The repeated night routine made the girls at home restless.

Marcus coming home with a strong scent of a stranger.

A woman's stench that felt like a mark

"Mom, shouldn't we do something?"

Alyannah said while crossing her arms.

She was irritated everytime that scent would cling onto her brother's skin.

Lucy couldn't say anything her slender fingers tapping into the mahogany table.

The quiet office was now filled with murmurs of their escalating emotions towards Marcus.

Their desire mask by pretense they didn't dare address.

"We should wait, I am sure this is just a past time he found funy"

Lucy sound confident but her hand hand a slight tremor as she picked up her tea cup.

"You will see, our Marcus will come back to us"

Her eyes gleam, a red blazing hunger that couldn't be conceal.

Several nights came with no improvement.

It was still the painful smell that stirred three twisted minds.

Finally the first string finally snap.

Cassie never imagined she would follow her own brother.

"I am only doing this to make sure he is safe"

She deluded herself.

"I really shouldn't be here"

Yet there she was.

Standing across the street from one of the city's busiest nightclubs.

"Did my brother really came here?"

She was bewildered, in her eyes Marcus was always the kind and reliable brother.

That is why she could not believe she would see a place full of people making out.

One room even have a group people all naked and someone even hanging in the air.

She was shook she never knew someone could bend the way she saw those people move.

"This....was Marcus into this things?"

She walked but every step made her cold heart beat erratically.

Every moan, every clapping sound, it send shivers from her lower abdomen to her trembling legs.

A crimson light blared into her eyes, it was filled thirst.

Despite the heat pressing into her rationality she tried resisting.

She was about to leave when she passed by another room, its door was slightly ajar.

Inside a moan began creeping into her will.

~Big...brother....hmmm~

That sensus voice was something never expected, her trembling pupils darted at the source.

Only to see two bodies hot for each other.

~....grip me more...~

In a flash the figure intertwined slowly morphed into two figures.

~..Cass...look at me~

A body she was well familiar with began touching places lower and lower to quench her desires.

She heard her own voice muttering along, a hot grip tightened around her waist.

~... Marcus....~

As the heat turn into a wicked fire that slowly consume her-

*Pang!*

She slapped herself, caught in the middle of a fantasy that made her shiver in shame and ecstasy.

"I really shouldn't come here"

She turn to finally but then another door swung open this time she finally heard the voice she had been wanting to hear.

She watched from the gap, Marcus laugh with a group of people before a beautiful young woman stepped closer.

Her eyes winded in surprise.

Marcus never let anyone aside from them to get close to him, yet this person was closing the distance that supposed to belong to only her and family.

"Can't he notice they are too close"

She glared, the woman rested a hand on his waist as she whispered something into his ear.

Her breath suddenly hitched but more than that his next move made her pale.

Marcus laughed.

And to her agony his fingers ran across her back.

Cassie's gaze narrowed as the woman is Marcus arms, she hummed and nozzed into his neck.

Marcus welcome her every touch soothing her every whim like she was a spoiled child.

Their smooth interaction and intimacy grew hotter by a minute, no one would even dare stop them.

A strange feeling twisted inside Cassie's chest.

Her fingers unconsciously tightened around the strap of her bag.

Without a word dark ominous miasma began to swallow her.

Another second went by and the darkness that surrounds her devoured every trace she had.

The shadow then reappeared right into the Diliman estate.

Standing at the quiet garden a silhouette began to move erratically.

Cassie felt her eyes sting, while her heart felt like being squeezed.

Why?

Why did that bother her?

She should have been happy.

Marcus was finally making friends.

Making love to the person he wanted to.

Enjoying, experiencing life outside their home.

Exactly what he wanted.

So...

Why did she want to walk over there and pull him away?

why does she want to erase every traces she made and replace with hers.

The places she had touch, the clothes she had wrinkled, the scent she had left on him.

She want all of it burned and all be filled with hers, ands hers alone.

The thought frightened her.

She turned around and left before someone could notice her.

---

The front door opened shortly after midnight.

Marcus quietly stepped inside.

He was in a good mood, humming a tone he once heard from Natalie.

"Everything getting in place"

He said before singing another song.

