“How the hell did those two even cross paths in the first place?” Nick couldn’t help but ask, his tone laced with disbelief. “I’ve never seen the Commander entertain any women before.”

“Maybe because he didn’t like them,” Ray answered with a smirk. “But that’s what makes it interesting, doesn’t it?”

Nick scoffed, still feeling envious that Oliver had a wife, and he didn’t.
