“UFO detected In sector D25, sending scout.” Tommy the tower observer reported on the global communication channel prepared for this crises.

He mentally guided 2 drones towards Adam’s location to investigate the Unknown/Unregistered flying object phenomenon. the drones captured nothing using normal vision, in thermal vision however, they detected a disappearing heat signature of a child like silhouette. They quickly explored different kinds of visions to see the same fading figure each time, until they couldn’t detect him at all.

“Lost all visual. The UFO Used an advanced concealment, possible hostage scenario, requesting backup, satellite observers! Do you have visual.”

In the mean time, Adam was 5 km in the air, being hit by a strong wind, the sunlight assaulting his eyes as he flung left and right trying to control his position in space.

At first, he thought its going to be made easy by the skill, like what happened with the cluster fabric skill. But once he launched into the air, he found himself unable to control his direction nor speed, so he kept trying different methods.

[Danger detected, 2 hostile drones approaching.

plan of action can include, EMP assault, Laser shot, decoy, concealment capsule, manual response.]

‘What the…! I have a laser gun? That’s awesome! But Use concealment capsule!’ The fabric on his body formed a capsule around him that stopped the harassment of the wind and allowed him to focus better.

Trying to stabilize himself vertically, his vision distorted by the capsule, the 2 drones arrived in front of him and appeared to shoot some kind of laser towards him, which the symbiote clarified as the non visible wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum, and the reason he can see them is because the capsule was countering the wavelength to stay hidden.

Adam didn’t want to stay around and see what the drones are going to do next, he started to ascend higher and higher, until he could see the top of the city 17’s tower, which seemed to pierce through space with its pointy end as it reaches the stratosphere layer.

[Warning: energy level is too low, 10 points.]

A message appeared In front of him displaying the amount of energy he had left.

Panic started to consume him at this point, the energy he had left after the absorption of the gravity stones were about 40 points provided by the undigested food, and he had no more food on him.

[9 points.]

The number decreased further, if he runs out of energy, he will fall to his doom, he didn’t know if the capsule is what depleted his energy, or his attempts to control the gravitational field.

[8 points.]

‘Show me what is consuming this much energy!!’

A chart appeared in front of his eyes, showing the recent energy consumption .

[Space displacement skill: 28 energy points.

G30-2 nanite fabric control skill: 3 energy points.

Bodily functions: 1.7 energy points.

Muscles and movements: 1.5… ]

‘what the f*ck! How would I fly if a minute in the air consumes this much energy?’

He was 17 kilometers high, if he falls from this height he would be little more then a splash of blood on some street, especially considering the abnormal density of his body.

‘Keet! I’m in danger can you save me?!’

He had only one last option, which is to depend on Keet to come for him, but he needed to buy enough time. he ascended higher into the sky to delay his fall, still unable to control the gravitational field, his panic made him apply too much force, which launched him up piercing the troposphere layer and into the stratosphere, If he tried to land with the low energy he has, he might run out of energy before he succeed.

(what the f*ck kid! How did you go up there?! Were you attacked?)

Looking at the location sent to him, Keet was surprised. He accelerated towards him instantly, reaching Mach 10, which left a sonic boom behind him exploding a second later shaking the ocean in the area that Keet was waiting in.

The tower detected this explosion, no vehicles on earth was allowed to reach this speed because it would have negative consequences to the planet’s atmosphere, and endangers some animals and life forms.

Keet didn’t care about the planet or being detected by this point, he was fully committed to saving the life of the little kid who hacked his code, he had no choice.

‘No! I ran out of energy when I was learning to fly! Do you happen to have some food on you?!’

Adam’s stomach was growling in hunger, the pain distracted him as the symbiote turned the 10 kg of fabric into a space suit to protect him from the ultraviolet radiation of the sun.

(Food…! Why were you learning how to fly? You have some explaining to do kid!)

‘Stop calling me kid.’

[2 points.]

Adam tried to calm himself down to think about a proper plan, for some reason he remembered Birdy, he always relied on his help when he needed, yet the only thing he did to pay him back, was to give him what little coins he had left when he no longer needed them.

As he ascended further due to the last push and the low gravity at this height, the sky above him started turning black, a euphoric sense of freedom engulfed him while the countless lights filled his vision, each star opened its arms inviting him for an eternal hug, welcoming him to the eternal vastness of the void, he felt a mysterious warmth filling the persistent coldness of this vastness as the air became too thin to breathe.

It took Keet 3 minutes to reach him, including the deceleration, if he reach him at Mach 10 speed Adam would be turned into a pile of mince meat. during this time, Adam was staring into the vast emptiness of space, getting a glimpse of his real size compared to the universe.

When he finally arrived, Keet’s vehicle seemed to be inflating as he made some room inside the vehicle for Adam, a long arm-like tentacle came from inside of the vehicle to snatch him.

“Where to now!” Keet’s figure emerged from the ground, asking Adam about their destination after scanning him for injuries.

“To the area where the orphanage is located, I want to pick up someone.” Adam rested his head on the back of the comfortable seat and closed his eyes relaxing his stiff muscles. “Can I get some food Keet? I’m starving here!”

For the first time in his life, Adam have survived a real danger, this experience made him change his way of seeing things, He realized that he can’t do everything on his own.

From his previous point of view, receiving help from Ms. Sydni, he considered it a sort of duty, she was the manager of the place that detained him, so it’s only Justice that she helps him. ‘I’ll thank her later.’

