"Young Master!"

Dante bowed respectfully to Ethan, his expression solemn and full of reverence.

Looking at Dante, Ethan's calm gaze flickered with a subtle but distinct intensity.

Years ago, after he was saved by that girl, he met the old man who changed his life.

Under the old man’s guidance, Ethan not only learned incredible skills but also built a powerful network, gathering the world's top forces under his control. Among them was the most influential and secretive organization—The Blackgold Consortium.

Dante, as the leader of this conglomerate, had become Ethan’s most loyal subordinate, protecting him with unwavering dedication.

“Get up,” Ethan said calmly, his voice steady.

“Yes, Young Master.”

Dante immediately rose and quickly stepped behind Ethan. His expression was complex as he glanced at Ethan before carefully speaking up.

“By the way, Young Master, now that Serena has betrayed you... Does this mean our alliance with the Blackwell family is...?”

Ethan cut him off without hesitation. “No need.”

"It’s just a small deal. Just keep it. There’s no need to make things ugly." His tone casual but sharp.

Dante couldn’t help but nod in agreement. He knew all too well that the Blackgold Consortium was just one of many forces under Ethan's control.

To Serena and the Blackwell family, the Blackgold Consortium was a massive entity—a powerhouse. But to Ethan, it was insignificant, a tool he could discard without a second thought.

And besides... Ethan had another reason.

The Phoenix Ring.

Serena still had the ring. It was a constant reminder of his debt to her. Ethan had decided not to push things too far, choosing instead to let her off the hook—this time—paying back the kindness she had shown him years ago.

But after this? There would be no more ties between them. From then on, they would be strangers, familiar yet distant.

“By the way!” Dante suddenly seemed to remember something, and his eyes widened with urgency. “Blake just contacted me! He says he’s found some information about your mother’s death!”

What?!

Ethan’s expression froze, his eyes narrowing as he leaned forward, his voice sharp and tense. “Information about my mother? Dante, are you sure?”

“Absolutely.”

Dante’s tone was grave as he continued, “Master, I’m sure the information he found is reliable.”

Ethan nodded. Blake was one of his most trusted allies, second only to Dante.

Ever since Ethan decided to make his way in Clouddale, Blake had been determined to carve out his own empire. In just three years, he had founded the largest trading guild in the city—The Black Dragon Guild—which now controlled all major industries in Clouddale.

Whether it was in the shadows or the open, the Black Dragon Guild had a hand in everything. It was said in Clouddale, "Better to cross paths with the devil than with the Black Dragon."

This was a testament to how feared and respected the Black Dragon Guild was.

If Blake had found something, it was bound to be true.

Ethan straightened, his voice low and commanding. “Where is he now?”

"Blake is waiting for you at the top floor of Clouddale’s most prestigious five-star hotel, Golden Palace,” Dante answered with a slight smile. “He’s reserved a spot for you, just waiting for you to arrive."

Without hesitation, Ethan made his decision. “Alright. Let’s go.”

...

The journey was silent.

Ethan’s mind was consumed with thoughts of his mother’s death. Since he’d left his family and his mother had passed, everything about it felt so strange, so out of place. It always seemed like there was a hidden hand behind the scenes, pulling the strings.

Years had passed, but Ethan never stopped searching for the truth behind her death.

He had to know the truth. No matter who was behind it, they would pay.

His mind was consumed by this single thought, his expression growing colder by the second. Dante, noticing Ethan’s growing tension, let out a small, resigned sigh. It seemed that the shadow of the death of the Young Master’s mother still haunted him.

Ethan didn’t notice Dante’s concern, instead reaching into his jacket pocket, searching for the Phoenix Ring— the only memento left to him by his mother.

But suddenly, it hit him—he had left the ring behind at Serena’s house. He had been in such a hurry when he left that he had forgotten it.

It didn’t matter, though. Once he was done at the Golden Palace, he would go to Serena’s house and take back what was rightfully his, sever all ties with her for good.

Grandpa!”Ethan tensed. “What’s wrong, Avery?”“Henry’s not just our butler—he’s the one taking care of Grandpa’s daily needs!”“If Jaxon’s right and Henry’s out to get us... then what

"Young Master!"At the same time, Dante and Blake quickly approached Ethan, their faces full of respect and solemnity."Mm."Ethan nodded, his expression calm as he looked at them, then said in a deep voice,"Dante, I need you to investigate someone.""You have my command, Young Master," Dante replied, his face serious."Avery's brother, Jaxon Mitchell. Find out where he is right now."Dante raised an eyebrow, looking at the Young Master with some doubt. He didn't understand why he was being asked to investigate someone, especially for no clear reason. However, being sharp, Dante didn't question further. He nodded immediately."Understood, Young Master. I'll handle it right away."With that, Dante left without hesitation. As Dante left, Blake seemed to think of something. He cautiously glanced at Ethan, then spoke in a lowered voice."By the way, Young Master, I saw a pair of phoenix rings in Serena's possession earlier. Avery, don’t think that securing the Black Gold Consortium deal means you’re on top now! She had his mother’s Phoenix Rings, and based on his reaction earlier, she was sure those rings held deep, sentimental value for him.Serena was confident that one day, Ethan would be on his knees begging her. When that time came, she would make sure he paid the price. At that moment, a sudden rush of footsteps echoed around them, accompanied by the sound of people whispering excitedly.“Quick!
