Ch. 49 - A Girl With a Bow

The young man released Jin. Upon setting his sights on the barrel of the gun, shock painted on his face. Rena took him by surprise. The girls shrieked in fear. Jin shook his head, urging Rena to put the gun away. “Such a trivial matter. Rena, what’s the matter with you?”

“S-Sorry, I don’t know what came over me…”

Rena lied. She knew that even though he was a delinquent, Jared had no chance of beating Jin. Unconsciously, she pulled the gun out, attempting to save his life.

The girl, dejected, glued her eyes to the ground. Jin patted her head with a smile on his face. He leaned closed to her ear and whispered. “I know what you did there, but you have no reason to worry. If he doesn’t threaten you, I won’t harm him!”

Gina and Minnie sighed in relief, but their impression of Rena changed. Jared still shook in his shoes. His knees lost all strength and he could barely stand. A thud coming from the other side of the door raised their alarm.
