Chapter 2: Dream Come True

The soldiers looked everywhere for Su Jin but couldn't find him, even his two siblings rushed back when they heard that their youngest brother went missing but even they couldn't find him. Su Bohai, the eldest son of the city lord returned to his Sect and Su Bo also returned after being unable to locate Su Jin. Due to stress and depression, Qui Huizhong had a miscarriage and lost her baby. With both her loved ones gone, living seemed meaningless so she tried to commit suicide.

She stabbed her heart with a sword and then collapsed, hours later, she woke up and surprisingly, the sword she stabbed herself with was gone and there was no blood on the floor. When she checked herself, she found out that her heart was now jade like and had many colours to it. She had awakened the Spirit Jade Heart which didn't just enable her to command all elements, wind, water, fire, earth, metal and wood but also be able to summon spirits.

She went back to the huge tree where Su Jin would always be sleeping, she was hoping to find him there, that everything was nothing but a bad dream but unfortunately it wasn't. An old woman passing by noticed her talents and wanted her to become her disciple and she accepted. After explaining everything to her father in-law, she left with the old woman.

The city lord looked tired and even had a few strands of grey hair, the disappearance of Su Jin had caused him to age quicker and although he was old, he was still a cultivator and could easily live foew hundred years.

...

Inside the barrel, Su Jin stomach was bulging due to large amounts of wine he had swallowed, he floated there without moving but there would always be ripples on the surface of the wine. If one carefully looked at the wine, they'd find out that it had decreased and with every ripple, it would decrease. It was clear that Su Jin or rather his corpse was the one responsible for this phenomena.

Inside Su Jin's body, something extraordinary was happening, meridians were forming by themselves and they looked like dragons, there were even feint lines that resembled something like dragon scales. A Spirit Root also  formed and it looked like a Phoenix, on his back was a tattoo of mountains and rivers with pure white clouds and in between his eyebrows was a small gourd imprint.

Since he didn't have Acupoints, his body itself became a container that contained all the energy he absorbed, he didn't have an energy flow so instead of being a river, his body acted like a pond that was continuously growing in size. His muscles and bones were also being strengthened by the wine again and again until something black and sticky and very stinky was forced out of his body and splattered all over the floor.

Su Jin had successfully broke through to the Foundation Building Realm and had become a fully fledged cultivator. Cultivation was a long and arduous journey full of hardships and it all started with strengthening your body and removing impurities from your body, this was called the Foundation Building Realm and after it was the Qi Condensing Realm whereby after strengthening your body, one would be able to absorb Spirit Qi in the surroundings.

When the Qi in ones body was condensed to a certain degree, they'd have to purify the Qi and get rid of all impurities, this was the Qi Purification Realm and after being purified, ones Qi would liquify and they would have successfully reached the Qi Sea Forming Realm. Above that was the Soul Forming Realm where one would form a soul and continuously refine and strengthen it.

After that would be the Unification Realm where the Qi, Soul and Body would become one. Cultivators at this rank would be referred to as human calamities. Every Realm had nine stages before one was able to break through to the next Realm. Su Jin's cultivation increase from First stage to the Second, Third, Forth,... It didn't take long before he reached the Ninth stage of the Foundation Building Realm.

He then successfully broke through to the next Realm, the Qi Condensing Realm. Just like that, a year passed and was followed by another. The Death Intoxicating wine was reduced to half its size in five years and he was already at the Qi Sea Forming Realm and was close to reaching the the Soul Forming Realm.

A year later, he successfully broke through to the Soul Forming Realm and the Soul being condensed remsebled the gourd imprint on his forehead, the only difference was that this gourd had profound markings engraved on it.

Three years later, Su Jin was already at the Ninth stage of the Soul Forming Realm and with just a little push, would reach the Unification Realm but unfortunately, all the wine in the barrel was absorbed, his skin was fair and smooth like that of a new born baby, he was extremely handsome and didn't age, he still looked like an eighteen year old young man. The only noticeable difference was his hair, it had turned dark brown for some reason.

...

"Is this some kind of tomb? Hahaha, we've struck it rich this time. Maybe we'll even find a Grade Four weapon or a Black coloured cultivation technique. Let's hurry up, it looks like we're the first people here!" Two people spoke while walking deeper into the underground tomb. One was male and the other was a female, they looked to be in their early twenties, wore green robes with fist imprinted tokens hanging on their waists.

"Keep dreaming, do you think Magical weapons are that easy to find, not to mention a Black coloured cultivation technique. We'd be lucky if we managed to obtain a Red coloured cultivation technique." coldly said the woman.

Weapons used by cultivators were called Mystic Weapons and were graded from first to ninth grade, the Ninth Grade being the most powerful and most treasured weapon. Cultivation techniques were separated into five colours, green, red, black, white and grey. Green being a low rank cultivation technique, red being an intermediate rank cultivation technique, black a high rank cultivation technique, white being a peak rank cultivation technique and grey being a legendary rank cultivation technique.

