The two remaining assassins stared at their leader's bleeding body in total shock, their faces turning completely white as they stepped back into the wet mud.

"What kind of strange sorcery is this?" the second killer shrieked, his voice shaking with a massive wave of sudden terror. "How dare you use forbidden dark artifacts against us!"

"You will regret doing this to our captain!" the third one roared, his eyes wide with unbridled fury. "Do you honestly think you are the only one who knows dark magic?"

Dustin did not say a single word to them; he stood perfectly straight and looked only at the new words flashing brightly on his blue system screen.

[Ding! 8,000 Anger Points earned from the targets' intense shock and fury! Total balance: 8,000 points!]

"We cannot defeat this weapon with normal power!" the second assassin hissed, turning to his friend with a crazy, desperate look on his face. "We must use the ultimate forbidden magic right now!"

"Yes! Let's do it!" the third one agreed, biting his own tongue with intense force until thick, dark blood ran down his chin. "We will sacrifice our own lives to activate the ancestral devil spell!"

The two men dropped to their knees immediately, chanting a loud, creepy song that made the freezing air in the valley turn completely cold.

Suddenly, the dead body of their captain and the bodies of the guards on the ground began to melt into a thick, horrifying black smoke.

The black smoke swirled around the two remaining killers like a dark hurricane, their muscles expanding massively as their skin turned a dark, unholy gray color.

"Stop it! Please stop this madness right now!" Lady Vivienne cried out from the mud, her voice full of absolute despair as she saw the dark magic rising.

"Dustin, please run away!" Vivienne begged, tears streaming down her pale face. "They are destroying their own souls! You cannot fight this power!"

Dustin did not move a single inch, a dangerous, icy smirk appearing on his face as he watched their terrifying transformation in the middle of the road.

He reached down with his left hand, grabbed Vivienne's arm smoothly, and pulled her up from the wet dirt to stand firmly behind his back.

"Do not worry at all, My Lady," Dustin told her, his voice sounding completely calm, steady, and full of deep confidence. "Watch how I kill them both with one single shot each."

The two assassins finished their dark spell, their eyes turning completely black without any white parts left, making them look like bloodthirsty monsters from hell.

"Die, you mortal dog!" the gray monsters roared in unison, their voices sounding like heavy rocks grinding together in the quiet valley.

Dustin did not hesitate; he raised the heavy black pistol with a perfectly steady hand, aiming straight at the middle of their massive foreheads.

BANG! BANG! Two thunderous shots exploded through the misty mountain pass, the kinetic bullets flying with extreme, blinding speed.

The bullets drilled straight into their foreheads with perfect precision, but the two monsters did not fall down or stop moving at all.

They only staggered back for a single second, thick black ichor oozing from the holes in their heads instead of red blood, before the wounds closed and disappeared as if they had never been there.

"What!" Dustin muttered, his eyes narrowing slightly as he saw his weapon fail to pierce their new gray flesh.

"They are not humans anymore, Dustin!" Lady Vivienne screamed in total terror, her hands trembling as she clutched his tattered shirt. "They are now Slum Devils!"

"Your strange iron weapon cannot affect their dark magic spirits!" Vivienne wailed, her voice cracking with pure, agonizing fear. "We are going to die!"

Before Dustin could pull the trigger again, the two Slum Devils unleashed a massive wave of black spiritual energy that flooded the entire road.

The black magic instantly turned into long, heavy dark tendrils that wrapped tightly around Dustin’s and Vivienne’s necks like thick iron ropes.

The dark tendrils lifted them both high off the ground, suspending them mid-air as the evil magic began to actively drain their lifeforce.

Dustin felt his breath leaving him, his throat closing up completely as the black energy siphoned his life into the dark void.

Vivienne let out a weak, painful cough, a thick splatter of warm blood leaving her lips as her silver eyes closed and she fainted completely from the heavy pressure.

Trapped in the air and unable to move his limbs, Dustin’s soul was consumed by a raw, unadulterated wave of calcified fury.

"System!" Dustin shouted weakly inside his own mind, his thoughts moving with lightning speed. "Give me a weapon that can destroy these dark devils right now!"

[Ding! Advanced Tactical Submachine Gun available for 8,000 Anger Points. This weapon fires blessed kinetic rounds to vaporize dark spirits. Would you like to buy, Host?]

