Chapter 21 (rewritten)

That defiant attitude seemed to be the last thing that I could do, because I immediately vomited a blood puddle right at the moment I came to the intended location.

“Ugh… Ugh…” My hand covered the mouth, but the blood didn’t stop overflowing. It moved along my fingers, dying them a freaky red color, then dropped in a fleck of crimson blood on the ground.

Everything in front of my eyes was spinning now. It was hard for me to stand still. Both my legs were trembling—a sign showing that I couldn’t use magic for a really long time—and if I did magic once again, it would be the final time in my life. I let my back lean against the cold wall, staying for a while until I didn’t see any blood pouring from my mouth. It took time, but I had no choice.
