Chapter 2 : UnEd & Affa

From the moment that Ai whatever thing pops up, I know deep in my heart that,

'I don't like him.'

It's not because it wears my appearance or anything. It is just because, the way he acts and talks is somehow, not to my liking.

"haa* whatever, now explain... why am I here??"

(well, because this body is the only one suitable to hold the UnEd soul.)

"no- in the first place why am I-"

(Sir, you do hear a message before you fainted in your world before, right?)

That's it. That cheeky way of talking and how he cut my words in the middle. Just how can I like this dude with the way he acts?

He's the type of person that asks for a beating. In the first place, he isn't even a person.

'Should I try to slap him?'

is what playing in my mind a few times but I endure it quite well. If not, he might already be in danger a few times from my temper.

"I did... but so what?"

That Affa guy then rolled his eyes before wearing a such annoyed expression on his face as he answer,

(Can't you get it? you already die in your world!! so the only thing that Universe could do to save you is send you into another person's body!!)

"i get it... but why would the 'universe' want to save me!!?? because I'm the UnEd Soul? that's it??"

That just sounds unreasonable to me. What's so special about this UnEd soul to the point that the Universe itself moves to save it?

"do the world collapse just because I'm gone!? hah!!?? is that it??"

Remark me sarcastically, although I already know that it's impossible. But that guy Affa, he who doesn't know that I just say it out of annoyance, suddenly laughs at me. Like true disbelief in my statement.

(pfftt* who do you think you're?? a god?? why would the world collapse-)

And that's really the beginning of it.

The beginning of my snap and asura mode.

flick*

(ouch!!! why would you flick my head!!??-)

As an asura, I decide to punish him with a rainy finger flick.

flick*

(ahh* why-)

flick*

(wai-)

flick*

(no please... why would you do that to me??)

My finger then stops with that teary questioning plead. I stare at him for a long time with a cold stare before replying,

"As the owner of UnEd soul... I just did what I suppose to do."

(What that's supposed to mean!?)

"well... even if you ask me, you should know better, right?)

(hel-upp)

This time before he went and says something bad to me, Affa quickly restrain himself just in time I was about to launch my ultimate finger flick move.

"tsk- you stop so fast... why not keep talking so that I could enjoy this a little longer?"

('the hell with this guy. He's insane!!)

That is what Affa thought, even so, this move of him is a little stupid.

"you do know that the system displays your curse thought to me, right?"

State me while pointing my finger towards the screen that displays above his head. At that display, all his thoughts towards me were already spoiled.

(hiekk!!!*)

Affa lets out a shrieking voice, surprised by what was written on his head. He didn't know that the system will betray him this way.

(how could you do this to me, system!!!??-)

but I didn't care and just went and flick his head once again. And the system even smug at him.

[( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)]

Seem like they enjoy his suffering.

(ouch!!! ahhhh* stop please...)

He begs me once again. More like a whine to me.

"depends on your behaviour... get it? if not, i'm not gonna just let it end with just a flick, understand?"

(...I get it okay? haa* ... what now??)

Ask him, suddenly confused about what to say more after all the punishment he received.

"well... explain about before."

haa*

Affa sighed at my persistence. Yet i ignore it.

(Even if you ask me... I am also not sure about it... it was something that always happen involving UnEd soul. I as a guide and even the system themselves, do not know much. When the Universe commend, we could only follow.)

He then shrugs his shoulder as a gesture of 'don't know'. Even the system above his head shows the emoticon of a shrug.

[¯\_(ツ)_/¯]

I stare at them both in silence.

"...."

There's no need for me to further prey on it as I already know that their words don't seem to be a lie. Perhaps it was true that their higher-ups were hiding it from them. As I myself am aware of what it's like to live as just a worker below.

"Alright... whatever... now let's talk about something else."

Affa's expression then changes drastically from my words.

(yes, just ask me anything, sir!!!)

He looks excited to change the topic. Perhaps he worried that I will finger-flick him once again.

"first of all, you say before that you're a tutorial guide or Ai something... As far as I know, if we're talking about the tutorial, isn't it like the one in the game? The one that is given to players who play for the first time?"

(Exactly, sir. I will guide you until what is needed before disappearing.)

"then... if you disappear....will this like a game system, disappear too?"

Affa then shakes his head a few times before replying,

(No. It will stay with sir until sir level-up to the max and finish the quest!!!)

‘until max level…??’

If I’m not mistaken if we talking about level, some games required 999 levels to say a max. So what about this system then?

“what level is max?”

(level 100 is the max, sir. In this world including your last world, no one can go beyond 100. No, the limit of humans is 99 only.)

The more I listen to Affa, the more I like the way he talks now.

“wait… then why am I 100?”

(because sir is the holder of UnEd Soul. So please don’t expect sir to be the same.)

‘the hell… what that got to do with-’

(Universal is vast. If we drop humans among the universal, they will look like a drop from the ocean. So nothing can compare between sir and human.)

Then if we take that as the logic. Isn’t that mean, the gap between that one level from 99 to 100 is so big, even though it seems small?

“It's really just beyond my imagination how amazing you make it sound like.”

(because sir soul was indeed that amazing.)

“haa* alright alright… whatever. Now… just what exactly tutorial are you talking about?"

(Tutorial is when I will explain to you a few things regarding the system.)

"i get that, I just want you to guide me now?"

(Before that, sir... I think you will need to see something else first.)

"something else? what is it?"

I tilted my head, questioning his words. Affa then smirks mischievously.

