The lively hall now became a mess of yells and smoke as soon as Xenon left, he coughed hard and people dropped down like sack bags to the floor which made fear crawl at Xenon's skin. He winced in horror and turned to stare at the man who saved him.

"Who are you?" He asked him, still coughing as he had inhaled part of the smoke Into his lungs before he could get out.

"I'm Alfredo."

"How do you know me Alfredo and what is my business with these men who want me dead?" Xenon asked in confusion and he sighed.

"You shook the whole city with your powers causing a great need and hunger thereby causing a threat for Draco. I was specially assigned to protect you because of the ring. It gave us insight and we are connected since I belong to the Descendants of Viscaria."

He explained to Xenon who still looked as confused as ever.

"My grandmother told me that the ring would make me great and powerful, how is that supposed to happen? Since you happen to be from Viscaria, you should know a lot about this ring."

"Well," Alfredo sighed and nodded at him.

"She was right, the ring would make you very powerful and can also destroy you if you're careful with its powers."

"Mind explaining?" He asked him again, so engrossed in the conversation without noticing his destination.

"I can't tell you everything this night Xenon, it would be one step and lesson at a time because if you don't learn, you won't be aware of the bad effects."

Xenon sighed and shook his head.

"You might leave, I don't even know those memes or my way around yet. Please tell me one effect let me know."

He pleaded and Alfredo twitched his lips.

"I'll take you to a party this night, you will know from there. And no, I'm not going anywhere because I'm specially assigned to you till further notice." Alfredo told him and Xenon felt relieved. The fact that he was going to have a companion made him forget about Natalie's heart-wrenching treatment for a while and looked forward to this party.

"Let's go to my house then, I need to change up." He told him and they both went to where his house was located, passing the lonely street of Venice till he went to the compound.

He went further to where his apartment was and discovered that it was locked with a big Padlock which left him surprised.

He looked around to check out for anyone but everywhere looked dry.

"Anything Wrong?" Alfredo asked him and he bit his lips hard painfully and shook his head. He didn't want to tell him that his landlord might have locked his door despite not owing. He had used his savings to pay half of the rent when his grandmother was still alive.

"Just wait a minute, I'll be back." He told him and went towards the direction of where his neighbors were staying and rang on the first apartment door.

"What are you doing here?" The lady sneered at him, shocked to see him after months.

"Hi Poppy, have you seen Mr Casino? I need to know why my apartment is locked outside "

Xenon asked him and the lady scoffed loudly at him.

"What has Mr Casino got to do with your locked apartment?"She asked him, batting her eyelids disgusting at him but he didn't care at the moment. He was already used to their bullying and treatment and what made him avoid them was the fact that he wasn't always around.

"He's the only one that has the right to lock the place, please can I have his number?" He asked her desperately even though he knew that the possibility was minimal. Poppy would rather lick the floor than listen to him and the fact that she was the first person she met disturbed him. She won't say the truth as the Landlord and her were fuck buddies.

"I don't have his number besides, he said you were owning him." She told him and Xenon gasped.

"And that apartment now belongs to someone else! You can take a look at your properties outside the gate." She told him and his ears rang hot in fury at the last statement.

"Why would he–" She slammed the door shut before she could finish his statement and Xenon fisted his hands. He became so angry that he could feel the glow in his eyes.

He didn't have his landlord's number and this means that he might miss this party and even sleep outside.

He went back to meet Alfredo looking defeated and rejected and felt so embarrassed to utterer a word.

"I..uhm–My landlord locked my apartment but I'll reach out to him and get it unfailing."

He says and Alfredo nods, checking his wristwatch.

"We need to go to the party immediately."

Xenon gasped at him.

"But I can't go like this, it's so off."

"It doesn't matter, if we don't get there in the next thirty minutes, they will shut the gate and we won't have access to witness the party. This isn't just an ordinary party, so let's hurry."

Aldero explained to him and Xenon forgot about his attire as curiosity ate him up on finding out about this strange party.
