“The Endless? Isn’t that the name of the game? Is it a coincidence or is there a meaning behind it?”

Jason whispered in confusion.

He had never heard of magical spheres existing within the real world, and he had never heard about making a contract to become a wizard. Besides, he thought this world had knowledge about breaking the genetic shackles. Instead, he seemed to be in a world restricted by the genetic shackles.

Also, Jason felt it was weird for this world to be called The Endless.

“Why is this world called The Endless?”

“Eh?”

He saw the smarter twin giving him another weird look.

However, the man worried about his brother whose life was hanging at the point of the sharp ice.

“Because… Because this world has no end?”

“No end? You better explain that to me.”

Jason knew his question was raising the suspicion, but he had no choice.

If there was no other choice, he might have to end the life of these two to keep his identity a secret.

“There… There is no end to our world. No one knows how big it is or how many continents are there. The magic domains spread across all known continents, but even those areas are almost infinite. Then there are dark lands and chaotic domains where humans can’t live.”

“Hm? What about magic spheres?”

“Magic Spheres?”

The other party looked confused.

“Sigh. How many magic domains are there?”

“Eh… Six?”

“Not seven?”

“No… Only Wind, Water, Earth, Fire, Life, and Death….”

The man looked even more confused.

‘So it is similar to the six known spheres, but there is no seventh sphere.’

Jason fell into thought.

“Hm… Are there places where two or more magic domains clash?”

“Clash…? There are places where some magic domains come into contact, but there are clear boundaries. As far as we know, the most domains in contact are two.”

“Hm… So… One needs to make a contract with a magic being to become a wizard. Am I correct?”

“Yes?”

Jason saw the man looking at the frozen path of ice in confusion.

“Then… Can a person make more than one contract?”

“More than one? But… What is the use?”

“No, I mean more than one contract with beings from multiple domains.”

“Ah… Why would anyone do that? I mean… No powerful being will tolerate such disrespect. But… There are cases where one can make multiple contracts, but only those very weak magical beings will accept such a thing.”

“So?”

Jason raised his brow.

“So?”

The man looked puzzled.

“So what is wrong with that? That will give the wizard the power of multiple domains, right?”

“Eh… It does… But those weaker magical beings can only bring so much to the table. The wizard will only be able to use weak spells, and it will affect everything including the spell-casting speed.”

‘This is weird. The magic system is similar to Magic Spheres, and the failure of multiple contracts is similar to those who have two or more Magic Spheres. None of those people advance too far. If that is the case, why does our wizard don't need contracts?’

Jason pondered for a moment.

“What if someone can feel Mana but don’t get a contract?”

“Ah… They can’t be a wizard….”

“Then what about basic spells?”

Jason waved his hand.

“Arcane Shield.”

The blue shield manifested in front of him.

“That is a basic ability of any ability user. People like my brother are extra sensitive to Mana, and people like him have a higher chance of getting a successful contract. Even if one can feel Mana, they need to be accepted by a magical being to become a Wizard. The abilities of the Wizard will depend on the power of the being who makes the contract with him.”

‘What the hell is going on?’

Jason felt this sounded more and more like the Magic Sphere system but in a weird way.

‘Can it be that we… Wizards are making a contract with some unknown being? That justifies why some can be wizards, and some can only be warriors.’

Then he had another problem.

Who made the contract with him?

According to Amelia, he was never on the weak side. If so, the one who made the contract must be an exceptionally powerful magical being. However, he had no idea of such an arrangement.

‘But there are no magical domains in Yuriel. The Magic Spheres are not in a dimension we can visit.’

As strange as it may sound, the little information he got from this person seemed to make more sense to those unanswered questions from Yuriel.

Why did everyone who felt Mana couldn’t be a wizard? Why do people with multiple spheres have fewer spells and less power?

The more it made sense, the more Jason felt confused.

‘The Endless? Where exactly am I?’

He looked at the man in confusion, wondering what else he should dig out from these people.

“What about summoning magic?”

“Summoning magic? Well… Most wizards can summon the underlings of their contractor. It also depends on the power of the being they made a contract with. Lesser beings have no underlings, and the contractor rarely appears. So….”

Jason frowned.

There was no seventh Magic Domain, but he had creatures he could summon.

He thought for a moment before pointing his palm toward the ground.

“Arcane Spawn!”

A familiar creature resembling a cross-breed between an insect and a reptile crawled out of the magic circle.

“Kruck. Kruck?”

It looked around in confusion, wondering where its prey was.

“A… A Chaotic Beast.”

“Hm?”

The surprised response made Jason happy.

He was looking for a response from his captives.

“Do you know them?”

He had no idea of the origin of the arcane spawns.

“That… That is a Chaotic Beast from the chaotic domains. Only… Only the most powerful lords from the Wind domain might be able to enslave such a creature.”

‘Wind… Ah…!’

Jason realised his first spell had created a misunderstanding.

However, he finally learned the origin of the mysterious Arcane Spawn. Still, according to this man, the chaotic domain wasn’t a magic domain.

‘This doesn’t give me an answer about the Cosmic Sphere. But what is the connection between this world and the current magic system? And why am I in a place where there is no knowledge about breaking the genetic shackles? Wait!’

Jason realised there was another possibility.

‘Don’t tell me this is where it all began.’

His eyes widened with surprise and worry.

