Chapter 13: The Effect of Unlocking Meridian

He felt pain like no other when all of his twelve meridian opens at the same time. It was like fireworks is exploding inside his body.

When that first ahead to Li Xin, his entire body felt like it was hit by a truck and only after a few days later that he could shake off the pain

For the first few days after opening all of his meridian and the acupoint of his meridian, it felt like someone cut all of his veins from the inside.

Maybe that is also the reason of his depression. The pain is none like a pain that Li Xin had ever felt in his life

While he was not exactly a spoiled rich brat, he is after all a rich person and there are many things in life that is easy for him.

He never suffered pain that he could not solve.

But the feeling of having his entire body wrecked apart like someone had just burn him from inside out and having no way of quenching the fire, how could anyone, even the most trained people could withstand.

It is not like Li Xin tries to withstand it. It was that he had no other choice other than to withstand it.

It is only now that when Li Xin takes the time to calm down and relay thinks about it that he was grateful that he experiences such pain.

It was like a baptism that he had to go through

Because after experiencing such pain, there is this mentality in his mind that made him not fear pain anymore.

Nothing would probably to that pain he had felt when he opens all of his twelve meridians at the same time.

He sighed as he rubs his hand with the water around him

‘I also need to check what does these acupoint and meridian do’ he thought to himself as he takes another dive and let his body fall down to the bottom of the stream

The water is very clean.

One thing that he could not complain about the ancient world is that the water, the air is all very clean and breathing it in is like breathing in life

Li Xin keep his breath as he lay down on the bottom of the stream.

And then a few second later he surfaces up and once again lean back on the large stone, his head on the stone, his eyes look at the clouds above.

The glare of the sun did not blind him as there is shades of branches of trees that is full with leaves that block some of the sunlight.

Even though it is not long before noon, he did not feel that hot

He thought of certain thing he should review later

The meridian is one of the things he needed to check

The reason why he needs to review his meridian is simply because after he opened all of his meridian, he did not even check what it is able to do and what is the benefits of having all of his meridian opened.

Of course, there is many other things that he need to check other than just the meridian.

He also needs to check what is his reputation.

Because of his depression he did not care much to check about his own status window.

Of course, it might seem like a stupid decision at that time and it is a stupid decision but at that time, he still could not believe that he was transported into the game he had played

He even thought he had dream it all. Yet, even in that state, he knew enough to level up some of his skill, to evade attack and fight.

But other than that, he usually just swipes away the notification of his status window. And he did not know what is his reputation.

However, he does remember his title. Wandering Hero. That is his title. This must be because he is not affiliated with any sects or martial art school

And he knows his power level which is the One with the World state. And he knows some of his ability.

But even this must be reviewed.

‘I forgot to many things. Since I have decided to live in this world…...’ and he paused for a while and closes his eyes and sighed

‘Just cast off my old name and be reborn in this world. Someday…...someday, I might find a way to go back. But…for now, I must survive. And with the system, at least I could stand out and be remarkable in this world’

Li Xin thought to himself that since he could not get out from this world, he better learns to live in it.

And with the system helping him, it is destined for him to not be unremarkable.

And he is also curious…if he reaches the apex of the martial path…. could he return back home?

If he really denied everything about this world, then he should not have cared about the points, and he should not have allocated points to the Life Skills and the lightness skill.

Because, deep in his heart, even when he wanted to deny the truth that is right in front of his eyes, a part of him, accepts it and tries to survive.

The rejection of him not reading any of the notification when he was ranking up or trying not to read the description of the Life Skill abilities is him rebelling against his own reality

Since he already decided to put a stop to that, he must review everything carefully and make sure he got everything right before he go down the mountain and enter Jianghu.

‘My lightness skill points must be a lot right now’

Lightness skill points is used to level up lightness technique

Once learned, these lightness skills usually do not require any cultivation. To learn or rank up lightness skill, he could use the pints he gets to learn it in a swift manner

Unlike the martial skill points, lightness skill requires more points to rank up.

But this is basically negated by the fact that it is easy to get lightness skill points since he uses it all the times and usually when he opens pack that is given after he finished a quest, lightness skill is one of the points that is rewarded the most

Li Xin had a theory on this. If martial skill points are used in a battle the most, then when he opens the pack, there would be many more martial skill points inside the pack and vice versa

But, like always this is hard for him to prove. And even if he asks the system, it is not like the system is going to talk with him

He has to find it out for himself. He also has to see whether his infamy points and his fame points has risen a lot.

He doesn’t think there is many change on that since he did not yet enter Jianghu but who knows.

There is a lot of things that he needed to review. And maybe, he also need to buy some armor, he suddenly thought to himself.

‘After all, that was a close call’ he mutters to himself.

He does not yet have any way of neutralizing poisons

If that person in the dark attacks him with a poison needle again and this time he is unlucky and got nicked by that needle, he might be able to use points to buy some antidote from the system store.

But that also depends on what kind of poison that is coated on the needle. If it’s the kind of poisons that the system store has no antidote for then he would suffer a lot.

The System store has some items that are fixed and some items that are not. Fixed items are items that would not disappear.

Like Sharp Sword. He could buy this all the time. But there are things that is only there in the system store for a limited time

In that limited time, if he did not buy it, it would disappear from the system store. Of course, sometimes it would return back to the system store.

But it is not like he could be certain when the item would come again.

If the poison that he got requires a certain special pill and if at that time the system store did not have this pill, then how should he deal with it?

That is why he was thinking of buying some armor

‘Or I could always learn some of body strengthening skills’ he thought to himself. He also did not check how many golds that he has.

‘It must be a lot by now’ he thought to himself. And his storage bag is also almost full. At least he thinks so.

He had been just throwing things into his Storage bag and sometimes he even forgets what is in there.

He sighed.

‘There is a lot of things that I need to sort out’ he thought before taking a deep breath and once again dived and wash his body.

Then he gets out of the stream, finished bathing himself. His entire body is refreshed and then he brought out new clothes from his storage bag

Before he had already bought many clothes. He brought the clothes back to the hut and throws it inside a rattan basket on the edge corner of his bedroom.

Then he sat down on his bed.
