.
"Not you again"! One of the security cried as he recognized Brian. "You may have gotten away from us last time but you won't escape so easily this time"
The security team advanced at Brian as they pulled out their nightsticks to give him a beating, Brian stood as he watched them step closer with a somber expression on his face.
One of the security guards took a swing at him, but Brian dodged it immediately causing the nightstick to swing at him to be smashed into a glass-topped coffee table. The glass shattered.
"All of you stop right now!" shouted a stern voice from nearby.
The security guard froze as did everyone else.
"Mr Collins! " cried Henry in surprise. "What are you doing here?" Can I help you with anything?".
All the eyes turned to the front desk where Bill was standing, watching the unprofessional scene unfolding before him with disdain.
"How can this be happening here" Mr Henry "How could you allow this?"
Henry turned to give Brian a stern look as he asked, "Why are you still standing there you idiot, get lost already or do you need some beatings?"
Bill's eyes widened in shock when his eyes finally caught Brian he couldn't believe Henry was actually referring to Brian.
He stared at Brian intensively.
" It's him, it's definitely him, I can't be mistaken," he said to himself.
As soon as he was sure it was Brian, he said "Get lost?" did I just hear you say get lost?". Bill snapped.
"You are the ones who should get lost, you morons!! He looked around at Henry and the others, his expression livid.
"You all are just a bunch of idiots, do you know who he–he– is?" Henry was dumbstruck seeing how Mr Collins was stammering.
Just when Bill was about to disclose his identity Brian jumped in to interrupt. He didn't want too many people to know about his identity just yet.
'Mr Collins I presume? I hope that you're available tomorrow morning at nine o'clock to personally come to the sales department at the Clair group to purchase a hundred properties".
Henry starred in shock. Had Brian asked his boss to purchase so many properties? He thought to himself.
He found himself even more startled a few moments later when Mr. Wilson spoke.
"No problem Mr Maxwell I'll make sure to be there on time"
The onlookers gasped and murmured to one another.
Brian turned his gaze to the stunned manager, ignoring those murmuring.
"Well, now Mr Henry I'm an honorable man I don't think there's any need for you to kneel down and lick my shoes".
"Your mouth is too dirty and smelly anyway, I don't need you to congest my shoe with your stinking mouth."
He glanced at his watch and saw that it was almost six. He mumbled something incoherent about cooking dinner and hurried out.
Bill watched in consternation as the young man left.
Was he actually saying something about having to cook dinner? He mused.
Why would someone of his power need to go home and cook something? He started to call out to the young man questioningly but saw that he had already sped away.
"Mr Collins, are you sure about all these?" A voice came from behind him.
"That man Brian I'm just not trustworthy maybe it's just a mistake".
Collins turned his cold eyes on Henry and said " I think you are the one who has made a mistake".
"Just head to the accounting and collect your last paycheck as you will not be coming back tomorrow that's all"
After saying that Collins left without looking back.
Henry's world shattered as the president of the company uttered those dreaded words. The weight of dismissal pressed on his chest, "he just fired me" Henry thought in a sulking state, with his eyes fixed on the president as he walked away from him. His face paled as he looked around at the two women at the desk.
They also stared back at him while one one them quickly tore down the black list before they fired too.
The remaining fear in their heart had yet to disappear, both women were thinking the same thing.
"Who exactly is that guy?" one of them said.
"Brian?" the other responded.
"I think we shouldn't talk too much about him before the unknown happens to us," she added, looking at Henry still in shock.
They quickly rushed back to their duty post.

The moment Brian entered his wife's family had already arrived, his father-in-law and Samantha's younger brother had been on vacation for a while.
He knew he was in trouble the moment he saw them since they were already on his case.
Do you see what time is? Are you deliberately making your family starve? Asked Thomas Samantha's younger brother and Brian's brother-in-law.
Brenda, Samantha's mother, who was busy in the kitchen, stuck her head out and said.
"You're just too worthless, do you think you're too good to cook for us anymore? Do you think you're too good for this family? Coldly to Brian.
"Mom, I went out to do something for work". Brian responded.
"You what?"Samantha cried walking in through the door behind him. It seemed like she had been crying.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
"What!" she snapped and before Brian could say anything she stormed off to the bedroom and slammed the door.
Brian quickly took over from Brenda and finished cooking the meal before they said any further. Then he decided to check on his wife to see what was going on.
He knocked and pushed the door open, however, he found out that Samantha had her head down as she was going through her stocking drawer.
Recalling George's words earlier that day,
Brian was instantly angered.
"Samantha" he shouted, "what are you trying to do".
"Are you really going to humiliate me by accepting George's invitation?"
