Chapter 3

"Hello, gentleman," the secretary said to Synder as soon as he walked through the hospital door.

She smiled at him and said, "Welcome back."

Inquiringly, "Do you see blood?" She asked Synder whether he had been bleeding all along. It had gotten his attention and scared him. His proximity to her made it possible for her to conduct a thorough examination of him.

"Oh! It's just a minor cut, come closer and I'll apply this spirit and you'll be fine." The secretary said. Ointment was administered, and the blood was removed.

"Hmm, I've been keeping an eye out for you," the secretary said. Please find enclosed your deposit for Lucian Matis' Operation". Synder received the piece of paper that she had passed him.

Synder picked up the document and thanked the secretary for washing his wound as he left the office. He tried to look up the specifics of the procedure, the payment had been made in full. He wondered aloud whether this was the medical issue Jack's neighbor had been referring to when she said Jack had left due to a medical emergency.

He came right back to her expecting to hear it was Jack that completed the payment.

"Excuse me. I'd like to speak with you. It appears that you handed me the wrong paperwork."

To double-check, the secretary snatched it up from Synder as quickly as she could.

"No, these aren't mine. Our total deposit was one hundred eighty thousand dollars, though. How did they pay for it? The operation was expected to cost $300,000." Synder stammered, waiting for her reaction as he is perplexed.

"It yours mr Synder. The remaining fund for Mr Lucian Smith operation had been paid. Non-governmental organizations typically visit our hospital once a year to foot a bill , and the remainder of Lucian's operation was paid by them. In reality, the budget was intended to be $100,000, but they chose to pay the full amount because the patient is in such a critical condition. Because of this, I've been eagerly awaiting your arrival so that I could tell you the good news." The secretary told Synder.

"Thank you," Synder said, reaching for a handkerchief in his pocket to wipe the tears from his eyes. He was overjoyed, and his mood immediately improved.

"Is there a way to reach out so I could thank them?" Synder inquired.

"No, they chose to be anonymous." The secretary said handing his document back to him.

He quickly collected the papers and left the office. He was overjoyed while he approached Lucian's grandmother. As Synder came in, Lucian grandma was sleeping, and He decided it would be best to let Her rest. He stared at Lucian as he was being operated, thinking to himself, "Thank God I didn't fail you buddy!!!".

After a while looking at the doctors carrying out the operation, He eventually decides to sit next to Lucian granny quietly.

Ka-chunk-creeeeeeak-squeekie-squeekie". As the doctors walked out of the operating room, the door sounded. This jolted Lucian grandmother awake. One of the doctors came up to them to address them while the ret carry on.

"Hello," Lucian grandmother says, remembering meeting with him before the operation to anticipate his response.

"Congratulation, the operation has been completed and it was a success. Lucian will most likely awaken tomorrow morning. He needs as much rest as he could get, so its better you go home and come back tomorrow" the doctor advice them to come back tomorrow since Lucian has responded to treatment.

"Thank you doctor for saving Lucian." Lucian grandmother appreciated the.

Synder then informed her of how the payment was completed. He told her the organization paid the remainder of the bill. He reasoned that it would be best to keep the box side of the story to himself.

They both hailed a cab to relax and freshen up before returning to the hospital the following morning.

The hospital door opens the next morning, and Synder and Lucian grandmother step in. They were both hoping to see Lucian awaken and improve.

"Mr Synder...". the secretary yelled

This grabbed their notice and caused them to turn around.

"The doctor has requested that you and Mr Lucian's grandma come to her office. The office is the last room on the left in the third block ". She said as she returned them to her table.

This immediately piqued Synder's interest. He reasoned that Lucian might be discharged. As they made their way to the office, he became perplexed by the circumstances.

As They sat down, A lovely and blonde female doctor in white entered the office shortly afterwards and addressed them.

"My name is Doctor Georgia Smith,. I'll be the doctor in charge of mr Lucian Smith from now. We gave it our all, but it ended up in a coma. I checked on him earlier this morning and he seemed to be responding well to treatment, and he inquired about his grandmother." Doctor Georgia informed Lucian's grandmother and Synder.

"Ahh," exclaimed Lucian grandmother as she watched the doctor.

""Lucian began twitching suddenly as he struggled to breathe again after the janitor sounded the alarm. We did our best to save him and We will do everything we can to preserve Lucian." This terrified them because Lucian grandmother was breathing with grief and could be seen fighting to breathe.

"It can't be real, doctor; could you just tell me Lucian is fine? He'd be well this morning, according to the other doctor." She sobs in response to Lucian doctor's question.

"Please relax ; we will do everything possible to secure Lucian's safety. We guarantee it."

Lucian's new ward was directed by the doctor because he had been relocated to the intensive critical unit.

When they arrived, they allegedly saw Lucian lying there in a critical state with numerous machines watching over him. He was connected to a drip on his hand by a stretched, narrow rubber hose. His head was wrapped in a bandage. He remained lifeless despite the fact that the monitor showed that he was still alive.

They were only granted opportunity to see him from outside the ward.

"Rustle Rustle Rustle!!!" said Lucian over and over. He was the only one in the ward so no one could hear him.

Soon after, a wave of dizziness seized him, and his eyesight became fuzzy for an unknown amount of time before returning to normal.

Lucian eventually fell asleep and was soon awoken by noises made by the nurses, doctor and the sobbing sound from his grandma.

He could hear everything they were saying, but he could not move, it was as if his soul was trapped in his body.

He didn't know how long it had been, but he felt as if he had spent an eternity, in this void inside his body.

He wished for death each day, but he was always disappointed.

One day his soul was engulfed by a beam of light that dropped from above, dragging him into another dimension.

"The system scan is starting. Profile is being created. Welcome to Rombus, traveler! You have been assigned to the planet Rombus. Best wishes on your trips!"

Lucian stared blankly at the blue box hovering in front of him, trying to make sense of it. The room seemed strangely silent, and he looked around, surprised. The continuous hum of equipment that kept him alive and measured his vitals had vanished. In a panic, he swiped at the air to get rid of the boxes so he could look around, only to discover that he could wave his arms freely.

Lucian have been reincarnated into another world although he could be seen in a crtical state in the hospital.
