Lucy  had a sinister smile on her face, Xayn knew there was no way for him to fight and win. It was going to be the worst thing he would attempt to do. He looked at the wound and it was bleeding fast, he looked  around to see that they were deep in the heart of the dungeon and it turned out they were in the beast’s cave.

“You know I wonder why someone will pay this amount of money to remove something like you, maybe your existence does piss some people off.” Luke looked at Xayn as he pulled out his sword, Xayn knew what was going to happen.

“Even if I am weak,” Xayn was pulling out his sword, he was not going to let them kill him that way. He was going to look for a way to make sure he fights back.

“Even though I don't have much power like the rest of you, I will make sure you don't kill me here!!” Xayn yelled at the top of his lungs, it was like there was something motivating him to fight back for the first time in his life.

‘I can't die here and break my promise to Kira, I will have to fight and make sure I run to the other warriors. I will have a better chance if I am with them.’ Xayn braced himself holding his sword firmly, he looked at the two people standing before him and he knew there was no way he was going to be able to win them but he stood there looking at them.

Xayn charged quickly at Luke trying to cut him, before he could do anything Lucy  delivered one more blow to his back piercing the sword to his ribs.

‘Fuck, I am not going to be able to hold up.’ Xayn lost concentration for the minute he got the hit, he turned to push off Lucy  when Luke delivered another blow, this one deadlier and heavier than anything Lucy  had done.

Xayn fell to the floor in pain, he was losing blood fast and his vision was getting blurry he couldn't move properly anymore. His legs were going numb by the minute, he slowly looked at the wounds on his body and he saw there was no way out of this one.

“Why isn't this poetic? We are getting rid of the world’s weakest warrior, he lived a rather wasteful life and couldn't even take care of his own family. Why do I know they will find a way to survive without you?” Luke was looking at Xayn with a smile on his face, Xayn spat blood on Luke’s face.

“I hope the both of you die..” Xayn was cut short when Luke ran his dagger through his belly, Xayn could hardly scream anymore. He lost all the sensation in his body slowly giving himself up.

“You really think you will get anything from striking me? How pathetic, now die, die knowing you could never do anything in life other than be a failure.” Luke pulled out the dagger, Xayn laid down on the floor looking at the two as they looked down on him smiling.

“Well that’s done, I have spoken to the man. I sent pictures and he said that he was going to add an extra 20 for making the work a quick success.” Lucy  smiled as she looked at Xayn, she walked closer to him and bent over. “I still dont know why he is trying to kill this one of all the warriors, but why do I care I am getting paid either ways.”

“You know, you were worth something in the end.” She smiled as she turned and followed Luke. Xayn watched them walk away, he couldn't move nor raise his hands. When they got to the entrance they broke it down, closing Xayn in to die alone.

Xayn had lost a lot of blood and he was slowly accepting his fate, he looked around to see that the cave was empty. ‘I couldn't do anything in the end, I was weak to the very end.’

[Host body detected!]

‘I broke my promise to Kira and was not able to go back home, I failed mom and I have lost everything.’ Xayn was thinking about his life and how it had been nothing but a failure since the beginning.

‘I pray Kira finds a way to survive me, I hope the doctors find it in their heart to take care of my mom. I can't go on, please God I pray in my second life I will be stronger than this.’ Xayn was accepting the cold embrace of death.

Suddenly a screen pops up in front of Xayn, hovering above him.

Do you want to become the host? All your wounds will be healed and your stamina will be restored.

Do you accept it? YES or No

Xayn looked at the screen and he couldn't say anything, ‘What the hell is this? Am I dreaming?’

