Chapter 163

Darius and Carla stood on the platform, waving goodbye to Jasmine as she boarded the train. Darius was holding Jasmine's purse, which he had given her as a graduation gift. It was a beautiful leather purse, with a gold clasp and Jasmine's initials on it.

Darius watched as Jasmine settled into her seat and the train pulled away. He felt a pang of sadness as he realized that she was leaving home for the first time.

"She'll be fine," Carla said, putting her arm around Darius and squeezing his hand. "She's a strong girl."

Darius nodded. "I know," he said. "But it's still hard to see her go."

They watched the train until it disappeared into the distance, and then they turned and walked back to their car.

As they were walking, Darius noticed a group of men lurking nearby. They were all wearing dark clothes and sunglasses, and they looked out of place in the busy train station.

Darius had a bad feeling about these men, but he didn't say anything to Carla. He didn't want to worry her.
