Jason looked shocked, his eyes moved to her, then to the others, who still hadn’t said a word in his defense. "Why have you chosen to be this useless?" she continued in a low growl. "You haven’t worked a single day since we got married. Maybe you just like sitting in that chair, being pitiful, and using it as your excuse for why you're a broke man." Jason’s teeth clenched. He wanted to defend himself, to explain again, but the moment he opened his mouth, Olivia raised a hand. "Don’t say a word, I’m not done. You think you can play the victim forever? My family paid for your therapy, flew you around the world, gave you access to the best doctors, and yet here you are, back with the same damaged spine and still sitting in that chair." She rubbed her forehead. Jason lowered his gaze, disappointed at her reaction but he didn’t talk.

The rain had been falling on Moonveil City since dawn, running in silver threads down the tiled roofs, spilling from gutters into the crooked alleys. The sky was low and iron-grey, heavy enough to press against the tower-tops of the Martial Regulation Bureau. If you are going to pay me the money then is going to be today and right now, or I will have to force you to lick up the liquor”. August's devastation intensified as he realized the gravity of the situation, this was not optional like Tom presented it the first time. His intentions were clear; he did not at all cared about the money all he wanted was to have August lick the floor for their amusement.
