Hearing the words of Lucas, Jack turned around slowly, his expression curious and mildly irritated. Standing just a few feet behind him was a man he didn’t recognize. Jack's gaze swept over him from head to toe, sizing him up, trying to place a name to the face—but no matter how hard he looked, the man remained a stranger.

"Who's asking?" Jack inquired sharply, his brow furrowed as he took in the unfamiliar features. "Are you a fan or something? You want an autograph?"

Lucas stepped forward slowly, cautious but composed. However, before he could get any closer, the two bouncers flanking Jack immediately sprang into action. They moved swiftly, stepping in front of their boss to block Lucas’s path. Their stances were aggressive, eyes locked on him with suspicion.

"Just stay right where you are, fam," Jack muttered, his tone firm, laced with irritation. "I don’t trust you."

Raising both hands in a universal sign of peace, Lucas spoke calmly, trying to diffuse the tension. "I mean you no

“You’re accusing my top fan of robbing a billion dollars?!” Jack snapped, his voice rising with fury.“I’m not accusing him,” Lucas replied calmly. “He’s a suspect—a lead. That’s why I need you to tell me his name and everything you know about him. Once you do, I’ll be out of your hair.”Jack scoffed again, anger bubbling just beneath the surface. “Who the hell do you think you are? You begged me for ten minutes, and I gave it to you. Now you're trying to drag me into something serious? I stream for a living, man. I’m not getting involved in a goddamn criminal investigation.”“I’m not here to fight,” Lucas said quietly. “I came here asking for your help. But if you refuse, I’ll have to involve my boss. And trust me, neither of us wants that.”There was a subtle shift in Lucas’s voice—quiet, but unmistakably cold. A warning cloaked in calmness. It made Jack pause. For the first time since the conversation began, the smirk faded completely from his lips.“What... did you just say?” Jack

The living room of Mr. Domenico fell into a deep, tense silence after he uttered those final words. Mrs. Anderson remained seated, her gaze fixed on him with a piercing curiosity. She took a slow sip of her wine, then lowered her glass and spoke with a knowing smirk."You're planning something, aren't you, homhey?" she asked, the corners of her lips curling upward.Mr. Domenico took a deliberate drag from his cigarette and exhaled a thick cloud of smoke that drifted lazily through the air. He leaned back into the plush cushions of his couch, casually crossing one leg over the other. His expression was calm, yet something dangerous simmered beneath it."I already gave him a chance to accept this deal peacefully," he said, his voice low and deliberate. "If he dares to say no—or offers some pitiful excuse—I’ll remind him that no one, and I mean no one, says no to a man like me. I’ll make him take back his words and do exactly what I asked of him."Mrs. Anderson raised an eyebrow, setting

The office fell silent after Zed those words, and Amanda just stood there glancing at him. Zed ran his fingers through his hair and let out a sigh."Is there anything you'd like me to do for you? Should we report this to the police?" Amanda asked, breaking the silence."No, Amanda. We can't involve the police when we aren't fully sure if he was the one behind what happened." Zed responded. "We'll have to keep watching. I am going to increase the security in this company. The previous guards who were on duty last night will be punished, and I will hire more. Hearing the words of Derrick, Zed bursted out in laughter. Derick watched as he laughed, and bjs face was bright red in anger."What's so funny?!" He spat, his tone laced with anger."I'm..sorry." Zed managed to mutter after having a good laugh. "So because I'm wearing a suit you assumed I went to search for a job?""Am I wrong? You are all sweaty, and you also look dirty. You don't look like someone who has a job already, and even if you do you are definitely earning peanuts." Derrick retorted while glaring at him in disdain. The reason why Zed was sweaty and dirty was because he spent all day in the company working on the car. He could easily ask his workers to do it, but with the system giving him instructions he couldn't just sit in his office. He had to be down there with them, and also work with them. Most times Zed simply tells his workers what to do while he sits in his office, but today he chose to get himself busy by working with them."Stop wasting my time! Just leave alrea

I noticed you’ve been hiding his face and name ever since that night. The deafening gunshot echoed in the sterile room. Salazar pulled the trigger without hesitation, sending a bullet tearing through the man’s left eye. Blood and brain matter splattered grotesquely across the walls and floor as the man collapsed instantly, dead before his body even hit the ground. The nurses screamed, several of them turning away and shielding their eyes, unable to bear the gruesome scene. One nurse dropped the tray she was carrying, the metallic clang lost under the chaos.Doctor Anderson, however, remained still. His face was an impassive mask, although the beads of sweat glistening on his forehead betrayed his fear. He struggled to maintain his composure, knowing any sudden movement could make him the next target. The two remaining guards panicked, their faces draining of color. Cold sweat poured down their temples, their breaths coming in shallow gasps.Without mercy, Salazar shifted his aim toward the second man. His finger tightened on the trigger again."Please..

Elsewhere in the city...Inside the largest and most prestigious hospital in the entire city — Pentagon Hospital — a man walked briskly down a wide, polished hallway. He appeared to be in his late forties, a man of commanding presence, dressed in a fitted brown suit with a matching brown top hat perched elegantly on his head. His expression was cold and sinister, the kind that sent shivers down the spines of anyone who dared to meet his gaze. He leaned slightly on a walking cane held firmly in his right hand, but his steps were purposeful, radiating dominance and lethal intent.Trailing behind him were two large men, their physiques nothing short of monstrous. Their bulky muscles strained against the fabric of their black suits, and their faces bore the hardened, emotionless expressions of men for whom human life held little to no value. They were living weapons — enforcers of violence and death. They moved forward with grim purpose, the sound of their footsteps echoing off the steril

  • Once again, I lost to that bastard

Zed exited the lounge and made his way out of the building. As he stepped outside, he noticed that the hotel, which was once lively and bustling with people, was now almost empty. Most of the guests had already left after completing their interviews, while the ones who remained were either yet to be interviewed or had already been rejected and were now lingering around, hoping to plead for a second chance — or perhaps to bribe someone after the official proceedings had ended.Zed chose not to pay attention to any of them. Without sparing a second glance, he simply walked across the wide lobby, pushed through the heavy glass doors, and made his way towards his car parked a few meters away. He pressed the unlock button on his key fob, heard the soft beep, and pulled the car door open. Just as he was about to step inside, a voice called out from behind him."I thought you had already left," the voice said.Zed turned around slowly, his expression calm and unreadable. He's here because I want to convince him to work with me."Lisa gave another respectful nod before slipping quietly out of the room to deliver the instructions.Moments later, the door opened again, and Zed Zimmerman entered the VIP lounge. His calm, assured presence filled the room instantly. Mrs. Josephine welcomed him with a radiant smile, motioning for him to take a seat opposite her at the table. She offered him a drink, which he politely declined after a short conversation, and then they swiftly moved on to the real reason for their meeting.Mrs. Josephine didn't waste time. She laid out her proposal clearly and confidently — she was willing to invest a staggering sum of $25,000,000 into Zed's company. In return, she requested a percentage of ownership, a move that would allow his firm to expand rapidly:

I won’t drag anyone else into this."Nick stared at him, disbelief and anger battling for dominance on his face. What’s wrong with this guy? he thought. Why is he so damn calm?
