Enzo's knuckles turned white as he held on to the table. The dim light above him flickered, making long shadows in the room. Serena was not there. Taken. The clock had started ticking when she went missing. Matteo Rossini was getting closer to getting her, and every second that passed brought Enzo closer to losing her and his chance for revenge.

Bianca's voice broke the silence. "We can't wait any longer," she said. She stood by the window and looked out at the streets below. "Ghost, Rossini's men are looking for you right now. They'll be trying to find a way to get to you.

Enzo's jaw tightened. He couldn't let that happen. Not right now. Not after all that. He had made mistakes, but he wasn't going to make another one by waiting for Rossini to come to him.

"Then we make our move," Enzo said, his voice sharp and sure. He was already thinking about plans and strategies. But the city was a war zone, and he knew that Rossini's close friends were hard to reach unless they could find a way in.

Bianca looked at him. "How? You can't beat him by yourself.

"I don't plan to," Enzo said quietly. "I'm getting people together, people who owe me. People who will help us get rid of him.

Enzo knew exactly who he was dealing with when it came to Carmela Santillo, but she was one of the few people who could help him get guns for his crew. She had the guns, and Enzo had the people to help her. Damon had worked with her before, and now Enzo needed her more than ever.

People didn't ask questions in the old, run-down warehouse on the edge of the city where the meeting was held. Carmela was waiting for him, and she was calm, as usual. But her sharp eyes were looking for any sign of weakness in him. The smell of gun oil and rusted metal filled the room.

"Do you know what you want?" Carmela's voice was low but steady.

Enzo nodded. "I need enough weapons to fight Rossini and his men." Anything you can give me.

"Enough to burn down a city," she said, her lips curling into a tight, knowing smile. "But that kind of fire costs money. You need my help, Enzo? You will owe me.

Enzo said, "I'll pay what I owe when the time comes," and his voice didn't waver.

Carmela's eyes quickly moved from the crates behind her to him. "You've got guts." I agree with you. But keep in mind that everyone is a target in this game. Especially people who think they can trust others.

Enzo's look got harder. "I don't trust anyone." I only need the guns.

Carmela pointed to the crates with a quick motion of her hand. The deal was made. Carmela and Enzo both knew what was at stake. He was only one move away from finally getting close to Rossini, but the game got more dangerous the closer he got.

Enzo had his team ready. Bianca, Carmela, and a few others who owed him favours were all there, ready to act. But the plan was never easy, and neither was his crew.

They met in an old safe house in the middle of the city to talk about what to do next. But something didn't seem right. There was a lot of suspicion in the room, and Enzo couldn't shake the feeling that someone was playing both sides. He wasn't blind; he knew what it looked like to be betrayed.

"Are you sure everyone is on board?" Enzo asked, looking around the room.

Bianca's eyes got smaller. "I only trust myself, Ghost. But everyone else here is in your debt.

Enzo needed more than that. He wasn't going to take any chances.

Enzo's eyes kept going to Tristan Rocco, the city's financial genius, as they talked about the plan's details. He had worked with Damon before, helping him wash money and do other shady things. But there was something about Tristan that made Enzo feel uneasy.

He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but Tristan's attitude was off, he was too calm and in control. And how he stayed away from Enzo's eyes...

Enzo waited for the room to get quiet. "Tristan," he said, and his voice cut through the noise like a knife. "You've been quiet. What aren't you telling us?

Before he spoke, Tristan's eyes flickered for a second. "Nothing," he said too quickly. "Just making sure everything goes according to plan." That's it.

Enzo wasn't sure. He could feel the heaviness of the room on his shoulders. There was something wrong.

Enzo couldn't react fast enough. The room was quiet for a while, and everyone was paying close attention to the plan. Then there was a gunshot, and then there was chaos. The smell of gunpowder filled the air, and the sound of a chair crashing to the floor echoed through the room.

Enzo turned around and reached for his gun. But it was too late. One of his own, Tristan Rocco, was already pulling the trigger and aiming right at Enzo.

"No!" Bianca yelled and dove in front of Enzo just as the bullet grazed his shoulder. Bianca fell to the ground, holding her wound, and the room went crazy. Enzo's heart sank.

"Son of a bitch," Enzo said in a low, angry voice.

Tristan's smirk was cold and uncaring. "Did you really think I was with you?" Ghost, you're just a pawn in a much bigger game.

But before Enzo could fight back, the door to the safe house burst open and a group of Rossini's men rushed in. They started shooting before Enzo had a chance to react.

In the middle of the chaos, Rossini's men dragged Serena Voss, the woman Enzo thought he had lost, into the room with her hands tied. Enzo and Bianca were fighting off Rossini's men. She looked Enzo in the eye, her face pale but her mouth twisted into a grim smile.

"I told you," Serena said in a voice that was barely above a whisper, "that I would come back."

Enzo's heart raced. The fight was far from over, but now he had a new problem: Serena had betrayed him once, and now she was in the middle of it.

"People who work for Serena are dug in by the fountain." Three of Luca's former lieutenants came in with Serena. No masks. No attitude. Just tired eyes and hands close to their holsters. She stopped in front of him. "You chose a nice place," she said. "Romantic in a way that comes after the end of the world."He said, "It has been the cause of most of our problems." "Sit."They grabbed their chairs.
