Getting called to work on a saturday morning was unsual. Ofcourse,Scort knew something strange must have happened that was why he was called this morning. But Scott never thought the issue could be this great.

An object worth $3,000,000,000 missing from the CEO's office.

"The item was sitting in my office yesterday, and when i came in today to give out the item to the rightful owner,i found out it was missing." Pedro Louis explained, glancing at each and everyone of the worker's face as he spoke.

Scott shifted his gaze to Tory and he could see her fidgeting. Scott could understand why she was shivering.

The duo were the last people to exit yesterday due to them working overtime. She knew they might get blamed for the missing item since they left last.

"But boss,we all left the company at the same time. I don't understand how it got missing." One of the worker spoke up.

"Oh reall?" Pedro bluttered, shiftinf his gaze to Scott. "Everyone left, except the two cleaners."

Scott stated with a mischievious smirk.

Tory's heart raced after hearing the words Pedro spoke and sweat began to run down her face.

"So what are you insinuating? That we stole it?" Scott questioned with no trace of fear written on his face.

Pedro's blood began to boil in anger after noticing Scott wasn't panicing at all and he was still confident in his words.

"Maybe, maybe not." Pedro replied. "The surveliance camera recorded you entering into the office at 8:30 pm."

"Well, yeah,i entered the office to clean it. It's what i do,i clean, remember? That's why i got hired in the first place. To clean this whole company before and after work." Scott replied in a nonchalant tone which shocked Tory and ever workers present.

"Very well then. Do you mind explaining why the camera inside the office was turned off immediately you walked in? Were you probably doing something that you didn't want anyone to see?" Pedro asked, showing the video of last night  to Scott and the rest of the workers.

In the video,Scott walked into the camera with a bucket and mop. But immediately he walked in,the video blacked out.

"How am i suppose to know that? You should ask the head of security why the CCTV cameras were malfunctioning." Scott uttered.

"Nah,You probably took it when everyone was gone and had to mess with the cameras to cover up your tracks." Pedro voiced with a mischievious look. "And you know where else the cameras were malfunctioning? The locker room."

"Maybe this poor bastard stole it and hid it in his locker!" One of the female worker voiced out.

"Yes,he probably hid it there just to get it out quietly today!" Another worker chimed in,and soon everyone began to direct fingers towards Scott.

If Scott wasn't mistaken,he could see Tory also pushing the blames on him among the crowd.

Scott felt bad that the one he managed to call his friend turned around and stabbed him. Tory was fully aware that Scott didn't take it since they were both together the whole time.

She only did that to save her job and also not going to jail.

"You guys got it all wrong. I didn't steal anything!" Scott sounded. Scott wasn't worried about the price since 3 Billion dollars was just a drop in the bucket compared to what he had,hs was only concerned for his marriage.

If the Fernando family should hear that their Son In- Law to be stole such huge amount of money, they would call off the marriage instantly.

"Hey,you poor wretch, don't even bother denying it!" A bald headed man shouted.

"Let's just search his locker and see if it is inside. That way we will know what we will do to him!" Another man chimed in and others backed him up,including Tory.

"Very well then." Pedro replied with a smirk and began to make his way to the locker room with the workers behind him.

Scott kept praying internally that the item shouldn't be found inside his locker. He knew he didn't take it,but it was possible someone must have planted it inside to frame him for what he didn't do.

But who could it be?

Thinking about it,Scott shifted his gaze to Pedro who's busy smiling as the locker was being opened. Scott was sure that he has never seen Pedro's face in this company before even if his family owned the company.

Pedro was assigned the position of the CEO in another branch and had no business in this one. Why then would he show up and something of 3 Billion Dollars goes missing on the same say?

Scott found the whole thing fishy.

CLICK!

The locker finally unlocked and was opened to reveal the items inside. The locker was filled with Scott's work uniform, books and snacks, and a small black bag was sitting there.

"Bring down this bag." Pedro ordered, pointing towards the small bag.

Catching a glimpse of the bag,Scott was trying to figure out how it got there. He never had a bag like this, how then was it found in his locker?

"This bag?" The same annoying bald man from earlier asked.

"Yes,that bag." Pedro replied.

The bald man grabbed the bag and took it out of the locker. The man could feel the weight and was sure something valuable was inside.

"What's inside this bag?" Pedro asked, glancing at Scott. Scott on the other hand had no idea who owned the bag or what was inside.

"I have no idea. I have never seen it before in my life." Scott replied with a confused expression.

"Open the bag let me see what is inside." Pedro ordered,a smirk evident on his facr as he watched the bald man unzip the bag and the item inside was slowly becoming visible.

"Well well, what do we have here." Pedro sounded, taking out a small box from the bag. "The same item that went missing was found inside the locker of Scott Carden. Care to explain?" Pedro demanded.

  • Perez!