(your perk as UnEd soul's owner.)

"perk?"

'is it like a beginner gift stuff or what?'

(hehehe* The host can’t wait to see it any longer too, right?)

“just why are you looking so smug?”

(let’s open the perk!!)

“wait I’m not ready-”

Ding*

[the perk will now open]

  • Chapter 28 : Element

The students disperse, exchanging furtive glances as Damish's lackey shoots us a final glare before ushering Damish to leave. However, Damish remains rooted in place, gazing intently at us, deep in thought. Liara, still visibly shaken, meets my eyes with a blend of gratitude and uncertainty. "Thank you, sir," she murmurs, her voice barely audible. Disregarding Damish, I approach Liara and give her a nod. "Focus on your training. Don't let their petty behavior distract you. You have every right to be here, just like anyone else." "Yes, sir. Of course." "If you need assistance with your abilities, feel free to ask." "Um, sir, can I ask you a few things?" "What is it?" "It's about elements. You see, my element is lightning, and my awakening power is a lightning bolt. There are others with the same element, but it seems there's a limitation in using our powers. Why is that?" It's a question I once had when I first arrived here. In all honesty, awakening powers in this world diffe

My gaze shifts from them to the girl, who is nervously fidgeting with her staff. I decide to address her directly."What's your name?" I inquire calmly."Um, it's Liara, sir," she responds, still visibly shaken."Liara, do you understand how to control your abilities?" I ask.She nods hesitantly."Yes, sir. I've been practicing, but at times, it becomes challenging to control. Even so, today, I genuinely didn't cause anything that—""Stop trying to make excuses! Haven't you already admitted that you're not yet proficient with your power? You almost killed us today!" One of the young master's lackeys interjects, attempting to paint Liara as more guilty. Liara quickly retorts, "No! I didn't do it! You're lying—""Hah, what the heck are you saying? Everyone here saw you. Isn't that right, everyone?"However, when this happens, the lackey swiftly argues, rallying everyone watching to support their narrative. Thus, other students who were incited by him quickly follow his example and agree

  • Chapter 26 : Responsibilities

"He must be fatigued."(tired?)"You see, Affa, I'm not sure about your age, but do you know how old Meor is?"(around 75 this year?)"What's with the question? Anyway, someone at that age is usually referred to as a grandfather and may have grandchildren."(but you don't-"Flick*(argh-૮₍ ˃ ⤙ ˂ ₎ა)"Not only that, our bones at that age are not what they used to be. Even though I know he's awakened, it doesn't change the fact that we're getting older."Moreover, Meor was a commander. How many years had he been on the battlefield? What kind of experiences has he gone through? No one knows that as well as he does. No matter how powerful a person may be, if they have to endure all those challenges for years, they will surely grow weary of it."Tired. It's not just physically but also mentally. That guy just wants to rest now, just like me. However, how absurd and frustrating it must be for him to be forced by the emperor to work again. Though it's not the same job as he used to do, it wo

  • Chapter 25 : Monday

The next day arrives, and I complete all my tasks for the day before heading to the principal's office, as Gina had instructed me to do. Upon reaching the office, I hear voices inside, indicating that the principal is in a discussion. I debate whether to knock on the door or wait. It seems their conversation is reaching its conclusion, but remaining silent might give the impression of eavesdropping. After contemplating for a moment, I decide to knock. knock, knock The conversation abruptly stops, and Gina opens the door for me. "Sir Dhaffa, please come in." I nod at her before turning my attention to the principal and the man with him. 'Who is it?' Although still curious, the principal greets me. "You've arrived, Sir Dhaffa. Please take a seat." I nod and walk toward them. "Am I interrupting, Sir Meor?" Meor glances at the man in front of him and then back at me, giving a slight wave of his hand. "Nah, we're finished here, right, Sir Adam?" "Yes, we're already done." Adam

  • Chapter 24 : Playing Along

Despite the irritating thoughts that buzzed in my mind, the principal's words found their way to my ears."I understand that you might perceive this as absurd, but I have full confidence in your ability to handle this admirably."I fixed the principal with a skeptical gaze for a moment, but then my expression softened, and I addressed him, "Principal Meor, if you don't mind me saying..."The principal nodded, giving me permission to speak, and I continued, "I'm a relatively new instructor here, and my presence is rather inconspicuous. It's quite intriguing that the higher-ups have taken notice of me and recommended me for this role, don't you think?"There was a fleeting change in the principal's expression, a momentary shift that I keenly observed. The principal then voiced his response,"Your observation is not without merit," he admitted. "It is true that you are a relatively recent addition to our academy's staff, and your previous work has been rather... plain. Therefore, I find

  • Chapter 23 : Principle Office

My eyebrows furrowed at the revelation. Gina's introduction suggested an official business, and it piqued my interest. The principal held significant authority at the Royal Hunter Academy. "Academy's principal?" I repeated, my tone more composed than before. "What business does the academy's principal have with me?" Gina appeared relieved that I was now taking her seriously. "The principal requests your presence for a meeting, sir. It concerns a matter of utmost importance. I understand that you value your weekend, but this is a matter of great urgency." I considered her words for a moment, weighing the inconvenience of having my weekend interrupted against the urgency implied in her message. The principal wouldn't summon me without reason, and if it was a matter of significance, I had a responsibility to address it. "Very well," I finally conceded. "I will accompany you to the office. Let me make the necessary preparations." Gina nodded appreciatively. "Thank you for your underst
