Two Worlds

A solution?

“It's fine, just get dressed, I will wait outside so when you are done just yell my name okay?”

“Why are you going to wait outside?”

“Nothing Alex, just get dressed.” She said and he nodded, she walked out and waited for him.

She sighed and looked at the hallway, she stared at the chandeliers and paintings. They all look so expensive and it's obvious he is from a wealthy home but why will they abandon him.

“Alexia.” She heard Alex call and it snapped her out of her thoughts, she walked in and smiled at him because he finally did something himself.

“Come.” She smiled and pulled him to the dressing table, he sat down in front of the mirror and she brushed his hair till it was smooth.

“So, about the haircut, you...” She trailed off seeing he is starting to frown.

“Sorry.” She muttered and packed his hair, he looked cute and she smiled at him.

“Is this how I look like?” He asked as he stared at the mirror.

“Yes.”

“What is this thing showing my face?”

“It's a mirror.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah, let's go downstairs now.” She said and pulled him up, they both walked downstairs and Alexia found the kitchen.

She cleaned it and sighed in relief when it looked okay again.

“Okay, let's get this started.” She said and arranged everything she bought in front of him.

“So Alex, if you are hungry for a quick snack, these are chips you can eat, I bought three bags of them okay?” She explained and he nodded.

“I am hungry now, can I eat it?”

“Yeah, sure.” She replied and gave it to him.

He tried opening it but couldn't, Alexia watched him as he struggled to open it, he was beginning to get angry and she kept on watching him.

Why do little things trigger his anger?

“Ah!” He yelled and threw it at the wall, he walked to the wall and punched it repeatedly.

“Okay, that explains all the cracks in the walls.” Alexia said and smiled.

She kept watching him till he burst into tears and held his hair.

“Am a monster.” He cried and she sighed, she walked to him and picked up the bag of chips. She opened it and gave it to him.

“Am a monster.” He cried and ate the chips.

“Ugh, you are so dramatic.” Alexia giggled and creased his hair.

“You are so cute.” She laughed and he smiled.

“So, I have to go now.” Alexia said as he ate his meal.

“What? Why? I didn't touch you.”

“I know but it's that time I have to go to my house.”

“Oh, okay. Should I count one to three thousand again?”

“Yeah, sure.”

“Bye Alexia.”

“Bye Alex.”

She walked out of the mansion and headed to the back door, she paused when she saw her friends waiting there.

“I thought you were grounded for a week.” Chloe said and she scoffed.

“What do you guys want? You have gotten me punished so what again?”

“We want to go in, take us in there.” Nicki said.

“Oh really? The door is opened. You can go in and see what is inside, I hope you come out alive.” She said with a smile and walked away.

Alexia checked her wristwatch and realized her mother will be home soon but she had something she wants to do. She rushed to a neighborhood friend’s house and knocked on his door.

“Alexia.” He called with a smile immediately he opened the door.

“Hey Daniel, can I use your computer? I want to check something.”

“Sure, come in.”

She walked in and he smiled at her.

“Before you use the computer, can I see your hair?”

“Oh, sure.” She replied and loosen the scarf, the hair fell to her butt and he smiled.

“You can use it now.” He giggled and she smiled, she packed her hair back and walked to the computer. She turned it on and started her research.

She was finally done with the computer and she ran till she got home because of her mother, she entered through her window and sighed in relief.

She hurriedly wore her houseware and slept on the bed, she sighed and thought of a way to help Alex.

Alexia snuck out of the house and headed to a workshop along the street.

She looked around for what she needed and smiled, she bought a very tight hand band and a teaser.

She got to Alex’s mansion and walked in.

“Alex, am here.” She yelled and dropped her bag and brought out what she bought.

“Alexia.” He called happily running from the stairs and Alexia screamed seeing him. He was naked and covered in soap.

“What are you doing?” She screamed and turned around.

“You called me, Alexia did you know that soaps can make a room and you can take your bath in a room?”

“What?” Alexia asked and turned to him.

“There is soap in my room and am bathing in there.” He giggled and Alexia rushed upstairs to see the hallway filled with water.

“Jeez.” She groaned and she got to his room to see it filled with soapy water.

“Is something wrong?” Alex asked behind her and she sighed.

“How did this happen?”

“Oh, you didn't teach me how to turn off the water so I left it and it kept getting much.” He said and Alexia walked to the bathroom and turned off the water.

She showed him how to turn it off and he nodded, he washed the soap off his body and wore a different cloth.

Alexia sighed and started cleaning up the mess.

AN HOUR LATER

“Great, let's start today's lesson,” Alexia said and pulled him to the floor, they both sat down and she placed the items between them.

“Okay Alex, this is a teaser and this is a very tight band.”

“Okay.”

“According to research you are not a monster, you have Bipolar Disorder.”

“What is Bipolar Disorder?” He asked and she smiled.

“Okay, I will explain it in a way you can understand, it's like being stuck in between two worlds, one part is being angry, sad, depressed, crazy and another part is being happy and normal.”

“Are you saying am crazy?” He asked angrily and she sighed.

“See? You are getting angry, you are stuck in two worlds.”

“Oh.”

“It can be caused by a traumatic experience, addiction to drugs, and some people just tend to have it naturally, like you.”

“How will I be able to be in the normal world?”

“Well, there are a therapist and mental institutions but I can't afford that and since you have no one to help you, I came up with my own idea.”

“What is it?” He asked and she held his hand and forced the band into it.

“It's so tight.”

“Yeah, I know.”

“Alex, anytime you feel angry or you feel like hurting someone just pull this band and let go, like this.” She said and pulled the band.

“Ah.” He yelled in a pin and she smiled.

“It hurts, take it off.”

“No, that is how others feel when you hurt them.”

“Was that how you felt?”

“Am sorry.” He said and she nodded.

“It's fine and if this band doesn't work, you turn this on and use it on yourself.” She said and picked the teaser, she turned it on and used it on him.

“Ah.” He yelled in pain and cried.

“Am sorry, am so sorry.” He cried and she smiled.
