"What do you mean you wouldn't ditch that loser Alex Waynee for Jose Louis…a more handsome, prominent young man?"
Sandra Douglas is standing staring at Lady Karen Douglas in bewilderment, although she isn't that surprised as this wasn't the first time her cousin's wife, Iris Douglas had pulled off such a stunt.
The other day, Sandra Douglas almost ended up beating her for insulting her fiance.
"Grandma, I am not surprised that you would take Iris's side on this matter as usual." She shakes her hair in disbelief.
"So what…do you want me to take sides with you when all you have decided is to bring disdain and shame to this family by rejecting Edward Hinnbergs?"
"Do you know that you just destroyed our one opportunity of becoming more prominent… if you had married Edward Hinnberg, we would have merged both families' companies into one powerful financial conglomerate." She says as her heart heaves up and down in vexation.
She was really angry that Sandra Douglas had chosen Alex Waynee over the eldest son of the Hinnbergs.
"Grandmother stop it! You are hurting my fiancee" Alex Waynee face had anger written all over it.
"Wait! Did you just talk back and shout at Lady Karen Douglas, my grandmother… have you gone crazy?"
Douglas' voice was vehement as he rushed and threw Alex Waynee a heavy blow, but Alex was swift enough to dodge the blow and Donald Douglas crashed and fell upon Iris Douglas who was behind Alex Waynee.
Standing up in anger, he gazed at his wife who was still struggling to get up from the wreckage, looking at his white shirt, it had stains all over it from the crash.
As he rushed to deliver another blow to Alex Waynee, the other guys stepped in and blocked him, dragging him outside.
"I will make sure I get you for this… you will surely regret this action of yours. You will regret ever stepping foot into this family and raising your voice at my grandmother." His voice was vehement, his gaze was laced with venom as his feet dragged on the floor, and he was being pulled outside the venue to avoid further conflict.
"Alex! You should leave my granddaughter alone…let her marry a better man…can't you see that the two of you aren't supposed to be together."
The whole universe is against you!
As Lady Karen Douglas was still speaking, Alex Waynee pulled Sandra Douglas closer to him and they both walked out the door.
The voice of Lady Karen Douglas and Iris Douglas was very vehement as they cursed Alex Waynee.
Moments later… At havila Suites.
"Alex! We can't go in there." It costs at least two thousand bucks just for bottled water.
Sandra Douglas said as she stared at her fiance in bewilderment who was already inside the restaurant beckoning on her to come inside.
Their tables were filled with all kinds of rich foods and wine.
Sandra Douglas stared at him, her mouth agape.
"Alex my love, I know that you love to eat a lot whenever you are angry, but since last month, lady Karen Douglas had my premium card blocked because I chose you over that dweeb that calls himself Edward Hinnberg…I mean who the hell does he think he is?"
Alex Waynee gazed at her, he felt pity for her, ever since she took the bold step and went against the all-powerful Lady Karen Douglas by choosing him, it had been real hell for her.
She was demoted to a junior staff at the Douglas Global Empire, and her parents Robert and Mary had been relegated and spat on by other members of the family, now that he was a billion times richer than every family in whistling meadows, he planned to make Lady Karen Douglas and her stupid grandson, Donald Douglas and his wife grovel at his feet and he planned using his fiancée as his secret weapon.
"Hey I happened to stumble into a weirdo yesterday…he gave me this number and said that I should send my account number to it and I will be credited a huge sum of money… so I want you to try it out."
Alex Waynee said as he handed Sandra a piece of paper.
Sandra stared at him, with her fork still in her mouth. She really needed money as their house's rent had already expired, and the landlord had embarrassed her parents earlier. She and her parents were kicked out of the family mansion the day she rejected Edward Hinnberg for Alex Waynee.
"Ok!" She said her voice was mellifluous as she sent her account number to the number.
As she was punching in her account number, Alex texted Eric Raymond who was now his butler, requesting that he transfer 20 million dollars to the account number that would be sent to his number.
Ring!!!
Picking up her phone, she couldn't believe her eyes, her account had flipped from 200 bucks to 20 million dollars.
Jumping up she ran towards Alex and hugged him tightly.
"Sweetheart! It worked, and I have been credited 20 million dollars… this is mind-blowing…I can't believe this…can I send my mom's account?" She asked as she plopped into her chair, her eyes glistening with happiness.
"Um… no you can't! It's a one-time kinda stuff… it's already expired."
"Okay…now I can pay the rent and the bills."
"You don't need to worry about the bills… I already paid them in advance," he says as he gulps his wine.
Sandra Douglas stares at him in bewilderment, wondering if he was joking or drunk.
"How can a man who has no job, all he does is sit around and run errands for his fiancée mom be able to pay a bill of over thirty thousand dollars? She asked, gazing into his eyes.
"I used my savings…" he said, smiling gleefully.
Sandra Douglas still didn't believe him, staring at him she called for the bartender who came in to tell her that everything had already been paid for.
She looked at him, her mouth agape.
This isn't the man I fell for, even from the way the manager of Havila Suites was treating him was quite different.
'Something is going on here, but I just can't get my hands on it.' she thought to herself.
Ring! Ring!! Ring!!!
"Hello"
"Master Alex Wayne! Take your fiance and step out of that restaurant now!" Eric Raymond's voice was laced with fear and Alex Waynee could feel the trepidation surging all over him.
Getting up immediately, he grabbed the hands of Sandra as they made their way towards the door, his gaze darted to a familiar face, the face of a man that had caused him pain, but he just couldn't piece together where he saw the man.
He stopped in his tracks as he gazed into the eyes of the lecherous killer.