The world was black. Not silent, though. The mask laughed in the darkness, its voice echoing like a storm in his skull. “You’re mine now. All mine. No more pretending. No more fighting.”Xayn tried to speak, but his lips wouldn’t move. His body felt heavy, trapped, as if he had been chained in molten iron, then another voice cut through, smooth, steady, calm. “Not yet. He’s still useful.”Xayn’s eyes snapped open. He was no longer on the blood-soaked streets of the Black Market.Instead, he stood in a strange void. The ground was black stone, cracked with glowing veins of red. Shadows swirled like smoke, wrapping around him. Above, the sky was endless and empty, yet alive with whispers, and standing in front of him was the red-eyed man.The cloak around his body swayed though there was no wind. His hood shadowed his face, but his glowing eyes cut through the dark like twin blades.“You’ve walked far,” the man said softly. “Farther than I expected. Most who wear that mask don’t last a

The night was silent now. Too silent. The bodies of Sean’s soldiers littered the street, blood pooling around broken armor and twisted spears. It pulsed with heat, its hollow crimson eyes glowing faintly, each beat in rhythm with his racing heart. His hands trembled as he reached for the edges of the iron. He tried to rip it off, as he had before, but it didn’t move. His fingers scraped against the cold metal. His nails dug until they bled. His blood-red vision tunneled onto Sean, every muscle surging with violent strength.Sean didn’t flinch. He didn’t raise his weapon. He simply stood there, smiling, and that smile made something deep inside Xayn shiver. The mask hissed in his mind. “Kill him. Crush his skull. Tear out his heart. He dares to laugh at you!”Xayn’s fist roared forward, the air splitting under its speed. At the last instant, Sean moved.Steel sang. Sean’s blade flashed like silver lightning, parrying Xayn’s punch with impossible precision. Sparks exploded as fist met steel, the shockwave rattling the buildings around them.Xayn staggered back a step, his crimson eyes narrowing. Sean had stopped him. The mask hissed with anger. “Impossible. No man can match this power.”Sean tilted his head, his smile never leaving. “So it’s true. The mask accepts you.

The night wind carried the faint smell of smoke and blood. Xayn stood at the end of the alley, his chest heaving, his body still trembling from the battle with the assassins. His hand clutched the Shadowglass tightly, while the satchel containing the cursed mask pulsed faintly at his side, and there, standing in the torchlight with his men, was Sean.Sean’s polished armor gleamed even in the dim night. His eyes were sharp, filled with amusement, as though the entire world was nothing but a game for him. His cruel smile widened when he saw Xayn’s bloodied form.“Well, well,” Sean drawled. “The rat returns from the gutter. I half-expected the Black Market to chew you up and spit out your bones. But here you are.”His soldiers chuckled behind him, the sound grating like metal scraping stone.Xayn’s jaw tightened. His body screamed at him to move, to fight, but exhaustion weighed on every limb.Sean’s eyes flicked to the satchel. “And look at that. You even brought me a gift. What’s in t

His single good eye stared in horror, his lips shaping silent pleas for mercy. The black iron mask burned hot against Xayn’s skin, fusing to him like molten fire. The red glow in its hollow eyes pulsed faster with each heartbeat. “End him,” the mask hissed. “One more squeeze. Feel his life break.”Xayn’s breath came in harsh bursts. His body trembled with unnatural strength. His muscles wanted to obey, but somewhere beneath the red haze, his own voice cried out. “No, I’m not, your puppet.” The system’s voice rang sharp in his ears.Warning: Consciousness collapse imminent.Bond at 96%.Emergency override suggested.“Override!” Xayn shouted in his mind. “Do it!”Error: Host will must resist.External override blocked. The mask laughed inside him, dark and triumphant. “You hear it, don’t you? The night air was cold. The lanterns along the street swayed in the faint breeze, their dim light stretching shadows across the stone.Xayn stood in the center of the road, the Shadowglass clenched in one hand, the satchel with the mask pressing against his side. His chest still burned from the fight with Kraven, but now, he wasn’t facing one man. He was surrounded. Dozens of figures in dark cloaks and bone-white masks blocked the street. They were silent, but the air around them was heavy, dangerous, as though each breath carried the promise of violence. The leader stepped forward. His mask was different, carved into a cruel grin, painted with streaks of crimson. His voice was calm, almost polite. “Hand it over,” the man said. “The mask belongs to us.”Xayn’s body tensed. He shifted his stance, keeping his weight balanced, his eyes scanning the crowd for weaknesses. “I fought for this,” he said. “If you want it, you’ll have to take it.”The man chuckled softly. “That can be arrange
