005: Auction

The policeman got the phone for him and the other police men were around to witness.

"Him? pay?" One laughed "He should get ready to die because he can't even pay a dollar!"

They handed him the phone and Dylan effortlessly imputed the numbers and stared at him "So? Is that enough?"

Beep!

The man's phone beeped with a credit alert!

His jaw dropped. Dylan had just sent him 1.1 Million dollars! Neat money! He couldn't believe his eyes.

"I sent you extra to enjoy yourself. Who knows, if you help me well, I can add some extras" He smiled at the police man.

Without questions, the police man opened the Cell room and helped Dylan out as though he was the president!

"Yes sir! This way!" The police men all took Dylan to the head office.

Dylan used his way and got to the police man to his side. And without much stress, the head police had agreed to let Dylan off prison without letting it be official to the public.

Dylan had built solid connections with the police men in jail and people in jail too. And before he left, he had made a request to take his closest friend along - Zane.

And then the two of them left prison together to face the harsh world that made a mockery of them.

In the grand beautiful looking room, Emily and Oliver was still laying together in bed that morning. Wrapped together in each other's arms.

"I'm so happy that I'm with you now" Emily smiled happily "I can't believe that four months ago, I was in hell with that bastard"

Oliver smiled happily "Don't worry about it. I'm also glad to wake up to a beauty by my side every morning"

Oliver added "Heard that jerk has been taken to jail instead. It's been 3 months, he should be dead already. He couldn't have survived all that beating"

Emily smiled "That's more like it" she stared at him "So how are the preparations for the Grand Event this weekend?"

Oliver smiled "It's coming well. It's a gathering of Elite men, everyone will flaunt all they have, so I need to attend with the best I have"

Oliver smiled as he added "I've already sent my men to attend an auction happening today. They have to obtain the best stuff, especially the Jade Dragon Ring. It's the hottest thing to have at the moment. And it's exclusive! So I need to have it. Everyone at the event will surely bow to me if they see it"

Emily smiled proudly "I know you can get it. What can you not obtain with your money? So proud of have you as my husband"

They both kissed as Oliver smiled "Can't wait to show off that night and also get the special guest position at the charity event"

"I've waited years for this moment. They'll all respect the great Oliver Maxwell the more after that night"

On the other hand, Dylan and Zane had already made preparations to attend the same auction.

Dylan had gotten information from a source that Oliver's men will be attending this auction to get stuff.

He knew he had to be there.

When the time arrived, the two of them got down from a casual black car. Dylan didn't want to attract much attention yet, so he just came with a casual car.

The two of them were in black suits and sunglasses. And they casually made their way into the auction hall and took their seats.

Everything to be auctioned was brought out and arranged. Preparations were made and soon the auction had started.

Dylan and Zane sat there, waiting.

Zane got worried and asked Dylan "Everything here looks so damn expensive, are you sure we can do this?!"

But Dylan casually smiled as he said "Don't worry. I have it under control. Trust me" he said calmly.

Zane nodded. He guessed he'd have to trust him.

The three men Oliver had sent were also there. All in black suit as they proudly sat waiting to get the best stuff.

They believed no one could top them. They were from the Maxwell family. The richest and most powerful after the Governor.

The auction started with stuff The three men weren't interested in at all. And so they sat and waited for the ones they wanted.

It got to a car. An extremely luxurious car!

It was a brand new car from a big brand. It was one of the few available at the moment, and the only one in the country.

Getting it was a big flex! So Oliver certainly wanted to get it.

The bidding continued until it seemed no one was topping again. And then one of Oliver's men said.

"300 Million dollars"

It was a big leap from the previous 100 Million Dollars!

Everyone there gasped. They stared at the three men and quickly recognised them from being from the Maxwell family.

All knew it was over because no one could top them!

In that moment, all was quiet. No one could top the 300 Million dollars.

But Dylan smiled and casually declared.

"400 Million Dollars!"

Silence. Then everyone gasped in shock as they stared at Dylan. He was in sunglasses. They were all stunned.

"Who is this young man that could rival the the Maxwell family for this?!"

"He might be a Prince?!"

"Or the president's son?! Because how is he possible!"

"Wasn't he the man that came with an ordinary looking car? How on earth can he afford this?!"

"Is he just blabbing?!"

The three men from Oliver stared at Dylan in shock and annoyance.

One of the men said "450 Million dollars!"

They were confident now that Dylan wouldn't speak again.

But Dylan effortlessly said with a smile. "455 Million dollars!"

Everyone stared in shock. They couldn't believe what was happening. They couldn't believe that someone in this Province apart from the Governor family could rival the Maxwell family.

It just didn't make sense to them!

The men were pissed and added.

"500 Billion dollars" one of them said. They had exceeded the budget of 450 but they didn't care.

Now they didn't think anyone would challenge them. And now they were certain the opponent wouldn't speak again.

But immediately, Dylan raised his card with a calm smile.
