Samson stood in the corner with a lit cigarette in his mouth. He took a long suck and let out the smoke from his mouth which was carried by the wind.
"A little too early for that, don't you think?" A voice said to him from the corner of his eye."Peace! There you are. I've been waiting for you guys." Samson said and reached in for a hug but none was forthcoming.Peace only pulled the cigarette out of his mouth, threw it in the ground and stepped on it."Why?" Samson asked like a little child whose toy had been taken away from him."Those things will kill you. And what will Jamie think if he saw you doing that stuff?" She asked, seemingly concerned about him."That's why I don't do it in the house," Samson answered and brought out the cigar box to take another."Don't even think about it or I will burn the entire box." Peace said. She sounded serious so Samson put the box back inside his backpack and said, "Later then.""How about Jamie? How's he doing?" Peace asked."He's good, he's good. I just dropped him off at school before I came here. And you? How are your sisters after your parent's little battle this morning?" Samson asked back."Little battle Indeed! They're fine. I seriously don't know how they'd end up if I wasn't in the picture. They're so young. They shouldn't be seeing that shit." Peace said, wishing she could do more to change her family's situation, for her sisters' sake."They're lucky to have you as their big sis," Samson said sincerely."Yeah...Give me one of those cigars." Peace suddenly said."I thought these things kill?" Samson asked sarcastically."Only if you make it a habit." Peace replied and took a stick. Samson gave her a light and she began smoking.Just then, Nelly showed up on his skateboard. He saw Samson and Peace and called out to them. They waved at him and he decided to entertain them with some skating tricks. He did a 360 ollie kickflip and landed flawlessly which made his friends applaud him."Thank you, thank you." He said like a performer and stopped his board. He kicked it up and caught it in the air with his hand."Where's Darryl and J-lo?" He asked."Probably sucking each other's face somewhere." Peace said bitterly."Looks like someone's still upset about pretty boy Darryl not noticing she has a crush on him," Nelly said jokingly in an attempt to tease Peace over her unrequited feelings for Darryl."Had a crush on him. Keyword, 'had'. I'm over him." She admitted."Well if you're so over him, then why do you always let what he does with Jennifer bother you so much?" Nelly asked."I may not have feelings for him anymore but he's still my friend and I care about him. She's just using him and he's too infatuated with her to notice. He's just a trophy to her." Peace said, visibly upset."Well, you can tell him that to his face because they're here," Samson said and pointed at Jenny's car in the distance. The car drove up to them and parked by their side with loud music playing from the speakers."What's up, guys? Get in, let's go." Jennifer greeted them."Here, I'm done with this!" Peace said to Nelly and handed him her cigarette. She opened the door to the car and went in. Nelly threw the cigarette away into a bush and went into the car as well and so did Samson."Let's go, Babe," Darryl said to her and she drove off to school. In the car, the group began engaging in small talk and Jennifer turned off the stereo so they could talk."What's up Darryl?" Samson said to him and Darryl turned around from the passenger seat to exchange handshakes with his male friends."I'm good Sam." he said while shaking hands, "Nelly, my man! How you doing today?" He asked and shook Nelly as well."Never better," Nelly answered."Hi Peace," Darryl said with a slight nod of his head."Hi, Darryl." Peace replied with the least of interest."Yo J-Lo! What's good girl?" Nelly said aloud to Jennifer."Nelly, how many times have I told you not to call me J-Lo? I'm a lot younger and more fabulous than she is." Jennifer replied snobbily."Ok hold up! I don't care how young you are, you can never be more fabulous than Jennifer Lopez." Nelly said."That's facts," Samson said in agreement."Don't listen to them, babe. You are the most fabulous babe on the planet." Darryl said to her."Aww, thanks, babe.""Aww, thanks, babe." Peace mouthed the same words in mockery but didn't say it out loud. She was getting so worked up about how hard Darryl was trying to kiss up to Jennifer so she decided to make him uncomfortable."Darryl! You mentioned that your Dad was yelling your name this morning. What was that about?" Peace asked, already knowing what it was about.Darryl never liked telling his friends about his life at home. They knew he was poor but they didn't know how bad his living conditions were because he always managed to hide it and always came up with an excuse not to invite them over. The only one who knew about it was Peace. She also knew that his father was physical sometimes but Darryl made her promise not to tell anyone."Oh, nothing really. He just needed me to pick up some things on my way back from school and he was a bit cranky." Darryl lied in response to the question but Peace wasn't buying it unlike the rest of the group."And what happened to your face?" She asked again. She knew she was pushing it too far but she just couldn't help herself."Yeah, I was meaning to ask you about that bruise on your jaw," Jennifer added.Darryl didn't know what to say. He couldn't tell them that his father hit him so he came up with a ridiculous lie about bumping into a pole.Darryl turned around and gave Peace a warning look, a look that suggested that she stop asking questions so she reluctantly did."So guys, do any of you have any plans for Christmas? If