The man in front of him is Alvis Johansen, a merchant who has trade connections in both the countries of Norway and Sweden. Lucas had a chance encounter with the man as said merchant was going through the forest for securing a deal. Unfortunately for the merchant he was ambushed by bandits but fortunately for Lucas he was in the area going through his training when it happened.
He saved the man and defeated the bandits and the merchant in response was quite pleased with him. After that the two of them would see each other from time to time as the merchant had taken quite a liking to Lucas due to him saving his life and him being much different than the other nobles. While Alvis was a good businessman he isn't treated that greatly by the other nobles due to him not being from a noble family in the country. Due to this he had taken quite a liking to Lucas due to him treating him like any other person. He liked him even more when he saw Lucas' potential in the business department.Lucas used his position as a noble to learn about the states of the matters in the country and the market and using that information helped Alvis in boosting his business. Though of course Lucas didn't trust the man fully as he just wasn't going to let his guard down towards a merchant. Of course, Alvis considered it as a good characteristic as putting faith in a merchant he had met was too naive."So what information do you have for me this time?" Alvis asked him."Well it isn't much but I presume you know about the growing tension between the kingdoms of Norway and Sweden." Lucas asked him as he sat on the sofa in front of the merchant."Yes it has been going around in the merchant circles. Unfortunately, I am unable to get ahold of any information about that matter." Alvis said to him."Yes well, you are aware that the Kingdom's of Norway and Sweden came into being 400 years ago due to a dispute between the prince's of the King who ruled over the combined empire of both kingdom's. And due to this fact the royal families of both the kingdoms are quite antagonistic with eachother. Even though it has lessened in the 400 years the pride they have as royal families do not let them just say that they are at fault." Lucas said to them."Yes I am aware. A problem with most of the noble and royal families is that they have too much pride and won't admit their mistakes even if it's their fault." Alvis said with a sigh."Yes, due to that fact the animosity between the families hasn't lessened but what really changed them was the recent dispute of the land. I presume you're aware about it." Lucas said to the merchant."Yes it is not that much of a secret to us merchants. A few soldiers of Norway managed to find a cave rich in minerals and gems. But the problem was that the cave also opened into the territory of the Sweden kingdom and has now resulted in a dispute over the land and it's resources."I suppose I shouldn't expect anything less. Yes that is true, and from what I managed to gather the two royal families and powerful noble families are fighting to prove their superiority to the other. Due to this fact both the kingdoms have come to the verge of war and neither royal family seems to want to yield." Lucas said to him."I truly wonder what the future of the two kingdoms will be." Alvis said to him."As far as I can see it isn't a great. Neither of the kingdoms will be willing to back down, more so when it is a cave containing minerals and gems. I suggest you stock up on food and other related products. If war does break out then the kingdom will want supplies and you can give it to them. And even if war doesn't happen you can still sell the products." Lucas said to him."That is true. I have also decided to buy some metals for myself as well. If the situation escalates any further then both the kingdoms will be at war and will want more metals for their weapon's. If all goes well, then I will manage to make great profit from it." Alvis said to him."It would seem so." Lucas said agreeing with him. After that the two went into extensive talks about the way they would do business and increase the profits that they will be able to get from the business. After one and a half hours they seperated and went to their own homes. Lucas made up an excuse about going around the city to enjoy it and his parents didn't find it suspicious since he would go to the city from time to time. After that the rest of his time was spent in learning and training in both his magic and martial arts. He did extensive training since he didn't want to make a fool of himself in the arena. He wasn't going to look down on his opponent so he made sure to train his techniques. That was the way most of his day had went as he trained himself more.In the evening he received a letter and was now currently in his room as he opened the letter to read it. He looked at the one who sent it and smiled as he saw the name. He opened the envelope and placed it aside as he looked at the letter. The letter read as follows:[Master Lucas, I have managed to get the information as you had instructed and was able to send this letter to you. I'm sorry to inform that it took some time since it was getting quite busy in the country with the dispute over the land. But I have gained the necessary information you needed. As you had surmised, the royal family of Sweden do not wish to yield to the country of Norway and it has been going around the commander's that the kingdom might go at war if the dispute escalates any further. Though it seems that the royal family has some plans and don't wish to go to war at the moment. I don't know what it is but I would advice you to be careful of the royal family.I hope you receive this letter without any obstructions.]Lucas read the letter seriously before going into deep thought.'It seems that the royal family is plotting something. But what could it be that they're thinking of doing. I should be careful and make sure that I won't be caught by surprise.' Lucas thought to himself with a serious look.He looked at the envelope in his hand knew things were about to heat up.

