“Captain, the escorts are ready. Three lord wizards are at Forestedge, waiting to join us. They said they can come if it is necessary.”

“No. Tell them to wait. We will leave in ten minutes.”

Timothy gripped the box in his hand as tight as possible. The most valuable possession he had at the moment should be inside this box. The legendary rune, Summon Death Knight. The only rune of the kind and many parties wanted to get their hands on it. However, the Steel Knights were willing to do anything to protect it. Their armies were moving toward the Dark Forest as he sat here, trying to gather his thoughts.

A battle was inevitable as many wanted to possess this invaluable rune. If they could, they would have already kidnapped Jason Hope to make more of these.

‘Is it possible to even make more of these? If so, they can create an undead army. That will be a real challenge.’

Despite Jason announcing the possibility of creating a duplicate of this rune, everyone knew it was possible. The only limit would be the number of people who could use them. An Undead creature would use the summoner's power to stay in reality, and not everyone could simply maintain a Death Knight for a prolonged period. Also, a Death Knight wasn’t a real challenge for a Master Wizard.

‘They have several Grandmasters, and we can see the difference among Grandmasters. The Brodice Kingdom will need an army of Wizards to take down Light Shone. And it shouldn’t be a failure.’

Timothy didn’t know what his people would decide, but many major factions would wish for the demise of this growing dragon; the Crystal Pulse. The easiest way to do that was to aid the Brodice Kingdom in the upcoming war.

‘But if they lose, what will happen?’

He couldn’t ignore the threat posed by this immortal alien. Even though the major factions under Grand Wizards like their Steel Knights might not be directly affected by his wrath, there would be severe consequences.

During the time he spent in this small village, Timothy realised how decisive these aliens were. In fact, he wondered if all these aliens were some elite commanders in their world. They made bold decisions and gave precise commands that were effective and quick.

‘Why do I feel like this rune is the least valuable thing in this place?’

The awarding ceremony was as grand as the rest of the event, but neither the winners nor the audience were as excited as before during the ceremony. It was obvious he won the entire thing because the real monsters didn’t step into the arena. Ultimately, they saw why Jason Hope had the confidence to gather all these Grandmasters and put them against each other.

Once the awarding ceremony ended, they held the grand farewell of the event through the entire night.

However, all the major forces had one goal while the commoners and aliens enjoyed the festival. It was to recruit all the talent they could grasp, and some even made offers to the aliens who showed notable performance.

Even though no one trusted these alien humans, there were several among them who showed signs of a promising future. Coupled with the fact that all the aliens could sense Mana and their immortality, they became the most notable yet controversial targets of recruitment.

No one wanted to get these aliens too deep in their hierarchy, but it was obvious they could no longer avoid them. Only these aliens knew about Jason and his life in their world, and Timothy increasingly felt the need to keep their eye out for the potential threat.

‘Luckily, he isn’t a wizard. If he succeeded in becoming a wizard, it would have been a disaster for all of us. And why can’t I be happy?’

His performance against hundreds of Grandmasters across the world caught the eyes of many important figures, and he took all the actions necessary to ensure the best for his faction. From the hints and attention he got, Timothy knew his future looked brighter than what it had been two weeks ago.

‘That is it. It is exactly because of the Southwestern continent.’

His home continent had a sleeping giant; a giant that could bring a disaster.

“What do you think of this battle?”

“Sigh.”

The older man with a long white beard had a turmoil of emotions as he watched the battle between Amelia and Jaons.

“She is definitely the strongest I have ever seen, My Lady. I am not sure if I can go against her. The alien is not a challenge. His aura control is bad, and he is much slower. But….”

The man looked at the enchanting beauty sitting on the golden throne. Her body radiated a rich glow that gave a sense of relief to all living beings. Her presence alone made his old bones fill with energy.

“This young man is immortal, and he….”

“He has only been here for a year.”

“Yes, My Lady.”

The older man wanted to suggest either recruiting him or suppressing him as soon as possible, but he knew better.

She may look young, but this was the Grand Wizard of Life. Her knowledge and abilities were beyond comparison and unmatched in their world. It said only her sister, the Grand Wizard of Death, had the strength to match her power.

There was a reason for these powerful entities to stay clear of the alien, and he had no right to question her.

“Very well, you can leave.”

“Yes, My Lady.”

The older man gave a bow before slowly backing away. He felt odd about the place he was summoned to since there was only Lady Life.

“That is the same answer I got. That woman isn’t simple. No Peak Grandmaster had the confidence to go against her.”

The moment the older man left the room, five blue-coloured projections appeared on the other empty seats in the room. Their images weren’t clear, but there were two women and three men among the projections.

“Amelia Irwin. This hair colour is unique. Regardless, we can’t approach them. They made it clear, didn't they?”

“They did, but this is our world? We can’t simply stand here and watch.”

“Did any of you succeed?”

The question that came from a feminine figure instantly silenced the room. No one spoke a word after that.

They all knew they had no strength to negotiate further with the powerful beings that brought these aliens into their world. They received some valuable resources from the strange aliens who came to their world.

These powers promised to help them find a path to advance as wizards after the three-year mark. However, none of them could ignore how powerless their world was against these aliens who came to their world using majestic ships.

They could only accept the conditions and wish everything would be okay. They all were desperate to achieve one goal since the beginning of the event. Advance beyond the Grand Wizard level.

“We should observe for the time being.”

“Mommy! Mommy! Then what happened?”

“Well….”

Amelia tried to keep up her phase to match Hanna’s excitement. She admitted Jason was better at telling stories than her. She had a hard time translating the words from her mother tongue to suit Hanna. Also, her childhood wasn’t one filled with joy and freedom.