not, we could do something together." Samson said."Urgh! Christmas is still like a week away. Let's talk about plans for tonight, shall we?" Jennifer dismissed the talk of Christmas plans. It wasn't her favourite topic because her parents were always working which made her always spend Christmas alone, void of all the happy family traditions."What plans tonight?" Darryl wondered."My parents are out and I have the house all to myself. Mom said I could invite you guys over so...?" Jennifer said in a casual invite."Sweet! I love hanging out at your crib. That place is dope yo." Nelly said excitedly, forgetting the promise he made to his mom about coming home early to look after his Pops."I'm there." Samson accepted to come."Well, count me in as well," Darryl said. He was in no rush to go back home after being hit by his father."And what about you Peace? You coming?" Jennifer asked and looked at her through the rearview mirror."Depends on how things are at home. I'll try to come but I'll probably be late." Peace said as sincerely as she could. They finally reached their school and the bells indicating the start of classes went off. They all stepped out of the car and walked in like a troop of odd-looking soldiers. They were a weird collection of people with so much in common, yet so different in many ways.Samson and Darryl were both seniors so they had a different class unlike the rest of the gang and so, they split up."We'll meet up during recess and go over the details of the party tonight, alright?" Darryl said and everyone nodded in agreement before they separated. As Darryl began walking away, Jennifer grabbed his hand and pulled him in for a kiss. She was really going for it, not caring that they were in the hallway of the school and there were so many people around.Peace saw the kiss and rolled her eyes at them before she went her way."You've been very affectionate today," Darryl said to her, wondering why."Do you want me to stop?" Jennifer asked."No, no. Quite the opposite. I kinda want more.""Well, maybe you'll get a whole lot more tonight," Jennifer whispered in his eyes. She kissed him again and bit his lower lip before walking away and leaving him horny as ever.He watched her walk away, swinging her hips and he winced in excitement for what tonight would bring. He couldn't wait to get the night underway.

The Rise Of The New Vampire
The next night, Cornelius Primo was ready to fly out to the gravesite that Gable’s men had found so he could get the most important piece of the puzzled for his plans to finally move forward. He had gotten dressed in his father’s cloak, an article of clothing that he had never worn since he killed his father. Gable came into his chambers, “Alpha, the chopper is ready,” He said. “Then, let’s get going,” Primo said. They both walked out of the house and onto the yard together. When they reached outside, five more men, including the pilot were already inside the spinning helicopter and they were going to accompany him just in case he needed some extra muscle. There was also a young woman in the helicopter with a bag over her head. Her hands and feet were tied up with ropes and she was also unconscious. “Is that the virgin?” Primo asked before stepping in. “That’s her,” Gable answered. Primo and Gable climbed in and the pilot hovered them off the ground and into the sky. They headed
Never Again
Gable was in the underground section of the Mudders Estate and was supervising the final touches that were being made to the giant bunker deep within the soil. He had a grin on his face because he knew that it was almost time for the real plan to be kicked in motion. J came running up the stairs so he could give Gable some information about the progress of the dome. “Gable, I’ve got good news from the engineers,” J said to him. “And…” Gable asked. “It’s complete. As of now, the dome is officially complete,” J said with a proud smile on his face. “…which means that it’s time to have some real fun,” Gable said with a menacing smile. The Gemini wolf got out from the ground and went back up to the surface. He walked into the mansion so he could give the good news to his Alpha. He reached the Alpha’s chambers and walked into the room without even knocking. When he got in, he found Cornelius Primo inside his communication room filled with computers having a meeting with his high beta

PARIS A YEAR LATER “Au revoir, Jacqueline. Get home safe, alright?” A man said to his worker who had just left his bakery for the night. “Will do, Monsieur Henri. See you tomorrow,” She said as she walked away. It was late in the evening and a lot of businesses were closed. The streets were dark but thanks to the glow of the street lamps, there was enough light for Jacqueline to move around. She walked through the streets of Rue de Rivoli and she hummed to herself as she walked. As she was walking, she suddenly had this feeling that someone was following her. She turned to check but there was no one behind her. She felt maybe it was just her nerves for having left work so late tonight so she kept walking. Some distinct shadow suddenly ran past her from behind and she felt the wind. She gasped and turned around again but still, there was no one. Jacqueline was getting scared because she could feel that she was being stalked. The streets were empty and she was all alone so there w
First Moon