The rank of every cultivation technique was very important because it was what determined ones future. For example, someone having a Red coloured cultivation technique would break through faster than someone with a Green coloured cultivation technique, they would also be able to absorb Spirit Qi faster and the Qi in their bodies would be purer than those with Green coloured cultivation technique, meaning they would spend less time purifying their Qi and breaking through faster.

"Aaahhh! Where are the treasures, there's absolutely nothing here, and what's this horrible smell?! It's like... like..." the young man suddenly realised something and it was at that exact moment that everything made sense. "It's like what?" asked the woman.

"It's like the smell of impurities inside our bodies. It seems someone used this place to cultivate, no one there nothing here." explained the young man.

"Who's fucking making so much noise. I'm sleeping here you know!" an annoyed voice sounded in the duos ears, it had some sort of attraction to it and made those who heard it become intoxicated. A young man about the age of eighteen stood up within a huge empty barrel. He reeked of alcohol and his eyes seemed tired as if he didn't get enough rest.

The most interesting thing was that his eyes were very attractive, like you'd obtain whatever you wanted if you just looked at them. The duo just stood there with blank expression as if they were idiots, they were even drooling. "Hey! Hey!" It was only after the young man called out to them that they came back to their senses.

"We greet Senior! We hope Senior will forgive us for disturbing your slumber and won't take it to heart." the two knelt on one knee and cupped their fists as they apologized in unison. The young man looked around in confusion and when he saw that they were talking to him, he couldn't help but ask, "Are you talking to me?"

This young man was Su Jin, third son of city lord Su Bao and an ordinary person or at least that's what he thought. "Yes!" although they were also confused by the question, they still answered honestly. Su Jin felt that things weren't as simple as they looked. He got out from the barrel and when his feets touched the floor, it caved in. 'What in the world is going on?' he thought to himself.

He checked his body and finally realised something, his entire body was coursing with boundless power and the Spirit Qi in the surroundings was continuously being absorbed by him without even his approval. His consciousness entered his internal body and what he saw was something he almost couldn't believe. "I'm a cultivator... I'm actually a cultivator!"

He then laughed like a maniac with a dumb expression, the duo didn't dare be disrespectful in front of the young man as they felt a suffocating pressure even though they were some distance apart. "Right! Where are we right now?" Su Jin asked.

It turned out they were in the Silent Forest and in the Outer region fortunately. The silent forest was a Taboo Land that was fraught with danger and since it was filled with dangers, it also had many opportunities so many cultivators would enter it in hopes of finding something that might help them break through.

This underground place was built on a very remote place in the Silent Forest and there were no Magical Beasts roaming these parts of the forest. "Do you know where the capital city is? If you do, take me there. I'll reward the both of you handsomely." the most important thing for Su Jin right now was heading back home, he missed his wife and remembered that she was pregnant the last time they spoke.

His thoughts stopped here as he remembered the man who tried to kill him, although he didn't know who he was, he would never forget that guy's face. Su Jin's aura suddenly changed and the temperature inside plummeted drastically, the two felt like they were standing naked in a cold and icy cavern. Fear grasped their hearts as the smell of death permeated the air.

"Sen... Senior, please calm down or you might just kill us with your pressure!" the young man spoke, he had a feeling that the person in front of him wasn't a bad person. Su Jin's expression was cold as he spoke, "Are you ordering me around?!"

The pressure the young man was feeling multiplied by many folds, it felt like he was carrying a mountain on his shoulders.

Crack...Crack...Crack!

Bones cracking sounded and the young man's expression became pale, just as he was about to be squashed to death, the pressure disappeared and he kept panting, his forehead covered in cold sweat and his back was also drenched in sweat. "Forget it, I can't take out my anger on you. Do you have wine with you?" Su Jin suddenly felt some thirst and what he wanted was fine wine and not water.

"Senior, this is Five Leaves wine, it's quite famous in my hometown." the young man felt reluctant to give away this wine and was even on the verge of crying, 'Not a bad guy?! I must have eaten shit to think that way. This guy's a fucking demon!" the young man took out a bucket sized wine vase which in an instant was in Su Jin's hands as he drank a mouthful of it.

"Ptui, what the hell is this?! Horse pee!" Su Jin spat out every ounce of this wine as if he just ate dog shit. "You're telling me that something this disgusting is considered fine wine?!" the young man also doubted himself when he heard these words.

Su Jin threw back the wine vase and the young man took a sip and after that, he had a satisfied expression on his face and couldn't help but exclaim, "Good wine!" Su Jin wanted to puke when he saw the young man savoring the taste of the wine in his mouth, it was like he was looking at someone eating shit and exclaiming that it was delicious.

"Let's just get out of here!" the young man wondered why Su Jin was looking at him with a disgusted expression but didn't ponder over it. It didn't take long for them to reach the surface and Su Jin finally saw sunlight after many years of being underground. "Huizhong, I'll be home soon."