He might be in the land where the magic originated, and it might be the period when the humans first learned to break the genetic shackles.

‘Holy… Am I at the beginning?’

He looked at the scared victim with newfound interest.

He first had to learn all about this mysterious land. Only then he could find the answers he was looking for.

..........

Everyone, sorry for being away for so long. I think I am finally at a place where I can write.

"Aren't you worried about that old man? Shouldn't we get rid of him?"Amelia only brought it up once Hanna had drifted to sleep, still clinging tightly to her.Jason didn’t look up from his papers."He isn't snooping around, is he?"His hand moved smoothly, turning a page with practised ease. The light from the magic lantern caught the fine lines of modern paper, not parchment.A subtle sign of change. One of many Earth-born advancements quietly seeping into Yuriel under his guidance.Amelia brushed a soft strand of hair away from Hanna’s face, her eyes lingering on the child's peaceful expression."Hm. But none of your people can stop him."Her voice was calm, but the edge beneath it was unmistakable.Jason finally looked up and met her gaze."Let's wait and see," he said."I don't think he’ll stay long. He’s one of the Shadows. They carry out the Grand Wizards’ will. People like him don’t linger—they act."He paused. The words that followed were slower. More thoughtful. He didn’t bot

"It is indeed impressive. No wonder those fools from the Brodice Kingdom are terrified of you."The hooded figure removed his invisibility, stepping out of the corner with composed movements. His voice was steady and regained the cool confidence of someone who knew his worth.“And you are indeed a powerful woman, Madam Amelia. This is my first time witnessing the presence of a Peak Grandmaster. They are… extremely rare. Rarer than Grand Wizards, in fact.”Despite his previous caution, the Master Wizard now carried himself with certainty. He wasn't someone easily intimidated—and though he wouldn’t pick a fight here, his pride wouldn’t allow him to remain cowering either.“Eh! The ghost is here! Catch it!” Hanna started struggling in Amelia’s arms with sparkling eyes.Amelia held her firmly."That is not a ghost, baby." • 306 - The Messenger

The atmosphere grew heavier, the tension thickening with each breath. The envoys from the Brodice Kingdom stood their ground, their jaws clenched in barely contained frustration.Their eyes—especially those of the Grandmasters—never left Amelia. There was fear there, even if none of them dared to admit it. One step too far, and they knew she could crush them where they stood.Still, their leader stepped forward, holding a scroll with trembling fingers masked by feigned authority.“We are envoys of the Brodice Kingdom,” he declared, voice echoing with forced confidence.“I stand here on behalf of His Majesty—the absolute ruler of our lands. In his name, we extend a proposal of peace. We are willing to lift the bounty on your head... in exchange for removing the bounties you have placed on His Majesty and his subjects.”His words were rehearsed—measured—but anyone could see the nerves behind them.“No.” The room froze. The envoy blinked.“W–What?” Even the officials of Light Shone looked

  • 305 - Tell Me

‘This place… it’s really busy…’ The hooded figure observed the bustling administrative hall in silent awe. He had expected chaos—a disorganised mess of self-proclaimed rulers who were unfit to govern. But instead, what he saw was efficiency. Decisions were being made on the spot, minor issues were being resolved instantly, and orders were being swiftly relayed.Even without direct oversight, everything flowed seamlessly. The alien humans had a system, and they had something else, something his people lacked—Instant communication. He knew of it. They called it a forum or something.‘A divided authority, yet still centralised around a leader…’ His gaze flickered toward the two empty seats in the center of the hall. A symbol of true leadership. Those seated around them were not aristocrats, not nobles, but humble-looking men and women dressed in practical, simple clothing. Yet their eyes were sharp, their minds sharper. Each of them radiated competence.‘These aren’t placeholders. These

‘So, this is Light Shone.’His hidden eyes scanned the streets as he walked leisurely, moving unseen alongside the startled envoys.‘Still too small, but… this is serious potential.’He had slipped out of the carriage as the guards inspected it, effortlessly avoiding their scrutiny. While his invisibility shielded him from their eyes, he still occupied physical space—and he preferred not to take the risk of being noticed. With measured steps, he blended into the bustling streets. What he saw defied his expectations. The village was alive. It wasn’t just busy—it thrived.Shops occupied every available space, their owners negotiating prices with eager customers. People bustled past him, engaged in work yet carrying an air of contentment, their movements purposeful, their faces filled with ease. This was not the Light Shone he remembered.‘Back then, it was different.’It had been just as lively, but the stench of blood clung to the air, and signs of death lurked at every corner. "Is this... alright, My Lord?""Yes. And pretend I was never here. Once we pass through, you won’t see me again. Do you understand? No one must know I was ever here.""Yes! Yes, My Lord!""And... no one else knows I am here, correct?" The hooded figure’s voice sharpened deliberately."N-No! No, My Lord! We... we are departing soon!" The envoy stammered, his body trembling as he hastily retreated to the far corner of the carriage.‘Sigh… How useless.’The hooded man barely spared him another glance. The Brodice Kingdom had neither the power nor the will to resist the Grand Order that had been issued. It had been nearly a decade since the last decree from the Grand Wizards, and that one had shaken the world, announcing the arrival of an immortal alien.‘But this might be the first time in centuries that they had to step in to stop a minor war.’He turned his gaze to the passing scenery outside the carriage window, watching in silence. No one, aside from the envoy and a handful of high-ra
