Chapter 7

   Immediately after he was done packing his belongings, he left the delivery company angrily. What even made him angry the more was that someone was behind him getting fired by his manager and he wants revenge desperately.

" No! I must have my revenge on the person behind this" he said to himself angrily.

" But, what could I have done to the person behind this," he asked himself, it was not like I offended anyone cause I have nothing against anyone. But, that was not a problem, to him,m it was just a matter of time before he get his revenge.

   Just then, he decided to contact Cara so he could ask if it was possible to choose the kind of company he wants as an inheritance and if possible, he would want a delivery company as an inheritance to prove himself as a person good in his business cause he desperately wants to get his revenge.

" Hello" Cara answered over the phone.

" Yes, Cara it's me, Shadrach"

" Yeah, Shadrach. What do I owe for this call?" She asked.

" Nothing, it's just that something has been bothering me for a while and I just want to ask you some questions. And I don't know if am free to ask" he answered

" Sure, you are free to ask me any question" she answered freely.

" Am sorry for bothering you by this time of the day" he pleaded.

" No, it's fine you are free to call me at any time" she answered with a cool voice.

" You remember telling me that, I would inherit a company to prove myself as someone good in this business," he asked.

" Yeah, how could I not remember" she chuckled.

" Yeah, I know you would. I would just like to know if it was possible to choose the company I want as an inheritance" He asked.

" Yeah sure, you can choose any. But, which company do you have in mind?" She asked.

" I want to be the CEO of a delivery company" he answered sharply.

" Delivery company," she said sharply.

Just then, she began to laugh. She laughed uncontrollably but Shadrach kept mute. The tension between her and Shadrach made her stop laughing because she could sense that Shadrach was being serious. She then asked him.

" Are you for real, or are you joking?" She asked.

" Yes I am and am not joking" he answered.

" You want to be the CEO of a delivery cafe?" She asked.

" Yes," he replied sharply.

" But........ Ok, have you thought over it?" She asked.

" Yes, and have made my decision about it. I want to be the CEO of a delivery company" he answered.

She then thought and agreed. Agreeing with his words, she then answered him.

" Fine, but which delivery company in particular?" She asked.

" The delivery company where I work" he answered.

" Seriously, are you doing real, where do you work" she exclaimed.

" Yeah, the one I work for" he answered. Without even thinking of his reply it was like he had already downloaded all his replies.

" Wouldn't that be a little awkward cause it.." she said

He didn't allow her to finish talking but just interrupted.

" Don't worry about me, I would just do fine' he said smiling over the phone.

She had no choice but to agree to his words.

" Fine, in thirty minutes the delivery company would be bought," she answered. Immediately she ended the call.

   Shadrach sat in front of the delivery company laughing. He could not stop thinking about his new life. It has always been his long-time dream of being a CEO of a company and his long-time dream is finally coming through. But, it was still for him hard to believe because he would be the CEO of those who treated him badly, especially his manager. Now, very soon, he would be their CEO. He sat down at the front of the delivery company gate as he continued to think of his new life.

He was still busy thinking of his new life, just then, after about thirty minutes, he began to see that some people were rushing out of the delivery company and they were rushing in the direction of the gate as if something for chasing them. Not just people who had no rank at the cafe but it was the top management of the delivery company that was rushing out of the company according to their rank alongside his manager who was trying to run faster but could not run faster because of his weight. The manager who fired him was at the end of the group because he was just a common manager. He even had no qualifications standing together with the president of the company. He was still wondering what was going on, just then, he remembered that Cara promised him that within thirty minutes, the delivery company would be bought and it was a custom, for the top management to wait at the gate before the CEO arrives to welcome him. He then smiled to himself.

" Finally, things are going as planned," he said to himself still smiling. The position he had hoped for is finally going to be his and this time around he won't be a delivery man at the delivery company but the CEO of the delivery company.

  Immediately Shadrach saw them getting closer he quickly sat down back in front of the delivery company gate. When they got to the gate, they saw Shadrach sitting in front of the gate, they were surprised to see him there. Nobody among the top management recognizes him except the manager who was adjusting his clothes. The president who was surprised seeing him sitting there decided to ask him who he was.

"Who are you, and who is to my underlings? The president asked in surprise.

As he was about to answer, the manager looked up and immediately he saw him, his face changed and he shouted at him.

" Why you still haven't left?" He fired at him.
