Tora Midnight Poppy Land

For generations, the North has been divided among several powerful Viking clans, each fiercely protective of its land and independence. In the South, kings and ambitious rulers see that division as an opportunity to expand northward and seize valuable trade routes and resources. When Erik inherits Gutagard after his father’s death, he wants only to protect his people. But the growing southern threat forces him into war. What begins as a fight to defend his clan soon becomes a struggle for territory, power, and the future of the North. Erik’s campaign brings him to Borislav, a southern fortress guarding an important route into the South. Its fall turns a regional conflict into open war. As Erik pushes deeper into southern territory, the northern clans begin turning against one another, fearing the rise of a ruler powerful enough to dominate them all. Standing against him is Ameliya, the king’s fierce red-haired daughter and feared archer. Determined to protect her family and kingdom, she joins the fight against Erik. Their paths repeatedly collide, turning enemies into reluctant rivals as both are forced to choose between loyalty, ambition, and the future they want. Over more than two decades, kingdoms rise and fall, brothers become rivals, old enemies become allies, and a new generation inherits the consequences of those who came before them. Witches, curses, visions, and ancient beliefs remain woven into the lives of those caught in the conflict, shaping fears and decisions. Erik is no longer the young warrior who inherited Gutagard. He has reshaped the North and changed the balance of power across surrounding lands. But the greatest battle is no longer about what he can conquer. It is about what he will leave behind—and whether the world built by his blood will survive him.
