Underdog Rise

In a world much like ours, there exists a planet no different from Earth. Through the ravages of time earth has come to stand alone as the dominant planet in their own little system. Not knowing much about the universe they find themselves in, when unexpected visitors known as Dooms arrive from beyond the Nether bringing with them apocalyptic like events that threaten the very fabric of existence of the entire planet, nobody is there to save them. Fortunately, with the influence of the Dooms arrival, the humans of Earth develop new ways to cope with their ever desperate situation. Heroes rise up to face the rising threat of the Dooms and among them, two boys who grew up as best friends, through an unfortunate tragedy inherited amazing powers from otherworldly beings. They would go on to become unlikely saviors of a once flourishing civilization on the verge of destruction. Follow the story of the Constantine Cleveland, the cheerful and hardworking youth of ordinary origins and Baron Maspeth, the entitled and eccentric rich boy as they become enemies and later, brothers, in their bid to save their world from certain doom.

This is the new version of my previous story which has the same name. The story will be slow-paced. There isn't much action in the first chapters. Everything in this story is fictional. The names of the people and institutions were made up by me.

A state of confusion fear and panic soon befell the entire human race, some humans chose to worship these beings who later revealed themselves to be demons. All hope seemed lost until a miracle happened, humans with special abilities began to emerge, humans who could go toe toe-to-toe with these demons without breaking a sweat. These were the first ability holders, the beacon of hope for the human race, they drove back the demons, creating more like them, returning humanity to its former glory. With their newfound abilities, humans built a wall around the western hemisphere, a wall made of holy metal imbued with the holy energy the world came to know as "Mana" Humanity took no rest or celebration for their victory, they built academies and facilities to teach and train their young ones for the inevitable war. Among these young ones was a young and powerless Hiro Bliss. Follow Hiro's rise to power as he becomes an angel and goes toe to toe with Lucifer himself.