The duo ran as fast as they could until they arrived in front of a door near the inventory section. Perez pulled it open, and as they stepped inside, the guards behind them opened fire. But none of the bullets found their mark. Instead, they pierced the walls and the doorframe, leaving small holes in the metal and splintered wood. The room they had entered was vast and hollow, filled with tall, empty wooden shelves. The air was musty and thick with dust. The room was dimly lit—its only source of illumination being a single, flickering bulb dangling from the ceiling. Every few seconds, the bulb would malfunction and plunge the space into complete darkness before sparking back to life with an ominous buzz.Their breathing was heavy. Hearts pounded in their chests as cold sweat trickled down their brows. Both scanned the room with wide, frantic eyes.“Where is this place?” Blake asked, his voice barely above a whisper.“It used to be a storage room,” Perez replied as he slowly advanced.

  • Dead wrong

“What have you done?” Perez blurted out, his voice sharp and alarmed, eyes narrowing as they locked onto the prison officer who had just finished calling reinforcements through his radio. His entire body tensed, every muscle coiled like a spring. The officer returned his glare without a hint of concern. His voice was icy and deliberate.“I just called my fellow comrades,” he said calmly, the radio still crackling faintly in his hand. “They’re all on their way here now.” He took a slow step forward, his gaze unwavering. “No one escapes this place… not alive, anyway.”A chill ran down Perez’s spine. He spun toward Blake, who stood a few paces behind him, still processing the unfolding chaos.“We have to get out of here. Right now.” His tone was firm and commanding—there was no room for debate.Behind them, the officer cracked his neck with a sickening pop, his face hardening. He clenched his fists, the tension in his knuckles audible.“Not on my watch,” he growled. “You’re going nowhere

  • Locked and Loaded

The duo moved further into the room and halted in front of the massive table positioned at the center—an arsenal laid out before them, packed with firearms and ammunition of various types.Perez stepped forward first, reaching for a compact Mini Uzi. He expertly ejected the empty magazine, allowing it to clatter onto the floor, before sliding a fully loaded one into the weapon with a sharp click. He tucked the Uzi into his left pocket and turned to the next weapon—this time, a UMP submachine gun. With the same practiced ease, he removed the spent mag and replaced it with a fresh, full one. Slinging the weapon over his shoulder, Perez didn’t stop there. He grabbed several extra magazines, stuffing them into his pockets as backup, just in case a reload became necessary during a gunfight.Blake, standing beside him, was also deep in selection. He reached out and grabbed an MP5 submachine gun, verifying its load before slinging it over his shoulder. Next, he chose a long-range rifle, expe

“Understood, sir. We’ll head out immediately,” he replied sharply, lowering the radio with a crisp motion.A tense silence hung in the room like a thick fog. Then, without wasting another second, Matt turned on his heel and strode purposefully toward the exit door. The rest of the guards exchanged brief looks before falling into formation behind him. Together, they exited the cafeteria with focused determination, each man stepping in rhythm with the urgency of the command.Perez and Blake remained seated, their eyes tracking the departing guards. As the last officer vanished through the doorway, Perez leaned slightly toward Blake and murmured, his voice no more than a whisper.“Told you. Once they all leave, we move. You heard the guy on the radio. Almost all available guards have been summoned to the market square... which means the only ones left behind are stragglers. Leftovers. Shouldn’t be hard for us to take them out and get the hell out of here.”He spoke calmly, but with a qui

  • Perez unleashed

He lunged forward, swinging a heavy fist toward Perez’s face. But Perez was faster. He ducked beneath the wild punch and retaliated with a brutal strike to Duncan’s gut. The tattooed man grunted, doubling over in pain—WHAM!—just as Perez followed up with a devastating uppercut that landed with a crack loud enough to resemble a gunshot.Duncan collapsed.Flat on his back. Out cold. The entire cafeteria gasped.A sharp, collective silence swallowed the room.Everyone froze, stunned by what had just unfolded before their eyes. Dozens of eyes turned in unison, fixated on Perez, as if trying to comprehend what had just happened. The men who had stood beside Duncan moments earlier instinctively took several steps back, their faces plastered with disbelief and confusion. None of them had expected their leader—a man known for his brute strength—to go down after a single combination. It wasn’t just surprising. It was terrifying. But now wasn’t the time to act like cowards. They knew Duncan.Th

  • Silence the witness

The eyes of Mr. Fernando shot open as he rose to his feet the moment the call disconnected. Blood still dripped from the fresh cut on his cheek, but he showed no sign of discomfort. Calmly, he reached into his coat pocket, pulled out a white handkerchief, and dabbed at the crimson smear, cleaning it away with deliberate strokes. From the shadows behind the pillar, Bolasco also emerged, his boots echoing faintly against the concrete floor as he stepped forward."Well," Felipe began, his voice strained and laced with a twisted sense of hope, "she said she won’t be coming here. Instead, she’ll send her address, and I’ll bring you to her."He smiled faintly, nervously. "You can go over to the address she sends... give her a surprise attack.""Yes, kid," Mr. Fernando replied with a low, predatory grin. "That’s exactly what we’re going to do."Ding!A soft chime echoed through the dimly lit warehouse, its eerie tone bouncing off the rusted walls. Felipe turned his head sharply toward the s