Maximus found himself walking on an empty field and all he could see all around him was the green carpet grass. There was no one else and nothing else in sight, just the green.Nothing about where he was felt real but yet, he could feel the heat of the sun. He could feel the coolness of the breeze on his skin and he could smell the grassy aroma coming off the leaves. "Where am I?" He asked himself as he continued walking. Then, he spotted something just up ahead, something different about this place. He walked further until he saw it better. There was a section of the grass that was dried up and grey and it made a circle within all the green. Inside the circle, there was a tombstone on the ground and it had Allison's name written on it.Maximus saw her name and stopped walking. He stopped with his foot mere inches away from the grey grass. His eyes watered up and his brows flared together when he remembered his dead mate. He didn't want to be here because he was being reminded of som
Witch In; Witch Out
"For so long, I have imagined this moment. I have played it out in my head what seeing you again would be like. I will admit that when I envisioned this moment, I was always scared of you. Even after I became a Witch, I was still afraid of just the thought of you because of how much you messed me up as a person. I have battled all sorts of things, all sorts of abominations that would leave even the strongest Witch emotionally scarred for life and I didn't feel a thing but with you, I would have nightmares and I would sometimes blink and in that quarter of a second of darkness, I would see your face and it would terrify me," Peace said to Constance."Aw, I left an impression on you," Constance said condescendingly, almost like she was making fun of Peace."You did," Peace admitted, "For so long, I tried to be the best Witch I could be just so I wouldn't end up like you. Everyone always raised their brows about me because I inherited your powers and they felt like I was doomed to go dow
Anti-Toxin
The young vampire sat in a dark corner in Jorish's living room and was sobbing because she was so terrified by what was happening to her. She didn't want to believe that she was now a soulless blood-sucking monster but all the clues were pointing out that she was but she didn't want to accept it.The sound of her weeping started annoying Jorish who couldn't focus on the book she was reading. She started to rethink letting the girl out of the dungeon and played with the idea of putting her back but, for some reason she couldn't quite put her finger on, Jorish decided to converse with her instead. She closed her book and spun her chair around to face the vampire."You've been making that sound for almost twenty minutes now. Are you even shedding any tears?" Jorish asked her."I don't know why nothing's coming out," She said and rubbed her face but there were no tears even though she was really crying."Yeah, that's because vampires can't produce tears," Jorish said."I'm not a vampire,"
A Witch In The Mirror
Maximus went to the lake around the mansion, to the same spot where he had kissed Allison for the first time after they imprinted. He sat by the lake and remembered that moment as one of the happiest he had ever felt and it made him even sadder that she was gone and he would never feel that way again.Whenever the mate of a werewolf died, he or she would have to get over their death mentally and emotionally before they would be able to mate again. If the werewolf isn't able to heal from the loss, they'll remain without an imprint for the rest of their lives, unable to find their mate to complete their existence. Maximus wasn't an ordinary werewolf; he was a True-born, True Alpha and he was strong not just physically but mentally as well. He knew he could get over Allison's death. All he needed was time but at this moment, it felt almost impossible to not feel the pain and the emptiness left by her absence. It hurt more than the injuries he had sustained at Primo's hands and all he co
Clean Up
With their tails behind their legs, the Saviours did the walk of shame after crossing through the hex and getting out of the car they had stolen from the concert. It was clear from the way they walked back to the mansion that they were defeated and it would take a while before they were back to full force because they had suffered a crushing defeat tonight.Jess and Aliyah were the first to go into the house. They turned around to see if Maximus wanted some company but he gestured at them to go and get some rest, signalling that he'd be fine. They did as he said and went upstairs to their room while Maximus kept walking and headed to the back of the house. Mira didn't think it was a good idea to leave Maximus alone at this time because she remembered how impulsive he could be. He hadn't been impulsive for a long time but the amount of loss they had suffered today could make him do something crazy so she decided to follow him to whatever part of the house he was going to.While she fol
The Concert IV
PEACE'S POV...The amount of chaos and loss that occurred on this night was unlike anything I had ever witnessed. So many people turned while others died from the bites, their systems unable to handle the process of the change and their lives got altered forever because of one werewolf's delusion for power. Why did the vampires even do this? Why today of all days? So many things were out of order and it felt so unreal. I knew something was coming but I never once suspected that this could ever happen to the world on my watch. I never expected it to get to this point but it did and it came at a cost that I could have prevented but because of the Witcher's Law, I could only sit by and watch as the chaos ensued.Maximus Cullen, his Luna and his betas had suffered a crushing loss at the hands of Cornelius Primo and his Mudders and they weren't even able to stop his plans. They always knew their lives were in danger when they took it upon themselves to fight the Alpha Mudder but now, th
