Getting Things Going...

“Carter… I was wondering… would we automate everything within the Spatial Ark Land?”

‘I don’t see why not, but there has to be some reason why you are asking right?’

“Well… think of it this way… we are going to struggle to find people that we can keep within the space and also make the work to create highly complex machinery.

What if I help design some machines we can build and get them going without the need for human interference.

Get drones busy and working, while we sit back and enjoy.”

‘I don’t oppose the idea; however, you’ll need to organise a great amount of drones…

You’re planning to turn the space into a fucking factory aren’t you!’

“In a way… yes…”

Esmond picked up the capabilities of the space after one visit and knew it would be best if they continued to work secretly within the space and left some of the work out for the open world to see.

‘Very well… but remember you’ll need to put in your far share of work.’

“I understand.”

Esmond had also asked Carter to organise and create a private military organisation that would work for him.

He planned to travel at some point to some of the more war-torn areas and those affected by corruption to source some great warriors.

The plan already included absorbing parts of the African continent and helping establish the region as a powerhouse before 2025.

If not most of the region, then at least some of it.

There were many ideas floating between Esmond and Carter, but everything was still uneasy as they had no clear direction.

Thankfully they knew who to ask…

..

.

Esmond had long left and made his way back home, but first stopped at several nurseries and bought a whole bunch of plants and seeds to be deliver immediately to his home exorbitant prices.

The same happened at hardware stores he stopped by quickly and purchased tools that would help him in the space and Carter.

Once everything was done, he got home and waiting for his parents to arrive before he got their opinion.

Fortunately, they came home quite late in the evening, which let Esmond send everything that was delivered over to the Spatial Ark Land, which caused it to go hysterical, but Esmond couldn’t care since he nearly had everything for him to get started on creating some amazing gadgets.

.

“Your saying… you need to become emperor of the world and now you need to start with busy, so you have enough power to strong arm the world, right?”

Daniel genuinely felt troubled and tried to find a solution which should freak out any normal parent, but he was fine.

Ruby on the other hand asked Esmond to take her to the Spatial Ark Land so she could see the beautiful sights for herself.

With Carters approval, the three went over and were astonished by the magnificent sights before their eyes.

The landscape made from the mountains that would pop up containing endless mountains of resources all for Esmond to use.

Ruby was about to run away and check out the space, but Carter caught her attention as she crash straight into him and started to play with his hair.

.

“Honey look, its so lovely and blue.

Ahh! I wish we had a daughter with such pretty hair…”

Ruby pouted before platting Carters long hair, much to his objection, but he had no choice, so he let it go.

Esmond made quick introductions, but it left his parents thrown back when they met the Carter he spoke about earlier in the day as the rock that helped him keep his soul together.

“Thank you for saving our son!”

Both parents said out aloud to the blushing and flushed Carter who didn’t know how to take the attention he was receiving.

Eventually he stopped squirming in Rubys arms and let her continue with what she was doing while letting Esmond know of some news.

.

“The system store has an automated drone factory that are multipurpose.

Mind you they are horribly designed and eat through resources.

I know for a fact you can improve their efficiency marginally before start utilising the factory.”

Esmond spent 150 million credits on a drone factory, before entering and stripping away most of the infrastructure with Carters help, before beginning the rebuild.

Both parents had asked to stay within the space longer, but without the proper facilities, Esmond felt it would be wrong so he told them to wait for some time before they could come back.

His father even asked for some time off when they returned back home, immediately calling his work and saying some family issues came up.

Ruby was the same and ended up quitting her job when her boss refused to give her the following days off.

Esmond could have argued, but he was just glad his mother didn’t need to work as he had enough money as it was already.

Plus, his mother was an amazing lawyer, so he asked her to help out with his business and she happily obliged, already heading to her study to help sort some documents outs.

Thankfully she stopped and asked Esmond, “Honey, what is it you are planning to sell?”

“That’s done then…”

Esmond and Carter finished up with the final touches of the Drone Factory, while from the corner of their eyes they could see Ruby enjoying tea and making some food in the open air with a makeshift kitchen setup which Esmond brought over.

Beside her was Daniel, alone working on making his dream cabin lodge with all the modern comforts he could afford, while offering him the serenity of the woods.

Carter, the second son of the family, offered to help, but was rejected hard, as Daniel urged him to help the other son finish work on the factory.

Once it was complete things would run a whole lot smoother within the space, so it mattered dearly.

It was a great price for the ready-made factory, but with some work and coding, the same materials could greatly improve the final product.

Esmond needed to gather some minerals now for the factory to get started, but according to Carter it was taken care of already, as the space would harvest small amounts itself without anything needing to be done.

It was a great trait of the space in Esmond mind when he first heard it, but it meant the resources were originally enough for Esmond to create some mining tools or factories that could take the work.

Now he had to hope the drones could do the job.

Thankfully, the number of drones that came out of the factory only number a dozen or so but there was 2 of each type which would take on quite a large number of duties before needing to recharge.

Carter knew how best to handle them, so Esmond left him in charge while going off to help his father with the building of the cabin.

The two were working quite happily side by side till they noticed the house was beginning to look far bigger than originally sketched out.

“Hey Dad, when did you expend the plans to make a pool?”

With a waterfall feature?”

Esmond struggled to figure out his old man, however when he looked over at him when he heard nothing back, his fathers shocked face had him worried till he saw the drones.

