Chapter 7: Forest Tiger (Part 2)

'' This is my only chance '' Ethan muttered and just as he was about to clash with the tiger he poured more of his mana into his legs and jumped up. As soon as Ethan poured more mana into his legs and jumped up the bones of his legs get fractured and the muscles in his legs that were already bleeding also tore apart when he landed on the back of the tiger he almost fainted because of the pain but he doesn't have time for that just as Ethan landed on the back of the tiger, it started to shack violently.

Ethan Gritting his teeth and endured the pain, he held the fur of the tiger with his one hand and sword with the other hand and then slash at the neck of the tiger since his sword was still coated with mana it made a deep wound at the neck of the tiger.

The tiger roared in pain and it started to shack its back more violently to shack Ethan off from its back but Ethan held its fur tightly like his life depends on it.

He already stopped strengthening his legs from mana when he landed on the back of the tiger or he wouldn't even be able to stand up now because his leg bones would have completely shattered if he used mana to strengthen them.

Ethan raised his sword and slashed fiercely downward again tearing off a large chunk of flesh in the process. Blood splattered everywhere and the forest tiger sensed the danger of death its body began to shake violently as roars of pain escaped from its mouth.

Ethan didn't stop even when he heard the pain-filled roar of tiger and slashed again another large chunk of flesh was cut in half and an even larger wave of blood than the previous one came out of the tiger's body. The pain was so great that the giant forest tiger began to run while roaring in pain.

The body of the tiger hit a large tree and the tree was snapped in half because of the impact Ethan almost lost his footing and fell from the back of the tiger.

A minute had passed since the start of the battle and Ethan have just 15% of his mana left, because of the lake of mana Ethan started to feel dizzy.

Ethan felt his whole world spinning and he had to bite his lips with all his strength to the point of breaking them to fight the drowsiness that had suddenly overwhelmed him.

Using the pain and hatred he felt after being injured to such an extent, Ethan not only did not stop his attacks; on the contrary, he began to slash more and more ferociously! The Dark Slayer Sword in his hands gave a light blue aura and he slashed at the neck of the tiger again.

Because of the pain, the tiger didn't stop running and clashed one tree after another and when he clashed with his fourth tree Ethan couldn't maintain his balance anymore because of the pain and the lack of Mana and fell from the tiger's back.

After Ethan fell from its back the forest Tiger also collapsed on the ground. The neck of the tiger was almost severed because of the sword slashes from Ethan.

Ethan fight the urge to sleep from the dizziness and stood up he looked at the tiger who collapsed on the ground although the neck of the tiger was almost severed it was still alive.

'' Damm! Is the vitality of this tiger connected to the world tree why the hell it is still alive'' Ethan cursed as he saw that the tiger was still alive.

Although the tiger was not dead it was in no condition to attack anymore even if Ethan didn't do anything it will die in some time on its own.

But Ethan was also injured after using his mana to strengthen his weak body his level was still zero so this was bound to happen when he used his mana this way.

Ethan slowly started to walk towards the tiger, he held his sword in his right hand, Ethan was feeling dizzy and his legs were injured so when he walked towards the tiger he fell on the ground two times before he reaching near it.

Since Ethan was feeling dizzy he wasn't able to see the tiger properly when he was a little far away from tiger, but now that he came closer to the tiger Ethan can see that the tiger was also looking at him with hate-filled eyes like he was someone who killed his parents and robbed his wife.

'' Well I didn't kill your parents nor I robbed your wife so why are you looking at me like this'' Ethan who was sure that the tiger couldn't do anything to him muttered in a weak voice when he saw how the tiger was looking at him.

It's good that the tiger who heard Ethan's muttering didn't understand human language or he would have coughed up the remaining blood of its body and died sometime earlier than expected.

When Ethan saw that the tiger didn't react to his jock and was still looking at him with its hate-filled eyes he decided to end this and take some rest.

Ethan lifted his sword and was about to completely sever the neck of the forest Tiger who looked like it can't even blink its eyes, but suddenly the tiger opened its mouth wide and shot out a green blade made of wind.

Ethan who saw this tried to evade the green blade but he was standing very close to the tiger so when the tiger shot the green blade from its mouth he was caught completely off guard not to mention he was still feeling dizzy because his mana was very low.

The green blade struck at the right shoulder of Ethan the leather jacket that he was wearing tore apart from his shoulder area where the blade struck and the green blade continues in its path and opened a deep wound in his shoulder ,even his bone can be seen from the deep wound.

Just as the green blade struked Ethan on his shoulder he dropped his sword on the ground and cried out in pain blood continue to flow down from his wound.

Ethan tried his best to witness the pain so that he won't pass out at this critical moment.

Ethan grabbed the sword with his left hand and throw it towards the tiger the sword struked the tiger in the middle of its head and pierce through its brain ending its life . Just as the sword struck the tiger and it died a large amount of energy rushed towards Ethan and many notifications appeared on his status window.

But Ethan was in no condition to see the notifications because of pain he just wanted to drop here and enjoy a good sleep but he knew he have to change his location or the other magic beasts would come here because of the blood.

Ethan gritted his teeth and slowly walked toward the corpse of the forest Tiger. He saw a skill scroll near the corpse of the tiger but he didn't even look at what skill he got from killing the tiger and just put everything in his Spital ring along with the corpse of the tiger then he picked up his sword.

Ethan took out a healing potion from his storage ring and drank everything in a single gulp, after five minutes since he drank the potion the bleeding from his shoulder stopped and he started to walk away from the forest although he drank the healing potion and his mana was already fully recovered because he leveled up after killing the Forest Tiger, his legs were still severely injured and he was exhausted after the fight so after walking for half an hour he found a high tree and climbed on it with difficulty.

After sitting on a thick branch he leans against the tree trunk and falls asleep.
