What in the world is going on here? It seems like I am a moving arsenal; why would they do that to me? I was surprised by the additional information that appeared on the screen in front of me, so this clearly means that there will be a lot of fights like these in the future since all these weapons are in my possession, and I have to use them also, but how will I be able to do that? I don't have any fighting or weapon training; weren't they supposed to teach and train me first before throwing me into a situation I have knowledge about?.

While I was thinking about these things, which were irrelevant to the situation that we were facing, I heard the boy with the rifle introduce himself to the woman and the kids. Even though I was not sure how or exactly when that happened, it reached me that instant. I had a feeling that something was wrong with the way everything was happening. I don't know how to explain it, but what I was feeling was like I was in two places at the same time, and whatever happened was reaching me sometimes before it happened and sometimes after it happened.

I know that doesn't make any sense but that was I felt at that time, once more I came back to reality when I heard the boy with rifle who introduced himself as Luke saying "They are here, be ready to engage."

I withdraw from my inventory the first weapon that caught my eye which was the Lazer gun, then I ducked with the rest behind the huge boulder.

Azmar's point of view

Azmar, while he was the quiet type, being a detective at a young age showed that he was the smart type, almost you could call him a genius. Although he didn't have any memories of his life on earth, specifically of his personal life, but the memories that he still has there in that police station, that he can describe each corner or wall inside it, he still doesn't remember being in it. He only has a feeling that he worked there, but he can't be sure about it.

The memories that he has about earth are selective memories, without his personal life, but all the rest of his general knowledge still exists in his brain. He stopped wondering how that happened or why a while back, now in this strange alien world that was brought to him after being kidnapped from his without agreeing to it, he knew that sooner or later he would encounter those who were behind it, and at that time he would deal with them, whatever it took. That was the decision he reached.

He had no doubt that they were monitoring their movement and planning everything they encountered; he was only asking himself if they were also able to control the outcome. Like the way they diverted their destinations, that alone was proof enough of their direct involvement in the current situation we are in at the moment.

Currently, he was kneeling on the ground in a dense forest, where they ended up without their knowledge, and there was a gunfight going on a few hundred meters ahead of them. Besides him was the young girl Amran¹ who had also been kidnapped from Earth with him, and he took it upon himself to take care of her, and protecting her from whatever the people who abducted them wanted with her.

The situation that we were in at the moment was, in my opinion, the beginning of the dangerous journey. The way it appears to me, Mr. Ajbadan went to observe the situation that was going on ahead of us, and when he came back and before he gave us the full report, Amran voiced out her opinion. I was looking at her, wondering how she was capable of analyzing the situation at this age. For the short time we have been together, I noticed that she is not a normal child, a child at her age would have been crying her eyes out every single day, but her behaviour was totally like that of an adult with a hard life experience.

Occasionally I can see some sadness in her eyes, but nothing more, I turned to Ajbadan and asked him, "So what should we do now?" Ajbadan thought for a few seconds and said, "We just wait here. Soon the shooting will start, and we can't interfere with that. Let's see how it goes, then we will decide our course of action."

The frequent gunshots started, they lasted for only a few minutes, then there was silence at the moment, which unfortunately didn't last long. After a few seconds, a metal clash started instead of the gunshots. "Now what is going on there?". Raco, the young boy who was escorting us along with Ajbadan, who was kneeling behind me, asked the question. Of course, the question was not addressed to any of us, but it seems like he was thinking aloud.

Ajbadan answered him also, and it was clearly showing on his face that he had no clue of what was going on there: "I think they ran out of Ammunition and it changed to hand-to-hand fighting now," and that was exactly what I reached as a conclusion myself. Besides me, I also noticed Amran nodding with her head in agreement. I was wondering if this is the best time for us to approach and look at the situation closely. The only reservations I had were two things: the first was that I didn't want to endanger the child, though that was not a big deal since I turned out to be capable of protecting her, and also that our escorts were capable enough to guard us, but only two of them.

II did see with my own eyes how this young boy took care of the beasts that was about to kill us both by himself without any effort. The second thing was that there was a real problem since we are in a hostile situation, at least we need to be able to defend ourselves. The visible weapons with our escorts are limited, and me and Amran didn't have any weapons, though I wouldn't by any chance give a child a weapon whatever the circumstances were, and deep down I had a feeling that she would be able to take care of herself.

At that moment, a virtual screen appeared in front of me. It took me by surprise, so I almost fell to the ground. The only thing that helped me were my reflexes. To the others, incasa, if they were looking at me at the moment, I would look like I was adjusting my position, in fact, Amran glanced at me for a split of a second, as did I at the same time, and we both continued looking straight with more attention. This type of virtual screen was not something new to me; it was common in science fiction novels and movies back on earth. So to see it in an actual and real alien world.

The information that appeared on the screen was somehow about me, apparently, at the same time, it looked like it was about me, and it was as follows:
