3. The God of War Takes His Duty

Savana swallowed hard, she couldn't think of any words to tell Xavier to refuse his grandfather's request. Instead, Xavier told her to go home alone and said he would find a job to prepare for their wedding in thirteen days.

It's not that Savana doesn't trust Xavier's words, but she can lend him the money if they want to throw a lavish party. For the sake of her husband's good name, Savana didn't want to be insulted.

Savana got into the car as soon as she realised she had been daydreaming for several minutes. She drove the car at a slow pace, looking around the streets for Xavier. Where was this guy going to get a job and make good money in thirteen days? It didn't make any sense, Savana sighed heavily when she couldn't find her husband. Finally she decided to go to the office, it was still her working time.

On the other hand, Xavier was already in the car. He deliberately walked a long way, making sure that no one saw him as he got into the car. Leo did not dare to drive the car without Xavier's orders. Apparently his boss wanted to make sure that his wife got into the car. But Savana looked like a dazed person and Xavier felt guilty that he might have burdened his wife's mind. But no matter what, it was much harder for him to tell her who he really was.

"Now go, Leo."

Leo nodded and he quickly drove the car away. "What exactly happened boss?" asked Leo curiously because Xavier hadn't told him anything.

"I'll tell you later, now I'll ask you. What did you want to talk to me about that you wanted to meet?" Xavier asked back, looking at Leo who was driving the car.

"It's a rather serious matter boss. The superiors have asked you to take over as the Commander-in-Chief who will take care of the construction of new districts on the four main islands, Shetland, Orkney, Inner Hebrides and Outer Hebrides, because only you are competent and can do the job well. We Zodiac Warriors are at your disposal, Boss," Leo said very firmly, and he should be able to get Xavier to accept the offer, as his superiors would only give such a great responsibility to their God of War.

"I will accept, provided you help me solve a few problems first. And can I go directly to the superiors today?"

Leo's eyes widened in disbelief, he immediately nodded, and how pleased Leo was that Xavier did not immediately reject the offer. "Okay, boss, let's go to the palace right now!"

The way to the royal palace that was their boss took fifteen minutes from where they were. Leo looked at Xavier who was watching the road.

"Boss, how can we help you solve your problem?" asked Leo, seeming to break the silence between them.

Xavier did not immediately tell him what had just happened. If he told Leo the truth, Xavier was sure that all those who had insulted him would not be able to escape Leo, they would get justice and feel hopeless about their lives. Xavier didn't want to do that right now. He sighed a few times and then began to express his wish. "I want to have the most elaborate wedding in town. I want to make it up to Savana for leaving her without news. She has been a loyal and devoted wife to me, so I want her to be happy."

Leo stared at Xavier's request. He didn't think it was a big deal, for a God of War it was obviously a very easy problem to solve. Xavier already had everything, anything he wanted would be possible. He would even use the royal palace as his office when he accepted his new position as Commander-in-Chief.

"Boss, are you serious? When is the party? I'll gladly take care of everything. You can even get all the companies in this town if you want, why do you look so giddy about it?" Leo chuckled softly, he really admired Xavier for not wanting to take all his wealth with him immediately after becoming God of War. He could even become a billionaire these days.

"Yes, that's all for now. I can't finish it in thirteen days. It's all too sudden," Xavier muttered as he looked at Leo.

"Thirteen days? Ah, that's enough if I use a lot of energy." Leo started to imagine where he could start.

"Good. You are indeed reliable. I trust you. I don't want to know what you are going to prepare, because it will be a surprise for me as well. Don't forget to prepare the wedding dress before the day, send it to Savana's home address and give us both beautiful diamond rings."

"Yes, boss! I promise not to disappoint you!" Leo replied firmly.

Xavier smiled mysteriously, he couldn't wait for the day to come. Then everyone would be curious to see how he could create such a big and luxurious party without any help! He would make everyone curious, including the Cooper and Smith families.

Arriving at the country's royal palace, Xavier disembarked immediately and received a respectful welcome from his subordinates who knew him well. They had apparently also been transferred to this location. David rose from his seat and walked over to Xavier, smiling happily at the sight of his son.

Then they shared a warm embrace, and Xavier seemed to be dreaming. He really missed his father.

"Dad, what happened? Did Mummy survive the accident? Sorry, I just got home and I forgot to look after Xania."
