A night full of terror.

The sky was full of lightnings and the storm was upon them. The country hasn’t faced such a disaster for ages even since the meteor shower. But tonight, as the oceans were out of control and the seas in their madness, the sky decided to join them and create a hell upon this land.

Fonare.

The beautiful land of magic and wander and wonder. A land of talented people who were separated from all habitants of the planet by the seas. A natural isolated place to live in abundance and prosperity.

An island…

Long ago, one night like this, the sky cracked open and something that changed the planet, came down and the transformation of everything began. It took three days of pain, misery, and injury of all living beings. Their skins damaged and the pieces of alien meteor found a way to infect them all.

So, it began.

The story of transformation of a planet.

The night of the storm, the long waited foreseen date was one of the most fearing situations since the great meteor shower. One of their future seers have seen this day long ago, and ever since then, they prepared themselves for that day. The entire nation got its work and ready for the disaster. That night, far from all the rush, there was that little girl named Velia, the new and young seer, the child of now, a sweet girl. She was playing with its doll and had no idea that something beyond predictions would appear to her at that very moment.

She was in the shelter, a huge underground compound that was built for such days with other children and old ones. She suddenly heard a song that was sung long ago by a mother of a pretty little girl named Ileya. She suddenly closed her ears and focused on the song. It was a beautiful female vocal and the song was full of sorrow. She listened to the lyrics.

Oh, sweet Ileya

Your tiny hands hold the snow

And a cloudless night in your dreams

And the stars

Oh, little sweet Ileya

In a faraway land

You lost time

And ever since then

The snow drops

And in the night

And the stars are so far away

And the stars ever since

Keep falling into you

Velia suddenly found herself crying in tears, a painful fire in her chest crushed her heart. Her friends called an elder one and an old lady approached her and sat in front of her. Velia looked at that old lady with mercy and at that moment she started singing that song. By the time she finished it, the old lady was astonished and surprised by her energy and knowing. Her face of curiosity and confusion got her little eyes.

“Where do you hear that song?” she asked in curiosity. Because Velia could see and hear things at present. Only at present time.

“A mother sang it now and then,” she replied and continued. “It was so sad. Ileya died that night.”

“Oh, sweetheart,” said old lady, “Oh my little child, Ileya died about 930 years ago in the first attack of Vietal in Golmira. You are too young to know this. Do you now see the past times, too?”

“No,” she said waiting a few moments. “That mother is singing now as well.”

“How this can be possible?”

“They are in the sky,” said Velia. “All of them. Moving, dancing, and singing.”

The old lady stood up quickly and a young boy approached fast, and she started talking rapidly. “Go and find Mienoi and tell him that something is happening in Golmira right now.”

“But ma’am,” said young boy, “Mienoi is very busy now and the storm is about to happen. We were said to remain here until it passes.”

“This is more important than anything.” said old lady. Velia kept listening to them. “He will understand. Now go. Fast!”

The boy ran and disappeared in a heartbeat. Once again, Velia looked at the old lady. But now the curiosity she had before was gone and there was that unwanted impression on her face. She sat down in front of her and hugged the little girl. “Oh, sweet girl, the burden of the world is now on your shoulder. Oh, sweet little thing, the coming days are going to be hard for all of us.”

Velia shook her head and denied what the old lady said. But deep down she was aware what was going to happen. And it wasn’t good at all. And there was nothing she could stop it but play with it and do her part.

The storm was just the beginning. And what was hidden in it was going to destroy many things and take lives. This was just sad and terrifying. At this very moment, she could see Zuanal as well. They were waiting. Waiting. And waiting.

With eyes of victory.

A victory that was going to kill these beautiful people in Fonare.