Lucas didn't give the soldiers a chance to attack as he immediately lunged forward with his sword ready, the runes taking effect as he swung and decapitated three soldiers as his sword sang as it cut through the necks of the soldiers with ease as its wielder spun around as he shot out flames which burned the soldiers as they cried out in pain. He looked at Kriemhild as she also attacked the soldiers as her sword was also able to cut through their armor and their bodies as the sword was working as he had intended as he smiled to himself as he focused back on the enemies. The mages were busy putting up shields to deflect the flames from Falkor which only annoyed the wyvern as it roared and increased the speed as it flew through the air and attacked the other soldiers as the mages kept on using shields as they knew that they couldn't lose them. The archers also attacked the wyvern but it was proving to be ineffective as the wyvern was able to dodge the arrows as they were getting angr

Lucas quickly put on his armor and grabbed his sword as he dashed out of his room, startling the servants near his room as they looked at him in shock as he quickly went down the stairs, his armor making noise which caught the attention of his parents as they came out of a room to find him in armor. "Son?" Leif called out in confusion alongside his wife. "The enemy soldiers are attacking!" Lucas shouted as he dashed without stopping as his words caused the eyes of his parents to widen alongside the servants. "What!?" All of them shouted in shock at his sudden declaration. But Lucas didn't wait for a response as he threw open the doors of the entrance as be spotted Falkor who was currently chilling on the ground, though he did sense his Master and looked at him. "Get ready to fly!" Lucas shouted as the Wyvern's eyes narrowed in response as it let out a light roar. Falkor raised his wings as he raised his body up using his legs as Lucas jumped onto his back as he steadied him
Chapter 57
Alpha and his comrades were keeping watch at the border as they had been ordered by Lucas and they hadn't seen anything out of the ordinary in there, just the usual forest and the animals that live, there weren't any disturbances nor any soldiers, though he did feel concerned that they would attack at once, but they would be able to see him, after all they had been trained for reconnaissance and while they aren't as good as their master, they could at least move away before the attack and warm Lucas during the time of attack. They were scattered around the border, with weapons at the ready in case of an ambush and were a good distance away from the border and hidden so that they will be able to safely kill any small group of soldiers that came out of the kingdom and intruded into their own. While it was a bit boring, it was safe and it wasn't like there was any danger now so he is quite content with doing this, it also allowed him to enjoy the wildlife as well. It was tranquil and e
Chapter 56
The new day started as Lucas woke up and started to train in his magic as he stayed in his room and kept a watch on the borders of the kingdom to make sure that his subordinates are fine and was glad to see that they were keeping watch over the border. Though he is dissatisfied about the fact that he wasn't able to look at the enemy kingdom and understand what was happening. Falkor is also in the garden and is working as a guard to ensure that they are safe. Since he has very sharp senses, he would be able to know when danger is afoot, which will allow him and his family to be ready. He doesn't know who has shot that attack but he knows that they are strong for being able to do that. But he also didn't know if that was the best they could do or if they have more tricks up their sleeve. There were more questions than answers, which frustrated him as he didn't know what to do in such a situation, other than creating plans based on what he knows and can hypothesize as he just wante
Chapter 55
The moment Lucas returned to his home he told his parents about the danger and asked them to be prepared just in case and to not tell about it to anyone until something happened. They were confused at the sudden words of their son but they trusted him as he went to his room and to the secret room where he started to go through the grimoires he has as he looked at the spells in the book as he narrowed his eyes. 'That attack would've finished me if it had hit and the more problematic thing is that I don't even know if that mage is able to do more or not. What if he was only testing me? I don't have any information to draw any conclusions on this.' Lucas thought to himself as he frowned at the lack of information. He hoped that his boys were cautious, though he had given them training and taught them to be always cautious, they were still only human and they might relax while out on the patrol. 'It would be ideal to have Aslaug with me as she would be able to warn me about it and
Chapter 54
Lucas has wanted to return to his own territory after telling the royals about the warning, but Olivia wanted to talk with him after that so he decided to forego that plan for the moment as he has to follow the wishes of the princess above all as a member of the nobility after all. "Why did you wish to talk with me princess?" Lucas asked her respectfully. "I was curious about your plan to combat this new threat. I'm sure that you would've already come up with a plan of action after learning about the danger." Olivia said as she looked at him. "Yes, I suppose you are right. Though it isn't a real plan as much as it is just something that I came up with on the spot." Lucas said as he shook his head from side to side. "I see. I guess you want to go back and get your territory ready?" Olivia said as she smiled at him. "Yes, I still haven't told my parents about it yet since I wanted to inform you immediately." Lucas said to her seriously. "Then I shall not delay you any further, as
