Chapter 2: Cheating girlfriend

She wasn't just saying it, she mean it, she was serious. For the last three years, her life was resolved around the hospital, she was living in this hospital, never getting to go out, not being able to do what she loves or liked, her life was no longer hers as if she was caged inside, and there was no hope. All this was enough for her to know she was his burden.

Jonas was shocked, his little sister, who the hell put those words in her young mind?

" Ari! I forgive you this time but never say such words again. You are my world, my one, and only family, the one I love the most, my baby. I can give up on the whole world, but not you ", Jonas was slightly angry and tough with his words when he spoke. It was clear how much those words of hers hurt him. But also trying to tell her to never say or think like that.

Ari couldn't bear it anymore and ended up crying before him, it was heart-wrenching for her.

" You have been working hard day and night for the last four years, just to collect money for my medication and hospital bills, I can't see you suffer anymore. If I die, you won't have to worry or suffer anymore. So consider it ", Said Ari with a heavy heart while holding back her tears which were difficult to control as tears were rolling down without consent.

No doubt she was a strong girl, but in front of him, she was just his baby girl, his sister.

Jonas could feel what she must be going through right now, he cupped her face and made her look into his face.

" Listen, you are not my burden, you are my sister. And I cannot give up on you. No matter how hard I have to work, if you can get better and there's even a slight hope, I will do anything and it's given ", Jonas tries to convince her through his words.

She was his sister, the dearest of his life. Even if he has to give up his life if he can save her, his life is nothing.

Ari has always been a weak child, but she was never sick, this only happened four years ago when she suddenly collapse and got diagnosed with the rarest illness after hitting her head and stomach on a tree.

Jonas was upset and sad a moment ago, but now that he talked with his sister, his mood was lightened and brighten. When with her, his world lightens up, and all evil and worse things disappear.

" Your brother already has a girlfriend, and I know that she will be my wife in the future ", Said Jonas as a smile appeared on his face, he was blushing and thinking of someone.

When Jonas mentioned Demi, Ari's face darkened. There wasn't jealousy or anything on her face, she was just upset at the mention of her.

" Brother! Be aware of that woman, she isn't a good person. She is...she is playing with your feelings, why don't you understand? ", Ari was desperate to separate his brother from Demi.

" Ari! You shouldn't speak ill about other people. She is such a gentle and beautiful woman with kind nature, why do you hate her so much? ", Jonas questioned.

Ari was always a sweetheart, never talking behind anyone's back or speaking ill of them. But this was a different case when bringing Demi. Ari always pulls up her guard around Demi or at her mention.

" She isn't kind, she is the devil in saint's disguise. You love her so much, that you don't see her true colors. But I can clearly see how evil she is just by one look ", Said Ari, Jonas hearing her patiently.

" Ari! You don't have any proof against her, words alone are not enough to blame or frame someone innocent...", He was still in the middle of the conversation when...

Suddenly his phone started vibrating. " Wait a minute...".

" Hey! Why are you calling me at this hour? ", He questioned.

" Bro! Did you see the picture I sent you? If not, you must see it, right now ", Said someone from the other side of the phone with urgency and an assertive tone.

" Photo? What kind of photo? What did you send me? ".

" Oh brother, can you stop asking and just view the picture I sent? I don't have the whole day for you, just hurry up and look ", Johny was so done with his friend that he already wanted to hang up on his damn face, but he still held his patience high waiting for him.

Jonas had no idea what Johny sent him. He opened the messenger app and view their conversation where some texts were unread. When he opened the conversation, his eyes popped up when he saw the pictures.

" Where did you get these pictures? ", Jonas asked.

He was trying to be calm and rational. The pictures were on point and showed the reality, it was just Jonas having difficulty believing.

" I got them fresh from the source. Remember I told you my sister is staying at the hotel and I need to visit her. I just went there and saw your girl with someone else. If you don't believe me, just come to the hotel and you will know everything ", Johny wanted to clear everything between Jonas and his girlfriend.

Jonas was already tired of everything, and just when he got little strength, his world was shaken up again.

" You focus on your work, I will handle everything on my own ", Said Jonas rubbing his eyes.

Ari sensed something was wrong with his brother, but since it was an adult matter, she didn't want to meddle.

" Alright! Cheer up and clear everything up already, that woman doesn't deserve you ", Said Jonhy and hung up.

Jonas also got and look at his sister. " Ari, I have to go now. Get some rest and listen to the doctor. Have your medicine and you are not allowed to bribe anyone to bring you food from outside, I will get mad ".

Ari stuck out her tongue and giggle playfully. " You should go now, I will take care of myself ".

Jonas went to the hotel straight, to catch the adultery couple red-handed on the spot. He knows he should trust his girlfriend and shouldn't believe anything out of the context. But the photos were far from a lie, there was an absolute truth inside.

After arriving at the hotel, he started banging on the door nonstop, and when the door clicked open, his whole world started cracking. There was land beneath his feet but at that moment, he felt like he was falling.

Demi was shocked to see Jonas there. " Jonas? Why...why are you here? ", She asked.

The shock was written all over her face. Right now, she was in her undergarments, bite marks all over her body as she was in a disheveled state. And then a man came from behind and hugged her tightly, placing kisses on her neck and back.

" Babe! I can't get enough of you. How about the fourth round? ".

Jonas's felt his heart breaking into countless pieces. His mind was becoming hazy seeing his girlfriend with another man. His world was turned upside down in seconds. Still, he thought maybe it was just a misunderstanding.

" Demi! Explain. I don't care what you gonna say, just say it's not true. Tell me there's nothing between you two, and I will believe. Say it ", Jonas stood there like a puppy who was betrayed by his owner and waiting for him to return and explain why he left her. He awaits her answer.

Demi was a little guilty all this time but no more. She looked straight into his eyes and spoke. " You are not wrong, I am indeed cheating on you. But it's not my fault, it's you who forced me into doing this shit. If only you were rich and had no sick sister, I wouldn't have affair with someone else ", Demi admitted everything, there was no sense of shame in her eyes. If anything, there was pain.

" Don't...dont bring my sister into the matter ".

" Why can't I when she's everywhere? You are the first brother I have seen who's so blind for his sister. She is sick to the core, why don't you just let her die? ".

The moment Demi spoke those words, Jonas gave her a slap across the cheek.
