Chapter 1 – Huh?

"Sigh..." he sighed as he closes his eyes. "There's two task to go..." he said while looked to these book in front of him.

Although it was already midnight, he decided to finish his homework so he could go to sleep, but before he could get to his book, a noise came from his phone.

Realize there was calling from his phone, he then took his phone which was next to the books. He looked at his phone and saw a name who calling him, it was Olivia Eleanor. She was his girlfriend's so he quickly accept the call.

He still remembers the first time they met. They met accidentally during the rainy season and because neither of them brought an umbrella, so he decided to asked her name to know each other.

But no one knows what fate has in store, from there they became closer, they often played together like playing games, watched movies, and so on until one moment where he decided to confess his feel to her at a place recommended by his friends.

Luckily, Olivia accepted his feelings and from then on they officially started dating. It has been one years since that day, and he still remembers it like it was yesterday. She means a lot for him.

Back to the this situation where suddenly Olivia calling him in middle of night.

"Hello, babe?" he was the first one who started the conversation even though Olivia the one who calling him.

"Umm... Daniel...?" Olivia said in a hesitant tone.

"Yes...?" asked Daniel, who was called by his girlfriend in a hesitant tone, and he started to get nervous.

"Actually... i don't know what should i do right now..."

Hearing those strange sentence from his girlfriend's mouth, he then trying to calm her down. "What's wrong...?" he don't know why but he could feel something going to happen, so he preparing himself.

"Umm... so..."

"... y-you know that my dad not welcome to you right...?" she said in a trembling tone.

"Hm... i knew..." he answered with an unpleasant expression.

Yeah, actually, he himself knew the differences between her and him. They shouldn't be together. Olivia Eleanor was born with a wealthy and reputation family that could grant her every wish, while Daniel had a meager family, and he himself struggling to support himself. On his family side, there only Daniel and his mother.

He know that, but he still loves her. He can't denied his feelings. That's why he settled to confess his feeling on that day.

The reason why their relationship has lasted this long, for a year, is because her's mother tried to give Daniel leniency and persuade Olivia's grandparents and her husband.

Eleanor's family actually has a unique tradition that has been passed down through generations: each descendant must have a spouse that has a equal background. This tradition been around for a long time, and Olivia's grandparents want to passed it on into Olivia's generation.

"Bought a luxury estate, right? I knew it's difficult even if they gave me 5 years, but I'll sure there a way for this one. What's wrong?"

Her mother's trying her best to persuade her husband and their parents. Love after all can't be determined solely by a person's background, so with her mother's persuasion, her's family set conditions for the two to continue dating until mariage. That was Daniel had to buy Olivia a luxury estate within five years, and she cannot help in any chance.

"Hmm.. it is, but actually, there's been a change in the condition..."

Hearing those makes he started listening seriously then he said, "Tell me." he started to tighten his grip.

"So it was changed not long ago, and the change is that you have to bought me a luxury estate from the original within 5 years to only 2 years..." she said while her tone getting quieter as the sentence ended.

Suddenly he felt his heart stop for a second when he hearing the words that came out from his girlfriend's mouth.

"Changed from 5 years to 2 years?!" he shouted.

He started thinking deep into his own mind. Intially, he thought the five-year term was already insane, but he was willing to endure it to woo his beloved. Now, its been changed to just two years. Its three years apart from before.

He only do one part-time job for now, and that was as minimarket cashier on the night shift. He started from 6 a.m finish in 12 p.m and it just enough to supply himself, thus he not work everyday since he was also a student at a university.

"Maybe i should accepted more part-time jobs? But then what about university? Dropout? Wait wait wait, mom will angry if she hear that..."

Not ended with just that, he continued his nonsense talking, "I watched some reels yesterday, they'd trading...? Maybe i can try that? But firstly, i need big money to began with..." then he started to planning a masterpiece roadmap for his future.

Out of the blue he started feel bit of headache crawling on his head.

Realizing his girlfriend's yelled at him, he looked again to his phone. "Ah... I'm sorry, i just confused right now. Can you... leave me alone?" he said while ruffling his hair.

"I know, that hard right... sigh... i'm not forcing you, but whatever happens I'll still support your choice. I'll ended the call. I love you~"

"I... love you too..." then she ended the call. Knowing that he placed his phone on tabel in front of him like before. He went to the bed and started lay down. He don't know what exactly was happen at this midnight, its out of nowhere.

"Sigh..."

"Olivia..." he remembering every moments when they were together as he closed his eyes. Every words that came out from her mouth, her smile, and other moment that were etched in his heart began to roam his mind.

He then opened his eyes, "No matter what, we will together." with confidently, he stated. But when he was still thinking about his future plan, out of nowhere there's a mid-air hologram interface in front of him.
