**Chapter 4**

I stood frozen for a split second as those heavy knocks echoed through the luxurious suite like a death sentence. My Divine Diagnosis Eye was already scanning the hallway outside. Five elite agents from the City Shadow Bureau. All of them trained killers with years of experience and equipment that could make normal people disappear without a trace. They knew about Sophia’s secret research into new medicines and now they saw me as an unpredictable threat who had just taken down a professional assassin in minutes.

Sophia’s hand tightened on my arm. Her face had gone pale but her eyes burned with determination. “Draven, those knocks are their standard code. They only use it when they plan to take someone in quietly. We cannot fight the Shadow Bureau openly. They control too much power behind the scenes.”

I turned to her and gave a confident smile even as adrenaline surged through my veins. “We will not fight them head on. Stay behind me and trust what I am about to do. The pill I gave you earlier will keep you strong. Just follow my lead.”

The System voice chimed in my head right on time.

“Ding. Temporary skill unlocked for this encounter. Shadow Needle Concealment. Host can use invisible energy needles to disable opponents without visible wounds. Combined with Advanced Body Refinement this gives host a perfect stealth advantage.”

The knocks came again louder this time followed by a cold voice from the hallway. “Miss Laurent open the door. This is the Shadow Bureau. We have questions about the man with you and your recent activities. Do not make this difficult.”

I moved fast. I positioned Sophia near the examination couch where she could stay protected then I walked straight to the door and opened it calmly like I had nothing to hide. The five agents in sharp black suits pushed inside immediately their eyes scanning every corner. Their leader a middle aged man with a scar across his cheek pointed a hidden taser at me.

“You. Hands where we can see them. You interfered with a Zhao family matter and now you are with Miss Laurent. We need to take you in for questioning.”

I raised my hands slowly but inside I was already activating the new skill. Invisible energy needles shot from my fingertips like silent ghosts. The first two agents stiffened as the needles hit their neck pressure points. Their bodies locked up and they dropped to the floor unconscious without making a sound. The other three noticed too late.

“What the hell,” the leader growled pulling out a real gun this time.

I blurred forward using my enhanced speed and slapped the gun away while driving a precise needle strike into his wrist. He screamed as his arm went numb. The remaining two agents tried to rush me but I spun and hit them with more concealed needles targeting their meridians. All five men lay on the expensive carpet within ten seconds completely neutralized and breathing but unable to move.

Sophia stared at me with wide eyes full of shock and growing desire. “Draven how are you doing this. No normal person could take down Shadow Bureau agents like that. Who exactly are you.”

I wiped my hands and turned to her. The System rewarded me instantly.

“Ding. Branch quest partially completed. Reward delivered. God level medical inheritance fragment absorbed. Host medical knowledge expanded to include ancient forbidden techniques. Additional reward. One billion yuan bonus and full loyalty boost from Sophia Laurent. Her affection level has reached ninety percent.”

Sophia stepped closer to me until our bodies were almost touching. Her cheeks were flushed and her breathing had grown heavier. The System title Protector of the Ice Queen was working overtime. She placed both hands on my chest and looked up at me with eyes that were no longer cold.

“You saved me again,” she whispered. “First from the poison I did not even know about and now from these agents. I have never trusted anyone this quickly in my life but with you it feels right. From today onward my resources my company and my body are all yours if you want them Draven.”

The words hit me hard. This was the untouchable ice queen offering herself completely. I could feel the heat radiating from her and the way her fingers gripped my shirt. My own body reacted strongly thanks to the body refinement making everything more intense.

Before I could respond the System gave another alert.

“Ding. New main quest unlocked. Establish your first medical empire base. Use Sophia Laurent’s pharmaceutical company to launch a revolutionary cure within thirty days. Success reward. Full Immortal Doctor Realm entry and control over one major city faction. Failure penalty. Shadow Bureau will hunt host permanently.”

Sophia leaned in even closer her lips inches from mine. “Tell me what you need Draven. I will make it happen. My board of directors will listen to me. We can start a new division under your control tomorrow.”

I was about to answer when my Divine Diagnosis Eye suddenly picked up something terrifying far worse than the agents on the floor. High above the hospital in the night sky a black helicopter was approaching silently. Inside it sat an old man in traditional robes surrounded by powerful auras. My new medical knowledge identified him immediately. He was a hidden ancient cultivator from one of the old families who had been secretly backing the Shadow Bureau.

The old man’s eyes seemed to pierce through the building straight toward our suite.

The System voice rang with heavy urgency.

“Ding. Extreme danger detected. Nascent Soul stage expert from the Hidden Dragon Clan has arrived. He sensed the energy fluctuations from your fight and wants the Divine Doctor legacy for himself. He plans to kill you and take Sophia as a cultivation furnace. Estimated arrival in five minutes. Host must prepare or escape immediately.”

My blood ran cold. This was no longer street level threats. A real cultivator was coming and he was on a completely different level. Sophia noticed my tension and pressed herself tighter against me.

“Draven what is it now,” she asked her voice filled with worry.

I clenched my fists as the distant sound of helicopter blades grew louder. The true monsters of this city were finally showing themselves and they were coming straight for us.

Sophia, Seraphina, and Elena followed close behind me, their faces pale with fury and fear.Lirael’s presence in the bond was fading fast.I crashed through the reinforced glass of the 78th floor without slowing down. The entire executive level had been transformed into a ritual chamber. Ancient runes covered the walls and floors, glowing with sickening purple light. In the center stood a tall figure in pure black divine robes — the leader of the Ten Divine Envoys. His face was hidden behind a cracked silver mask, but his aura felt like an abyss.Princess Lirael was chained in the middle of the altar, her imperial robes torn, blood running

**Chapter 18**The golden afterglow of my stage eight breakthrough still lingered across the Central City skyline, but all that victory taste turned to ash in my mouth the moment I locked eyes with the delivery man standing near the edge of the Laurent Pharmaceuticals rooftop. The air around him twisted with terrifying divine energy that made my newly evolved Medical God power scream in warning. My four women were still pressed against me, celebrating our win over the Divine Sovereign, when invisible chains of pure killing intent snapped around all of us.Sophia gasped sharply as the formation locked onto her neck. “Draven… I can’t move…”Seraphina’s silver-streaked hair flared as she tried to channel her sect energy, but the runes on the rooftop glowed brighter and suppressed her. Sophia, Seraphina, Elena, and Lirael stood strong beside me on the rooftop of Laurent Pharmaceuticals headquarters, but I could feel their tension through our harem bond. The entire city had gone silent. Millions of people watched live on phones, news helicopters, and giant screens downtown. This was no longer hidden cultivator business. This was happening in the middle of my city, in broad daylight, with the world watching.“You dare threaten what is mine?” I growled, stepping in front of my women.