"If you wanna treat me like a good-for-nothing loser fine but don't do it at your own expense and reputation"
"Are you really going to betray our relationship?".

CHAPTER 209
The Future They ChoseThe words Elias Ward had just spoken settled over the chamber like a storm cloud because although everyone present already understood that Eclipse was dangerous, very few of them had imagined that the organization’s ambitions extended beyond power, wealth, or influence. Those goals were familiar. History was filled with men who sought to dominate others through money and authority. What Elias had described was something far more disturbing because it suggested that Eclipse no longer viewed itself as part of humanity. It viewed itself as humanity's replacement.Brian remained completely still while studying the older man's face because he had spent years learning how to recognize deception, and nothing about Elias suggested he was exaggerating. The sadness in his eyes felt genuine. The regret sounded genuine. More importantly, Victor Graves' reaction was telling its own story. The architect of Eclipse no longer looked irritated. He looked cornered. For a man like
CHAPTER 208
The First RebelThe massive reinforced door continued sliding open while every person inside the chamber watched in complete silence because after everything that had happened since entering Blackwater Institute, it had become painfully clear that the man standing beyond that threshold represented something far greater than another hidden enemy or forgotten experiment. The reactions from Ian, Victor Graves, and even Brian's mother had already revealed more than words ever could, and the growing tension throughout the facility suggested that the arrival of this mysterious figure threatened foundations that had existed for decades.Brian remained completely still as his eyes stayed fixed on the widening gap because although countless questions were racing through his mind, one stood above all the others. For years he had been chasing fragments of the truth surrounding his family, and every answer seemed to lead him deeper into a maze of secrets connected to Eclipse. Now another piece of
CHAPTER 207
The Man Who Should Have Been DeadThe silence that followed those words seemed to stretch endlessly throughout the chamber because nobody present could fully understand why a single voice had produced such a dramatic reaction. Brian had spent years facing dangerous enemies, powerful families, and ruthless criminals, yet he had never seen Victor Graves look the way he looked now. The architect of Eclipse remained frozen before the observation glass while every trace of confidence slowly drained from his expression, and for the first time since revealing himself, he appeared less like the mastermind behind a global conspiracy and more like a man confronting a ghost from his past. The facility speakers remained active, but the mysterious voice said nothing further as though deliberately allowing the tension to grow. Whoever stood outside the chamber understood exactly what effect his arrival was having, and the patience behind that silence suggested a level of confidence that immediately
CHAPTER 206
What They BuriedThe moment Ian uttered the words "It escaped," a heavy silence settled throughout the underground chamber because despite everything Brian had witnessed since arriving at Blackwater Institute, nothing compared to the reaction that followed. Victor Graves had spent the entire night presenting himself as a man who controlled every variable around him, someone capable of manipulating governments, corporations, and human lives with little more than patience and calculation, yet the confidence that had defined him from the moment he appeared was beginning to crack. The change was subtle enough that most people would have missed it, but Brian did not. For the first time, Victor looked like a man confronting a problem he could not simply control.Another violent tremor rolled through the facility while dust drifted from the ceiling above, and the distant roar that followed seemed to travel through the reinforced walls themselves. The sound was unlike anything Brian had heard
CHAPTER 205
The Prison BelowThe roar that erupted from somewhere beneath Blackwater Institute seemed to shake the entire underground facility because whatever had produced that sound possessed enough power to make reinforced walls vibrate and security systems malfunction simultaneously, and the moment Laura announced that every security lock inside the institute had been opened, a realization spread through everyone present that the situation had just become far more dangerous than any of them had anticipated. For years, Blackwater had operated as one of the most secure facilities in existence. For years, Victor Graves had controlled every room, every corridor, every experiment, and every prisoner. Now that control was gone.Or at the very least, it was slipping away.Red emergency lights flickered back to life throughout portions of the chamber while warning alarms continued screaming from every direction, creating a chaotic atmosphere that felt completely different from the cold precision that
CHAPTER 204
The Ghost Beneath BlackwaterThe moment those three words left his mother's mouth, an unsettling silence spread throughout the underground chamber because although nobody knew exactly who she was referring to, the expression that appeared on Victor Graves' face was enough to tell everyone that whoever existed beyond that hidden passage was connected to secrets buried far deeper than anything they had uncovered so far. For the first time since revealing himself, Victor no longer looked like a man controlling every aspect of the situation, and that alone made the atmosphere feel far more dangerous than before.Brian's eyes remained fixed on the dark corridor that had slowly emerged behind the containment chamber, because every instinct inside him told him this was no coincidence. Nothing inside Blackwater happened by accident. Every door, every prison cell, every experiment, and every conversation had been carefully controlled for years. If a hidden passage were to open now, someone had
