Their arrival at the mansion had them coming down with preciseness and so much carefulness that Ethan and Miranda who watched through the CCTV camera shook their heads.

Although they claimed to be wise, they were foolish nonetheless. They didn't know that their car had been bugged and their conversation was recorded.

Ethan had no plans of exposing that secret anytime soon because that would make them stop being invincible. What good would it do if he proved that he had dirt on them? It was only going to lead to more enmity.

"True to your words, I couldn't believe that he would try to do stuff like this to me. This man surely wants me to be ended completely and I don't know what I have ever done to deserve such acts from him." Miranda said almost near tears.

Ethan was not surprised at Williams' act of wickedness. "For someone who tried to kill you you are quite delusional to think that he wants the best for you." He said.

"Let's go greet the people who want us off the face of Eart

She kept on yelling. Ethan maintained his calm disposition. He had a lot of things on his mind and this was even far from it. There were a few people who were able to rattle him, but none of them ever succeeded. She wasn't even part of them. Miranda's father tapped his wife so that she could learn some atom of control but that was not even the case. She wanted to prove something, which was quite annoying, to say the least."

"She put you up to this, didn't she? Isn't it the best if you have just rejected anything that have to do with your conscience instead of making me now realize the kind of person you are?" If anyone told me that you would, I might have fought them but here we are and I have no choice but to believe that you are here in flesh and blood." He tried to hug her but she escaped stylishly. "Given the circumstances, I believe that you and I would have to discuss more and find a solution to our problems. It has been a long time since we had a heart to heart conversation and trust me, I am not the same man I used to be a long time ago." "And pigs fly. How do you expect that I of all people would ever listen to your shenanigans and believe it? You freaking tried to kill me, have you suddenly lost your memory?" "Obviously, yes. I remember and I am still a bit perplexed why you have not sued me. I know that you do not have sufficient evidence but it isn't still a criterion for you to push for vengeance. You and I know how important this is to you." Williams said. Miranda wondered how she ever ended up with such a freaking stupid guy. She must have been stupid to also think that anything tangible was going to come out from their conversations. • VOWS OF VENGEANCE    A Glimpse of Hope

Miranda's face was plastered even on national TV with her words misconstrued and tagged to mean disrespectful and problematic. A lot of netizens had things to say about her behavior to a man of reputation after losing almost half of her assets. "Even if she wants to be mad at him, he doesn't deserve her scathing actions. It has not been proven that he was in any way involved in her kidnap, so why is she trying so much to paint him black?" One person said. "I think that a lot of women have been made to be empowered in a silly form, and all they think about is revenge when they should be happy that someone even takes a look at them." A Rosie Meyer said. Miranda couldn't bear the reproach she was facing from something that she was supposed to emerge as a winner and, most importantly, from women who understood how this works. She rolled her eyes as she kept on watching the news dissect her personal life and asking for proof that her claims were true. "I don't think you should be wat

"I suggest that you take a chill pill, sir; shouting is not going to solve anything. Why don't we discuss it and then we know what exactly to say? I understand how you must feel but... Is that not the reason why I am here?" Williams raised his eyes at her in anger. She wouldn't know what it meant for her reputation to be damaged. He was just finalizing a damaged control which took a lot from him just to be able to prove to people that he was a good man. Pointing at her accusingly, she jerked backward. "I don't understand what this is all about but if I have any idea of what this might be, I tell you for a fact that you are probably blowing this out of proportion. I understand the need for you to put yourself in my shoes and all of that, but..." Williams slammed his palm against the table,

He shouldn't have allowed his anger to get the best out of him because now he was behind bars again for the same reason he wanted to leave. "Do not come over here unless you have something tangible to tell me. If you want to convince me why don't you go ahead and just tell me from the start instead of making me believe that I have a chance but that's not the truth of the matter." He said a little bit annoyed when he saw Ethan again. This time Ethan had forgotten what it felt to be remorseful especially when he came to somebody like this and he wanted to treat him to a point where he would regret his life and never tried the same thing that he did in the beginning. • The Returnee