"Buy it! Control it with my mind and shoot them right now!" Dustin ordered fiercely inside his consciousness.

[Ding! 8,000 points spent. Advanced Tactical Submachine Gun deployed!]

In a fraction of a second, a large, advanced automatic gun appeared floating in the air right beside Dustin's suspended body, its metallic barrel pointing at the monsters.

With a sharp mental command from Dustin, the automatic weapon unleashed a furious, continuous barrage of high-rate kinetic gunfire.

RAT-TAT-TAT-TAT-TAT! A massive storm of bright, glowing bullets rained down upon the two monsters, shredding through their gray flesh like paper.

The two Slum Devils let out a final, agonizing shriek as the blessed bullets tore their bodies into bloody pieces, their black eyes exploding into dust.

The dark magic tendrils instantly vanished into thin air, and the heavy pressure over the mountain pass disappeared completely.

Dustin and Vivienne fell down from the high air, but before Lady Vivienne’s fragile body could slam into the hard stone floor, Dustin moved like a shadow.

He caught her safely in his strong arms, dropping to his knees as he held her pale, still frame against his chest.

Her breathing was very shallow, her lips were turning blue, and her heart was beating so slowly it felt like it would stop moving at all.

"System, hurry!" Dustin urged frantically inside his mind, his jaw tightening as he looked down at her beautiful, quiet face. "Give me a premium Medical Tool Kit right now!"

[Ding! Error. Premium Medical Tool Kit costs 5,000 Anger Points. Host currently has zero points left in the balance. Insufficient funds!]

"What?" Dustin gasped mentally, his heart dropping into a deep abyss. "I need to save her! She tried her best to protect me from those vipers!"

[Warning! Target's lifeforce is dropping exceptionally fast. Host must anger someone immediately to earn points, or you will lose her forever in two minutes!]

Dustin looked around the empty, bloody road, but there was absolutely no one else left alive here to make angry except the unconscious lady in his arms.

"Please wake up," Dustin whispered, shaking her shoulders gently, but Vivienne's silver eyes stayed completely closed. "Vivienne, please look at me!"

"You cannot just die on me like this!" Dustin cried out, his voice cracking with a palpable sense of pure, helpless panic as he looked at her quiet face. "Didn't you say you'll take me to your manor? Didn't you say I am your man?"

A heavy, warm tear fell from Dustin's eye, splashing softly against Vivienne's pale cheek. Slowly, her long eyelashes trembled, and her silver eyes weakly opened just a tiny bit.

"Dustin..." Vivienne whispered, her voice so incredibly faint that it sounded like a dying breeze. "Do not... do not cry for a master you just met today."

"Do not speak like that!" Dustin shook his head fiercely, his hands trembling as he held her. "You are going to be fine. I am going to save you, I promise!"

"No... my heart feels so cold, Dustin," Vivienne murmured, a small, sad smile appearing on her lips as another drop of blood leaked from her mouth. "The dark poison has already entered my core. It is too late."

"It is not too late!" Dustin roared, his heart breaking as he saw her giving up. "I won't let you die! Do you hear me? You cannot leave me alone in this dark world!"

"I am glad... glad I could at least save you from those cruel people before the end," Vivienne whispered, her silver eyes filling with tears as she looked up at him with total vulnerability. "Live well, Dustin. Remember... you are no longer a slave."

Her eyes began to close again, her hand falling limp from his tattered shirt as her breath hitched completely.

Dustin’s mind raced in absolute, frantic terror, desperately screaming inside his own consciousness. "System! There must be a way! Tell me how to buy the medical kit right now!"

[Warning! Target is entering total cardiac arrest! Host must anger Lady Vivienne immediately if you want to earn the points to save her!]

Dustin stared at the blue text in absolute shock, his jaw tightening with immense frustration. "Are you insane? How on earth am I supposed to anger a dying woman just to save her life?"

[One minute remaining, Host! Choose now, or she will become a cold corpse!]

Dustin looked down at Vivienne’s beautiful, still face, his heart pounding against his ribs like a wild drum. He knew he had absolutely zero other options left to save her from the dark poison.

"Look, I am so, so sorry, but I have to do this to save you right now," Dustin muttered under his breath, his face full of an intense, awkward seriousness.

With his teeth clenched, Dustin reached out his large hand through her silver robes and tightly grabbed her soft chest, squeezing it with a firm, unyielding pressure.