Then everything made sense…

They were working at speeds that were light years ahead of what one thought and within just a couple minutes of watching them work, the cabin was complete, from top to bottom with everything Daniel and Ruby wanted inside.

Once they knew about the spaces operating ability, they didn’t stop asking Carter to purchase all the necessary things they wanted to put into the house.

Some items couldn’t be recreated just yet within the space, but with time there would be no issue, so until then they had already decided on a simplistic design throughout, where the wood would be a darker note to help seal them away from the wildness outside.

It was safe and inviting while being close off enough from the outside world that it felt homely.

Esmond was ready to run through and have a tour of the massive cabin, however he had to hold off once Carter called for him, letting his old man wonder inside with his arms wrapped around his darling wife.

.

“Problem…

I just found some bad news…”

Carter explained the banking system of America and the problems they were soon about to face.

“… What are you planning Carter?”

“Thinking of purchasing up a whole lot of the failed banks and properties.

It would cause many to suffer, but I’m thinking about introducing our supermarket chain with our goods made within the SAL.

Many companies will fall during the market collapse so if we can collect enough in a wide range of operations and industries, everything should work out perfectly in our hands.”

Caters words were sound and Esmond found them quite approving so he moved to help Carter the best he could.

Started with rebuilding another Drone Factory.

After that, and with the increased number of resources being gathered by the two mining drones, were enough create a deposit to create a larger resource bank.

Once the second factory was up and running, Esmond and Carter had the drones working overtime to gather tremendous amounts of resources.

By the time Esmond had been back for over a week, the space had produced hundreds of tons of materials from ores to plenty of fresh produce and fabrics that he never expected the space to create.

That wasn’t all, once the cabin was created, the space declared the structure that inhibit within its control become a part of it.

So, the cabin had its own properties and attributes that helped heal him and increase the amount of nutrition his body absorbed after cooking within the cabin.

It wasn’t the only building within the space, with a warehouse that worked much like an inventory and Barnhouse for housing animals was building.

Each building offered Esmond some ability and function, however he wasn’t overly focused on that right now as his mind was working on readying his first product.

He’d bought the Virtual Lab and with the help of the system to remove the dangerous affects, Esmond started working on some of the formulas and ideas from his past lives.

Once everything checked out or was ready to be tested outside of a simulation, he had Carter make it so they could test it out.

So, by the end of January, and time for Esmond to get ready for university which started in a couple of weeks, the space had factories of all sorts from textiles to massive factories producing mountains of steels.

Everything was being produced within the space that was available in the modern world, albeit with a nicer twist or visual appearance that had countless lifetimes of experiences and knowledge.

There was even an idea to recreate legends from other lifetimes and create films or games that could be distributed among the masses.

Eventually all these ideas were added to the list with hundreds of others suggested by everyone in the family.

The only one that Esmond addressed first was establishing his business outside of the space.

.

“The amount of crap you have stocked up in the warehouse astounds me, young man!

I have raised you better than to horde so much and not hand some to those in need.”

Ruby was furious when she heard about the amount of goods stored in the warehouse.

She expected things maybe in the small digits if it came to tons, but hearing Carter tell her thousands and hundreds of thousands of tons… well that made her immediately worry about her son’s behaviour.

“Regardless of if we have mountains with gold pouring out daily, control yourself young man!”

After getting his ass kicked by his mother, he left the space alone and headed for the city, heading to a conference hall that’d been booked for the hiring process.

Esmond had a couple of assistants that served both him and Carter, as he worked as Esmonds number one assistant, however with the added work and wanting some time to rest, he wanted the work to be passed off to others.

“I’ve told you to purchase the next level of A.I programming, yet your stingy ass won’t budge.”

“We both know, it isn’t cheap, and I never had that much to begin with!”

The price was a staggering 10 billion Credits for the intermediate level of programming.

Left with little choice, that afternoon, he planned to write up some new code to help picked up the pace for Carter.

.

..

Esmond arrived at the Hilton in Adelaide where Carter had booked some of the conference rooms.

On arrival, one of his secretaries met him as he excited a chauffeur taxi booked for him.

Most of his time went into planning or training his Imperial Manual which he could do on the move, so he needed someone to drive him around just in case he lost control of the car.

He couldn’t actually train his body properly outside of the space because of the lack of energy with the air.

So, he would focus on training his mind instead and leave his body to the space, but he figured it would cause more problems than nought with the training schedule, so he ended up going with trying to create a way increase the amount in the air on Earth.

He needed some items to create the arrays and patterns that needed to be inscribed into the ground.

After that, Esmond needed to train once within the array and after that anywhere he might be on the planet, the energy would automatically find its way into his body.

Esmond used mathematics, physics, and several modern sciences to help with his ideas, but a whole lot came from the current absurd ideas’ society had in mind for the future, yet things were much simpler.

One particular thing was soft drinks and fast food which would lose its textures and become paste that could be purchased on any street corner.

People long forgot about eating with their teeth and so Esmond brought it back, eventually leading to a whole new light on development for the Empire, but it wasn’t pleasing for those affected by Esmond’s beliefs.

Videos game were another, as he revived classics and brought out a whole industry which sparked some great development for the Empire, but it went up in ash went the world lost its greatest creator to his brothers might blade.
