A second ago, Old Mr. Scott almost punished him with the family's rules. In the next second, he asked Dominick to stay for lunch. That made many people confused about his behavior.

Dominick did not refute and simply sat together at the same table as Hailey, Drew, and the other grandchildren of Old Mr. Scott. There were definitely many luxurious private rooms in the hotel. Still, Old Mr. Scott preferred the banquet to be lively and arranged for it to be in the grand hall.

Dominick walked towards old Mr Scott before speaking respectfully, “Grand… Old Mr. Scott, I’ve always been respectful towards you for the past three years, and I’ve been serving you wholeheartedly too.”

“I promise you, as long as alec does not provoke me in the future, I won’t do anything to him.”

“I only have one request. I hope you will agree to Stella getting a divorce with me!”

According to Edward's past, He ( Edward) had taken care of Old Mr. Scott for the past four years, more than alec had ever done in his entire life. However, Dominick was a live-in grandson-in-law of hers, after all. Regardless of how much effort he put in, he would never compare to Alec.

Old Mr. Scott looked at the crowd and said, “Everyone, as you all know, four years ago, the Scotts accepted a live-in son-in-law because of a marriage agreement that I and my late wife set. Many of you here are my close friends and business partners for decades!”

“In the past four years, Stella has been unhappy, but for the sake of fulfilling my late wife's wishes, Stella's parents have mentioned a divorce to me several times, but I’ve turned down all their requests!”

“Everyone in town loves my granddaughter stella, and most of you refer to her as the most beautiful woman in San Francisco, so there is no need for me to tell you which is the more unworthy person.”

“Today, Dominick beat up my grandson and maligned my granddaughter and Kelvin who is the son of the president. So, I’ve decided not to abide by my late wife's wishes anymore!”

“I declare that dominick will no longer be a live-in- son-in-law of the Scotts, and he will be kicked out of the Scott Family with immediate effect!” Old Mr. Scott's voice was loud and authoritative.

Hearing Old Mr. Scott's words, the crowd all raised their wine glasses.

“Congratulations, Old Mr. Scott, congratulations, Stella!”

“Congratulations, we’ve gotten rid of a good-for-nothing. We can now finally find a better man who’s compatible with stella!”

Stella also raised her glass happily and clinked glasses with the guests, unable to contain the joy that was showing on her face.

The scotts had finally agreed to let Stella and dominick get a divorce. However, at this moment, they were all rejoicing and celebrating.

That made Dominick disgruntled.

“Are you guys so happy to get rid of me? Stella, if you find out my true identity, I wonder if you’d still be able to laugh!”

At this moment, Dominick also joined the crowd in laughing and picked up a glass of wine before walking towards Stella.

“Stella, congratulations, you can finally start looking for a man who’s compatible with you.”

Stella humphed coldly, knowing that Dominick must be hiding his misery and bitterness behind his smile!

Stella said, “If you kneel down and beg me now, I might ask grandpa to show you some mercy and not get rid of you for the time being.”

Dominick chuckled.

‘You betrayed Edward, and yet you want me to kneel down and beg you?’

‘Indeed, they’re really the quasi-first-class family of upper-class society!’

Dominick chugged the wine in his glass in one go and said, “You’re not worthy of it!”

“You…”

Anger was written all over Stella's gorgeous face. She had always been high up in the air, like a queen in front of dominick. However, the humble and lowly servant, Edward (Dominick) , has rebelled today!

And that was something that got her so angry.

Hailey walked over to Old Mr. Scott's table and complained.

“Grandpa, don’t let Edward stay for lunch. He didn’t even prepare a birthday gift. Why should he be allowed to eat at your birthday banquet?”

“In the past four years, Uncle and Aunt have wanted to get rid of Edward. Grandma, if you hadn’t kept him around, how could he stay in our family for three years?”

“What an ingrate. We may have mistreated him, but we’ve at least let him stay in a luxury apartment and drive an expensive car. Yet, he didn’t even prepare a gift for your 80th birthday.”

Although Hailey was nitpicking on Dominick, she did make some sense. If not for Old Mr. Scott's insistence on not letting Stella divorce Edward for four years.

Besides, the scotts had provided shelter for Edward for three years. Today, he was officially going to leave the scotts. Moreover, it happened to be Old Mr. Scott's 80th birthday, so he ought to have brought him a gift.

Dominick thought about it, picked up his cell phone, and then called Ray.

“Hey, prepare a birthday gift on my behalf and send it to the Hotel De la paixe.”

After hearing his words, Hailey said in disdain, “Psht, have you finally come to your senses? However, we Scotts won’t accept the garbage you send!”

Drew also chimed in, “edward, don’t be an embarrassment. Don’t bring all sorts of garbage to the birthday banquet. Look at all the gifts here. Each one is worth at least 30,000 dollars.”

Stella did not want Dominick to embarrass himself and her, either. After all, they were not officially divorced yet, and he would be bringing shame to Stella and her family.

Stella said, “Call and return your gift. If you insist on giving Grandpa a birthday gift, I’ll get someone to prepare one on your behalf.”

Dominick continued to eat his food and ignored the three of them. Indeed, he did not tell Ray how expensive the gift had to be.

However, he knew that ray would never give any cheap gifts!

Only ten minutes had passed.

Up to seven men cladded in black suits suddenly appeared at the entrance of the hotel lobby.
