Seeing Savana's happiness, Xavier couldn't refuse her invitation. He and Savana decided to eat first out of respect for Anggie who had cooked so hard for them. I don't know where Savana's parents were, they seemed to be busy themselves and didn't join them for dinner. Meanwhile, Xavier's food, which Ella had brought, was also being taken to his room by Anggie.

"Mum, Dad, let's go for a walk first!" called Savana as she said goodbye to them, then linked her hand to Xavier's left arm as they walked to the car.

"Let me drive for you," Xavier said as he took the car keys from Savana's hand.

Meanwhile, Savana, who had just got into the car, looked at Xavier and raised half an eyebrow in surprise. "Are you sure you can drive for me?" asked Savana, because she had never seen Xavier drive for her before, so she was curious.

"Of course I can drive, even though I don't have a driving licence, but I can drive. Don't doubt me," Xavier said with a faint smile until Savana finally nodded in agreement and immediately got into the car while she waited for Xavier to go around and take the driver's seat in her place.

Savana watched silently as Xavier drove the car. It turned out that Xavier was really capable of driving this car. Even the way he drove was smoother and less rigid than she had expected.

"Have you ever driven in a war?" asked Savana, finally opening her voice.

"There is no such thing as driving in a war," Xavier replied, shaking his head in wonder.

"I mean, how did you learn to drive when you were busy fighting a war?" exclaimed Savana, still watching Xavier from the side.

"Before I married you and joined the military, I already knew how to drive and was often Xania's chauffeur. So I still remember how to do it," Xavier explained to Savana, who was able to put her curiosity to rest.

Twenty minutes later, they arrived at the city's shopping centre. Xavier and Savana went into a clothes shop to look around. Xavier didn't know what to buy, so he just followed where Savana went.

"Xavier, you have to try this on," Savana exclaimed as she told Xavier to come closer and then pressed the shirt she had chosen onto Xavier's body.

"It's nice," Savana murmured, then told Xavier to hold it up and look for other colour combinations.

While Savana was busy looking for clothes for Xavier to wear, Xavier secretly picked out women's clothes, bags and shoes that would be suitable for Savana and went to the checkout first to pay before her.

"Please give me a moment because I have to accompany my wife back," Xavier said as he left his purchases at the checkout first.

After depositing his black card, Xavier walked over to Savana who was still busy shopping.

"Xavier?" Savana was surprised to find Xavier suddenly standing behind her as she turned around.

Xavier smiled slightly as he saw Savana carrying three items. Trousers, shoes and a suit for herself. "It's done, where's the shirt?" asked Savana as she looked at Xavier's empty hands.

"I gave it to the cashier," Xavier said, which made Savana smile softly, she went to the cashier and was about to pay for everything, but suddenly someone stopped her.

"Savana, what are you doing here?" said Janiska as she walked up to them, then she looked at Xavier and immediately burst out laughing because it turned out that Savana was buying clothes for Xavier.

"Hi, Janiska. How are you?" said Savana in a friendly greeting.

Xavier stood beside Savana, looking sharply at Janiska and Gylen, his brothers from the Smith family.

"Turns out you're dependent on your wife now, huh?" Gylen joked at Xavier, giving him a dismissive look.

Xavier didn't answer, taking the items from Savana's hand and hurrying to the cashier. As Xavier had already negotiated with the cashier in front of him, he simply handed over the items and let her take care of it until all the paper bags were handed over to him.

Savana, seeing this, could only stare in confusion and approached her husband. "I've paid for everything, let's get out of here, Savana." Xavier gave Savana his arm, then thanked the cashier for helping him without having to take out his black card.

"HEY! XAVIER! HOW STUPID OF HIM TO SHOP LIKE THAT, HUH?" Janiska was annoyed to death, but she couldn't stop them.

The staff there told Janiska to make a scene because she was already upset, so Janiska took Gylen with her and didn't go shopping there. Today she was really angry because not only did she not get an invitation to the Grand Commander's event tomorrow, but it turned out that she had to meet Xavier.

To be honest, the incident at the clothes shop was still confusing Savana as she looked at Xavier, who was casually ignoring her brother. Then there was the question of how Xavier could pay for all the shopping that Savana was supposed to pay for?

"Why?" Xavier also stopped his steps when he saw that Savana was not moving.

"How did you pay for all that?" Savana asked curiously.

Xavier smiled gently, taking Savana's palm and holding it tightly. "Is there anything else you want to buy?" Xavier asked back and didn't answer Savana's question first.

"Xavier!" Savana was annoyed that she was being ignored.

"That's not important right now Savana, but I also bought you this," Xavier said as he handed over a bag containing women's clothes, bags and shoes.

Seeing this, Savana opened her mouth wide. She became even more curious about Xavier and found him very mysterious. Unable to find a satisfactory answer, Savana pulled Xavier to sit down somewhere. Xavier stood in front of her, while Savana was already sitting with her hands folded on her stomach. Her eyes narrowed and she looked straight at Xavier.

"Please be honest with me, Xavier. Why are you so mysterious?" Savana said. "I'm not going home until you tell me," Savana shouted again, this time turning her face away, looking sulky but cute in Xavier's eyes.

"I'm sorry, but I can't right now." Xavier remained firm. He put down his groceries first, before adjusting his sitting position towards Savana. "I promise, when the time is right, you will know everything. Just trust me until our wedding, okay?" Xavier pleaded, making Savana melt instantly.

"Dad, why did you bring so many things?" Savana looked around the living room where there were so many luxurious items wrapped like presents.

"This is a gift for the Grand Commander, Savana. Didn't you prepare a gift for the Commander-in-Chief anyway?" asked Joseph, looking at his well-groomed daughter and son-in-law, but seeing nothing in their hands that could be a gift for the Commander-in-Chief.

Savana was stunned when she heard this, she couldn't understand the Cooper family. There were all the names of gift-givers, whereas last night when she and Xavier had discussed what gifts to bring, Xavier had said they didn't need to give anything. It was enough to cook the sweets that they had made with their hearts and decorated attractively, because for Xavier, the most valuable gift was a sincere one.

"I brought the sweets that Xavier suggested, Father. Rather than give them a precious gift, which they will find insulting, it's better to give them something sincere because we made it ourselves," Savana explained carefully.

Anggie laughed, she hadn't expected her daughter to think like that. While everyone who came must have given a valuable gift at this time, she thought it might win over the Grand Commander, so she suggested that Joseph buy a nice, branded watch.

"You're so silly, whatever it is, we're leaving now!" Anggie exclaimed as she told Xavier to bring presents from the other Cooper family.

They would travel together in one car and then meet Sheila's family on site, as they were the only ones invited to represent the Cooper family.

"Xavier, I'm wondering why your name is there when I heard that none of the Smith family received an invitation," Joseph said as they drove to the site.

Xavier obviously knew because he had done it. He was the one who checked all the invitations.

"Seriously Dad? Yesterday Savana met Janiska and Gylen at the shopping centre. They insulted Xavier, but why didn't they get it? They should have, their business is bigger than the Cooper family," Savana said as she wondered, then she secretly looked at Xavier but didn't say anything else.
