While his pack was at war with some real wolves, (they were werewolves kicked down by Zeus from heaven. Zeus had turned them into wolves) he was helped by some Nymphs after he had been shot by some humans. The Nymphs needed him to be their leader to fight some Centuars as a token of appreciation.