She had to learn ethics, study, and bear responsibilities, and Amelia didn’t wish such a life for Hanna, at least not while she had all the time.

‘Why is he not practising?’

She felt Jason coming toward them.

“Daddy!”

Hanna turned her head toward the door, a moment before Jason came into their room.

“Aren’t you supposed to be training?”

Amelia raised her brow as Hanna rushed to Jason’s arm.

“I have a slight problem.”

Jason tapped his armband.

“Is that…?”

Amelia looked at the familiar blue screen she had seen only once before. However, she would never forget what it was.

“I have to go, again.”

There was a worried look on Jason’s face.

Shouldn't we get rid of him?"Amelia only brought it up once Hanna had drifted to sleep, still clinging tightly to her.Jason didn’t look up from his papers."He isn't snooping around, is he?"His hand moved smoothly, turning a page with practised ease. The light from the magic lantern caught the fine lines of modern paper, not parchment.A subtle sign of change. One of many Earth-born advancements quietly seeping into Yuriel under his guidance.Amelia brushed a soft strand of hair away from Hanna’s face, her eyes lingering on the child's peaceful expression."Hm. But none of your people can stop him."Her voice was calm, but the edge beneath it was unmistakable.Jason finally looked up and met her gaze."Let's wait and see," he said."I don't think he’ll stay long. He’s one of the Shadows. They carry out the Grand Wizards’ will. People like him don’t linger—they act."He paused. The words that followed were slower. More thoughtful. He didn’t bot

"It is indeed impressive. No wonder those fools from the Brodice Kingdom are terrified of you."The hooded figure removed his invisibility, stepping out of the corner with composed movements. His voice was steady and regained the cool confidence of someone who knew his worth.“And you are indeed a powerful woman, Madam Amelia. This is my first time witnessing the presence of a Peak Grandmaster. They are… extremely rare. Rarer than Grand Wizards, in fact.”Despite his previous caution, the Master Wizard now carried himself with certainty. He wasn't someone easily intimidated—and though he wouldn’t pick a fight here, his pride wouldn’t allow him to remain cowering either.“Eh! The ghost is here! Catch it!” Hanna started struggling in Amelia’s arms with sparkling eyes.Amelia held her firmly."That is not a ghost, baby." • 306 - The Messenger

The atmosphere grew heavier, the tension thickening with each breath. The envoys from the Brodice Kingdom stood their ground, their jaws clenched in barely contained frustration.Their eyes—especially those of the Grandmasters—never left Amelia. There was fear there, even if none of them dared to admit it. One step too far, and they knew she could crush them where they stood.Still, their leader stepped forward, holding a scroll with trembling fingers masked by feigned authority.“We are envoys of the Brodice Kingdom,” he declared, voice echoing with forced confidence.“I stand here on behalf of His Majesty—the absolute ruler of our lands. In his name, we extend a proposal of peace. We are willing to lift the bounty on your head... in exchange for removing the bounties you have placed on His Majesty and his subjects.”His words were rehearsed—measured—but anyone could see the nerves behind them.“No.” The room froze. The envoy blinked.“W–What?” Even the officials of Light Shone looked

  • 305 - Tell Me

‘This place… it’s really busy…’ The hooded figure observed the bustling administrative hall in silent awe. He had expected chaos—a disorganised mess of self-proclaimed rulers who were unfit to govern. But instead, what he saw was efficiency. Decisions were being made on the spot, minor issues were being resolved instantly, and orders were being swiftly relayed.Even without direct oversight, everything flowed seamlessly. The alien humans had a system, and they had something else, something his people lacked—Instant communication. He knew of it. They called it a forum or something.‘A divided authority, yet still centralised around a leader…’ His gaze flickered toward the two empty seats in the center of the hall. A symbol of true leadership. Those seated around them were not aristocrats, not nobles, but humble-looking men and women dressed in practical, simple clothing. Yet their eyes were sharp, their minds sharper. Each of them radiated competence.‘These aren’t placeholders. These

‘So, this is Light Shone.’His hidden eyes scanned the streets as he walked leisurely, moving unseen alongside the startled envoys.‘Still too small, but… this is serious potential.’He had slipped out of the carriage as the guards inspected it, effortlessly avoiding their scrutiny. While his invisibility shielded him from their eyes, he still occupied physical space—and he preferred not to take the risk of being noticed. With measured steps, he blended into the bustling streets. What he saw defied his expectations. The village was alive. It wasn’t just busy—it thrived.Shops occupied every available space, their owners negotiating prices with eager customers. People bustled past him, engaged in work yet carrying an air of contentment, their movements purposeful, their faces filled with ease. This was not the Light Shone he remembered.‘Back then, it was different.’It had been just as lively, but the stench of blood clung to the air, and signs of death lurked at every corner. "Is this... alright, My Lord?""Yes. And pretend I was never here. Once we pass through, you won’t see me again. Do you understand? No one must know I was ever here.""Yes! Yes, My Lord!""And... no one else knows I am here, correct?" The hooded figure’s voice sharpened deliberately."N-No! No, My Lord! We... we are departing soon!" The envoy stammered, his body trembling as he hastily retreated to the far corner of the carriage.‘Sigh… How useless.’The hooded man barely spared him another glance. The Brodice Kingdom had neither the power nor the will to resist the Grand Order that had been issued. It had been nearly a decade since the last decree from the Grand Wizards, and that one had shaken the world, announcing the arrival of an immortal alien.‘But this might be the first time in centuries that they had to step in to stop a minor war.’He turned his gaze to the passing scenery outside the carriage window, watching in silence. No one, aside from the envoy and a handful of high-ra