"Lets go" Sandra Douglas pulls him out the revolving door."Who the hell was that man…and why were the both of you staring at each other with so much venom in your eyes?" Her voice was tremulous, as the both of them held hands and crossed the road to enter the Douglas global empire. The building was a magnificent one, an eight-story building with a helipad that could carry two choppers. The building was meticulously constructed to match the opulent and sophisticated taste of Lady Karen Douglas. The building's architecture and interior design were a testament to her impeccable style and preference for luxury. The windows were adorned with intricate stained glass patterns and framed in ornate gold leaf, allowing natural light to stream in, casting a warm and inviting glow throughout the grand hallways. Each window was a work of art, a fusion of form and art that perfectly complemented the overall building aesthetic."Oh! "Grandma! You wouldn't be serious about letting Sandra leave the administration, right? Donald Douglas's voice is laced with fear as he paces up and down Lady Karen Douglas's office. The office was a beauty in the making, the backdrop behind Lady Karen Douglas displaying the numerous business grand awards she had won, an impressive tableau that seemed to stretch out for miles."Relax, Donald… I know what I'm doing… how did you think I was able to get Janet to ditch Alex Waynee even though your grandfather had betrothed her to Alex Waynee before his mysterious death." Her voice was hoarse as she continued to sign the files on her desk without sparing Donald Douglas a glance."Grandma, as I am talking to you she is done packing her stuff and she has already left the complex…Grandma! do something…you realize Sandra Douglas plays a crucial role in this company…removing her now that we have more competitors out there in the market…wouldn't be in our favour." His voice was reeking with trep
"Shit!"Watch where you are going…you just slipped hot coffee all over my shirt." The voice of Edward Hinnberg was laced with anger, raising his eyes, his demeanor changed immediately. His fist clenched, and he gritted his teeth, his heart heaved up and down in anger. His eyes were ablaze as he set them on the one who had ruined his presentation outfit."If it ain't you bastard!... What are you doing here…did you miss your way to the market…c'mon let me see the list of things your mother-in-law sent to go get at the market…the market is that way bastard." His voice was laced with pure hatred as though every word was dripping venom, his eyes burning with a furious intensity that could ignite a wildfire of conflict at any moment."Edward…am really sor…" Those words didn't come out of his mouth completely as Edward completely emptied the remaining coffee on his head and over his black shirt."This should teach him to look properly and not walk around without his eyes, bumping into people
Who is this man that has been stalking me? What the hell does he want from me? What does he know about my mom and dad Charles and Jessica Wayne? All this and many thoughts ran through his mind as he stared intently out the window of the 7th floor of Dex Palm palace. He had a bottle of wine and a plate of lasagna on his table. It was a cold evening, the sun was just setting beyond the horizon, casting a warm amber glow that painted the rooms in the hue of orange and gold. The rich aroma of the lasagna filled the air, blending with the fruity notes of the wine. As he took a sip of the wine and a forkful of the lasagna, he couldn't help but appreciate the simple yet comforting beauty of the moment. The Dex Palm Palace was just one of the luxury hotels Eric Raymond had secured for him today. Staring intently at his grandfather's smartphone, he thought of the best way to punish that animal that calls himself Gwen Falls. Swiping through his phone he searched for Gwen's YouTube chann
"Did you say he didn't see this message?" His voice is laced with authority as he turns her hand back to her face."Wow! That wasn't there 10 seconds ago!" She stared deeply into Alex's eyes."Alex Waynee!""I know all your secrets…I know everything you are hiding." Her voice is hypnotic."You say what now?" "I know all your secrets…I know who you truly are beneath." Her voice was hypnotic as she gazed intently into Alex Waynee's eye. Trepidation reeked all over Alex Waynee's body, beads of sweat building down his cheeks. 'How on earth did she find out who I truly was?' 'Does she truly know?' This and many thoughts ran through the mind of Alex Waynee as he stared into the eyes of Sandra Douglas, his face expressionless. "So when were you going to tell me?" She said as she sipped her wine, her eyes reeking all over Alex Waynee as though trying to suck the secret right out of him, the weight of her question hung in the air as the tension between them thickened. "Tell you wha
Waking up early due to excitement, Sandra Douglas steps into the bathroom to take her bath. Alex Waynee couldn't help but stare at her through the opaque glass door of the bathroom. He gazed as the warm water cascaded down her body like a soothing waterfall. Her laughter filled the room, a joyful melody that danced with the steam rising from the hot shower. The scent of lavender soap filled the air, intertwining the hum with her favourite song playing on the radio. With every drop of water that fell from her, Alex Waynee's dream of making Sandra Douglas his own tightens. He couldn't fathom another man having Sandra's heart and waking up to the enchanting site he just witnessed. It was a memory he would never forget, Sandra had such lovely skin.He watched as droplets of water clung to her skin, like liquid diamonds, each one a reminder of the moments they shared.Moments later…"Wish me luck, baby." It's getting pretty dark, the noise from Tripx nightclub was deafening. The thumping bass reverberated through the air, drowning out any attempt at conversation.Strobe lights cast fleets, disorienting shadows. The atmosphere was thick with the intoxicating smell of sweat and colognes."I think the bouncers should employ an armpit check at the door…here, stinks like hell." Alex Waynee's voice was loud as he twitched his nose.Everyone looked almost the same as they all had masks over their faces. The masks are an array of glittering, bizarre creations, concealing everyone's identity."Why didn't she tell you it was a mask party…how on earth are we supposed to find Donald with all this noise and dweebs twerking about almost half-naked." Alex Waynee's voice is vehement as he stares at Sandra. His face was expressionless."Well, let's split up then…we really need to find out what Donald knows about Grandpa's death." Her voice was tremulous. The club was filled up, finding Donald Douglas