“Thank you Keet!” he thought to show some gratitude to the person who just saved his life. Keet acted according to his programming, but it doesn’t change the fact that he did save his life.

Keet looked at him warmly, his face having a slight smile on it. “I think you learned the wrong lesson from this situation kid! What were you doing at this altitude any way?”

Adam remembered that the communication channel is still active, he previously left it open in case he lost consciousness due to the thin atmosphere. “Get out of my head old man!” he murmured tiredly, not ready to answer any questions, his eyelid were too heavy, his consciousness fading slowly.

The dense smooth ball fell to the ground, bypassing the gravity field that previously contained it. It plunged a few centimeters deep into the hard metal floor, a ton of force was concentrated in a small area, making it hard to contain it by regular matter. It was still sinking through the metal floor slowly, as it was being mercilessly pulled by the planet’s gravity.[Connection established. recalculating blueprints to adapt to the signal of the new nanite cluster fabric. More physical contact with the material is required for a faster result.]“Was it successful?!” Keet’s eyes were asking the question before he even moved his lips. He was startled by the sudden disengagement of the sphere from the gravity field. He kept his eyes and scanners on Adam to detect if he is in danger before any thing, and he was relieved for once to see Adam’s expressionless face unchanging. “Can you control it?.”“Yes! The signal is different from any other cluster fabric, my blueprints needs to be modif

“she just disappeared a year after you were born, and in her place there was a message, telling your father to provide them with a certain type of technology if he ever wants to see her again.” Keet said desperately, his voice struggling in a way.“People don’t just disappear!” Adam chuckled, he was hearing about his mother for the first time, and the first thing he hears about her is that she just disappeared. The first thing that came to his mind was that she might have abandoned him and his father. Or that she could be working with the Rinvar clan.“They don’t, but when you see this you may believe the opposite.” Keet created a screen and played a video of a woman singing a sweet lullaby for an infant wrapped in a sky blue blanket with twinkling stars all over it that seems to be moving about. The woman was sitting on a flowery wooden chair rocking back and forth. She appeared to be on some kind of a ship traveling in space, a foreign star constellations were visible from a window

“please continue!.” Adam said. Seeing the shocked expression on Keet’s face, Adam thought that the symbiote created something amazing, so he inwardly requested the details of those spiders. However they were just normal spider scouts, like the one Adam used to kill the man who attempted to kidnap Mela.Keet’s surprise wasn’t triggered by the blueprint itself, he counted 8 spiders rushing in all directions at the same time, and the 8 if them seemed semi-intelligent while moving all over the base exploring about. Even Keet wouldn’t be able to accomplish such a level of control without automating the constructs.Which means either the spiders were all automated and the young kid already knows how to automate drone actions, which would be scary at his age. Or he was directly controlling 8 individual actions while still focusing on their talking, which would be horrifying. The reason Keet didn’t consider the probability of an artificial intelligence, is that the spiders were mostly just to

Adam plunged into the ground raising a cloud of dust and creating a small crater around him as he landed like a super hero on one knee and a closed fist.[The modified armor blueprint features ionic thrusters with up to 8 tons of pushing force.]‘you telling me this now?!’ Adam shouted inwardly at himself, he had no idea that the symbiote modified the armor already. his cognitive abilities and thinking speed were on another level compared to yesterday, but still he was a human that easily got distracted by the feeling of freedom and liberation, and forgot all about the need to stop and land at some point. He also wanted to show off a little in front of Keet to pretend that he wasn’t in need of help or assistance, which resulted in a minor knee bruise and a sore knuckles.“That was a cool Landing. Was it painful?!.” Keet chuckled, commenting on his landing and making sure to save the footage of it in his memory for later use.“You noticed! Well! It just needs some practice.” Adam smile

  • Not again.

“You should come with me to the main base first.” Keet said to Adam, pointing at the middle of the island. The main base wasn’t far from where they were, the whole island was 20 km across, it would take them less then a minute to reach there flying.“Okay you go first and set a beacon, I’ll test some old tech with this new unlimited energy.” Adam didn’t argue with him, but he was still going to do his tests. He turned his clothe into a skin tight jump suit with a helmet covering his face. Two long thin wings grew from his back, ending with a jet engine each.“Do you know how loud these things are?! If you break the sound barrier with them you could damage many equipment on the island. You should try something else.” Keet stopped Adam from firing up the engines. he hated this era of technology for its too little care for the planet’s well-being. Unlike the mock engines that Adam was planning to use, the real ancient jet engine used a dangerous fossil fuel, which didn’t just endanger th

  • A small conversation.

Adam was sitting on a wooden table behind the house, eating his big breakfast while surrounded by trees, flowers, and whistling birds. The rich sunlight bathed him in its warmth and its wide spectrum of electromagnetic radiations. “Birdy didn’t wake up yet?! He sure doesn’t miss Gem.” He said stuffing his face with more food, He stopped focusing on chewing much, the food would disappear in a few seconds anyway. He was worried about Birdy, it was unnatural for the kid to sleep in.Birdy used to wake up earlier then every one, Adam would sometime Hear him laughing on the top bed, he thought at first that he was having some weird dream. When he asked him about it, Birdy Said that it was the only time of the day he would quietly enjoy reading his comics.“That boy is actually quite something! He trained for four hours straight after you went to sleep, not taking any rest until he passed out on the living room’s floor.” Keet informed Adam while aiming a barrage of scanners and detectors at