He was about to head into his room before he could take another step—

Someone grabbed his wrist.

"What the—"

The next thing he knew, he was inside a room.

'What the hell is going?'

He question internally but didn't fight however yank him.

The door clicked shut behind him.

He squinted his drozzy eyes and found Cassie stood in front of it.

Her appearance look ragged, breath unsteady going up and down. Her dark skin glister while her pointy ears began trembling.

"Sis?"

He asked but she didn't answer.

Her red eyes never left him.

"...Cassie?"

This time he called her with concern.

Her face had a layer of redness visible even with the dim light.

He couldn't tell what triggered her but whatever it is, it won't be good for him.

"..cas?..."

She opened her mouth, her fangs showing, her eyes showing greed for blood.

Marcus waited for her to speak but she closed it again.

She had so many things she wanted to say.

Between breaths her thoughts began swaying.

"...haha...

'Stop going to clubs.'

"...um....haha.."

'Stop drinking.'

"..ugh....haha..."

'Stop spending time with that woman.'

She gritted her teeth for a moment suppressing her urge to pin her brother down.

'Stay home!'

The words reached her throat...

Like a sinful cravings that needed to be satisfied.

But none of them came out.

Instead, she forced herself to say what her rationality decides,

"...You're drinking too much."

Marcus blinked he could finally see his sister calming down, in his mind she must have been worried. With that assumption he couldn't help but laugh.

"So that's what this is about?"

His carefree smile only made something tighten inside her chest.

Marcus step forward drawing closer to her.

As the distance disappeared she could smell those distinct stench. The scent of alcohol that lingered around him and that an unfamiliar perfume she could only carry.

Cassie instinctively stepped closer.

Her instincts returning abruptly.

"...Who was she?"

Her voice sounded like an interrogation, he didn't feel threatened but he could feel her intent that she wanted answers.

Marcus pretended to be oblivious, he tilted his head.

"Hm?"

He prompted and Cassie reacted the way he wanted.

"The woman."

"...What woman?"

"The one from the club."

Marcus looked surprised.

"You followed me?"

He watched her expression froze.

She hadn't meant to admit it.

Marcus cornerning her to admit it made her embarrassed.

Her pointed ears began to drop, the blush began obvious. Seeing that he couldn't help but chuckled.

"I didn't know you worried about me this much."

He casually wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

"Don't overthink it."

Before Cassie could react, he gently patted her head and slipped past her.

The only sound she heard was the bedroom door clicking.

Marcus disappeared leaving Cassie standing alone.

She couldn't speak, her senses were filled with him.

"Just what is going with me"

Her hand slowly rose to where he had touched her.

Something was wrong.

Very wrong.

Yet she couldn't explain what it was.

---

The next morning...

Breakfast was unusually peaceful.

The encounter last night didn't seem happened.

Their mother smiled warmly.

She carefully put down her teacup and called.

"Marcus."

"Hm?"

"A new movie I'm starring in premieres this weekend."

She looked at him expectantly.

Her red brilliant eyes were searching for his approval.

"You always come with me. So I hope you too this time"

This time her tone left no room for argument.

However one person didn't seem to notice the shift.

He just smiled apologetically.

"Sorry, Lucy."

"I already have plans."

His communication amulet vibrated.

A name flash from the crystal making three pair of ruby eyes darkened.

Natalie.

The smile on Marcus's face appeared almost instantly.

They all saw it and Alyannah wanted to punce on that amulet bu before she could reach it.

Marcus already took it from the table.

"I'll head out first."

He grabbed his bag and hurried toward the door.

The house fell silent and the only thing you could hear is the front door closing.

A loud thud crash into the dining hall.

Jim the butler could not say a word. The other servants had already retreated to the corner, all hiding their fear as the mistress of the mansion lifted her gaze.

"Did he truly leave?"

The butler reluctantly nodded.

"I'm afraid so madam"

She beckon the servants to leave, her daughters

sensing her growing agitation also left without a word.

Only then when she is alone did Lucy lower her gaze.

She pursed her lips.

She stared at the untouched space beside Marcus's chair.

For the first time in years...

He had forgotten to kiss her goodbye before leaving.