Williams looked at the interior of the cell wondering how his life had declined to this state where he could no longer feed properly and was left to rot inside a place where he had absolutely no idea what was going on. It was almost as though he was wasting his time here when it could be outside taking revenge. The amount of pain that he felt was enough to send him almost across borders, but he didn't say a word; instead, he just kept on looking. The only reason that he had not committed suicide was because he didn't want Ethan and Miranda to win. They were the ones behind all of this he knew this. He just needed somebody who could trust him enough to bring him out of this mess and then he would show them the stuff that he was made of without having to break a sweat. The problem of having to wait for so long before somebody decided to take pity on him was something that he did not want to take for granted, but at the same time, he was still trying to figure out what to do next.

A little more push and Williams would have confessed that he was the one who had pulled that stunt but he already had a goal and had not achieved it yet. He would rather die than to speak up, even if the people were being screened one after the other. "Oh, is there anything wrong with you apart from the fact that you already have things set up? I don't know why you will restrict us from leaving when my mother is already in the hospital? I can't stay here simply because you did not trust that the people you employed would not have a hand in this shenanigans!"As truthful as his words might have sounded, everything was completely fake to Ethan and he began to watch the person carefully. For him to possess such an audacity, he had something to hide and it was not something small. Phil's manager also felt the same way and he turned to look at the person who was challenging him. This wasn't somebody who was begging for a job, instead it was somebody who couldn't wait to get out of thi

"Somebody grab this man! He was the one talking to her before she fainted. Who knows if he has done something simply because she doesn't like him anymore? I don't know why you would subject yourself to such horror simply because you cannot take the hint that this woman doesn't want you in her life anymore?!" The insult did nothing against Ethan as Cassandra's fiance kept on shouting and trying to disgrace him."I'm sure you have the CCTV cameras, why do you act like a local? If you cannot use your money wisely, do you even think you should get married?" Ethan pointed at him in a derogatory manner. "I'm not going to stand here and watch you insult me simply because you cannot use your intelligence. I don't bloody care about your opinion about me either, in case you have not noticed."The insults run deeper than Phil intended it to. His face colored, as he moved closer, attempting to smack this man across the face and show everyone that he was capable. "Oh you wouldn't dare do that to

Williams watched from the server's desk, wearing his mask over his face as he moved around, entertaining visitors and asking what they would like. This idea was suggested by his friend which he had initially thought didn't make any sense until he realized how important it was to him and then figured out that he had probably lost a lot."So, what the hell is this? Do you think that I would not have been mad at you or something? I have more than enough reason not to listen to your words even if you try." Cassandra challenged Ethan when he pointed out the obvious. "My husband is a straight man, he loves me so much and...""He is bisexual. Cassandra you don't want to end up with someone like this. You cannot cope. You know this deep down, so why the unnecessary anger at me? Didn't you have a check like you should? or let me guess... "What kind of ex would I be if I didn't show up at your intimate engagement? Does Williams know that you are getting married to another person?" He asked in a good natured tone, shocking her to the bone.If anyone had told Cassandra a long time ago that she would have to bother herself so much about Ethan, she would have refused and called them a liar. • The Wedding

"Engaged? To whom?" Ethan asked with mild curiosity, as he kept on scrolling through his phone, looking for the news in the media. How she had managed to keep it hush was still a surprise to him because immediately the media got wind of such news, they would have a field day publishing it to whomever it may concern. "So, according to insiders, it is rumored that now that Williams has been stripped of his position and she has no need for him anymore, she decided to move on with life and I don't blame her one bit." "Yeah, right. That is wonderful to hear. I wouldn't advise her to stay with him either." Ethan responded. Not only was Williams now broke, he was also a woman beater, who knew what she could say that would anger him and that may lead to her demise, so it was better that she was far away from him where he couldn't touch her. He could handle her surprises better than Miranda. "Tell me the details for your arrival. Hav
